ABM will also work on PLI images.

On Black Hole, you get an error about expecting two arguments. It's open source, so can be forked/edited to work on Black Hole.

Latest version of ABM works on Blackhole.

Is your storage device mounted correctly and selected as the EPG storage device?

    1.
Can you test the following please:

Disable all tuners (set to not configured). Reboot the receiver (not restart GUI). Ignore the error messag and press EPG. Is the EPG blank or is it populated and correct?

    2.
There is a possibility that the database is corrupt. In which case you can try to delete it. For Vix images
    Menu > Setup > System > EPG > Load/Save/Delete

    3.
A video guide is here for teh whole process. Perhaps a revisit to double check everything is still fine will be worth while.

You have mentioned that ABM works fine. Can you double check that you can get signal lock on the pictured transponder on all tuners Edit the values to wht ais pictured please? You will find the signal/satfinder applet within service searching menu

Thanks for confirming i've not been going mad. I think I may have to look into alternative EPG providers...

Unless you specify what settings you are using, nobody knows.

There are two aspects of CrossEPG downloader. Internet based and satellite based. The data they acquire must match with the channel/service refernces refernces on your system.

On Vix image, there is a delete option in the EPG menu. Ther is no need to stop enigma to do so as it kills the one in RAM too. Works fine provided you do not have a copy of EPG.dat stored on more than one device.

    Menu > Setup > System > EPG > Load/save/Delete > Delete EPG

That libc6 dependency come about becuse of the version used on the machine that was used to build the package. Not necessarily the version included,

    1. Post a link to the installer you are using please.

    2. Can you try installling dvbsnoop using the following command please:

    Code
    opkg install dvbsnoop

For images that suport internal loop through, "loopthrough" is better than "not configured". You get the ability to record more channels even though you only have one tuner connected.

Please try it if you are not convinced.

    One tuner connected. Other disabled
Record ITV on 10906. Have a look on the 28.2 list, majority will be greyed out, only 11 odd channels will be available.

One tuner connected. Tuner with no cable set to loopthrough
Once you set the other tuner to "loopthrough". You sould find that all the chanenls on that quadrant are availble to select. You can record, view, stream, use picture in picture.

"Tuner not configured" is a software issue.

If satellite cable was broken, that is a hardware issue. As the receivers do not have AI, you would just get a "Tune failed" notification.

Have you got any ports open on your router to allow you to stream the receiver to a mobile? If so, perhaps someone is messing around with the tuner configuration?

There were a few errors and ommissions and some are just the renames reverting

    "+" is replaced with "plus"
    No spaces allowed
    All lowercase

Try the following attachment, should be fine for UK Sat, Cable and DTT.

Iplayer within ondemand does not work. You cn try Kodidirect or TSMedia and see if you fare better.

Not sure if you are referring to the splash screen or boot logo. On Vix the manufacturer's logo i snormally left as the splash screen. Once image starts then the boologo is used. The .mvi files should be kept in /etc/enigma2/

You are in the right place for learning then.

Another option in tuner configuartion that is available to most images is: "Positioner selecting satellites" You can then select a few satellites instead of all of them. We can do that later if you want.

There are two issues which you are mixing up and causing you confusion.

    1. You cannot loop through on a Solo 2/TM Nano 2 Super/Nano 3T Combo from Tuner A to B. You can loop through from B to A fine. Just accept it.

    2. There is an easy way and hard way to do things. There is more than one way to skin a cat too. The Admin/mods here do a good job. They would not deliberatly ask people to do things the complicated way. They try to make things as easy as possible for the users.

If you are referring to this: http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=25334&p=95932&viewfull=1#post95932
you are misreading it. "This is a quick tutorial to show the tuner configuration settings for a Motorised dish setup without using Usals"

That tutorial is for non-usals. It does not say that you must use tuner A, it just happened to be his setup when he was doing the tutorial. The important thing is to configure the tuner to what is connected to it.

The inability to internal loop from A to B is specific to some receivers, it does not apply to every receiver. Some even have hardware loop through which works perfectly fine from A to B.

Only trying to help. I'll avoid posting in your threads if it avoids conflict.

As sad before, the Solo 2 does not loop through A to B. If you have a single cable connected, you should connect it to tuner B. You can set A to loop through to B without a problem.

Going by this thread http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php?t=52772&p=184230&viewfull=1#post184230 I am assuming you have A USALS motor correctly aligned to use USALS. If that is the case, you should stay in simple mode.

If your motor is not correctly alliigned to use USALS, i.e you have to store the positions of each satellite, that is one scenario wher you would use the advanced option.

    Tuner A ==> Advanced
Tuner B ==> seconcd cable of motorized LNB tuner A

That is only applicable if he has two cables plugged in to the tuners. He has more than one thread about same issue, he has even bought a new receiver. The golden rule about setting up tuners is the software configuration must match the hardware configuration. People with tuner config issues are better off describing what is on the other end of the cables (including on between) too.

If he is using a positioner, it is possible that it is faulty. Again this is guesswork in the absence of a desciption.

You can use internal loop from tuner B to tuner A without a problem. Same applies to TM Nano 2 Super and 3T combo. Possibly other 7356 receivers too.

Anyway OP has flashed a different image.
