An aside, on Vix, if you are using the softcam manager, it has a very high cpu usage. best to use the script version of softcam control.
Are you referring to RAM or internal/storage flash memory.
Can you please try and changing the save EPG option to "no". Another image also has an issue with that option being enabled. Please post back on whether it avoids the issue or not, hopefully that will enable tracking and fixing the issue properly.
The EPG will be saved on graceful shut down or restart anyway. Sorry about delayed response.
sarsan, can you please post a screenshot of the EPG settings you are using. the one with Enable netmed, freesat, opentv, virgin etc.

Thank you for the correction. There are no dedicated code writers, everyone who submits changes and improvements does so in their free time.
It will be a lot more beneficial if you could submit pull requests for any bugs you find as well as improvements.
The other issue you mentioned about EPG not showing in infobar even though EPG is present affects several images. Possibly something to do with with polling.
You don't need LCD4Linux. There will be skin options for the "display", change to one that shows picons.
The Duo 4K (non-Se) has wifi and Bluetooth. Just for info, as far as I am aware, the non-Se version is the better hardware. The SE version uses the older chip, same as used in the ultimo 4k.
Can you upload pictures, I will compare with my Duo 4K (non-Se).
Uninstall the previous version, then install latest version. This should avoid the downgrade failure.
Putting in deep standby is turning it off. Please do not just cut the power.
You can't unmount anything when receiver has been switched off. Nothing will on screen, you can't select any menu. Just remove the HDD (when receiver is off, I. E in deep standby. Not just standby)
Please look the standby/restart menu. Select "deep standby". When box is off, then you can remove the HDD.

standby = switch screen off only
deep standby = switch everything off and await timers/power toggle
Standby is one thing, deep standby is another. Please put box in deep standby then remove the drive.
Which version of OpenPLi are you on?
As with all images, if you are on the same image series, a software update will update the image. There is an option in software manager.
If you want to upgrade to a different image series, "flash image" in the menus will do so. You will be offered an option to save your settings. Once you have flashed the new image, it will reboot and will restore your settings and reinstall your plugins.

You should be fine. Flash the image in one of the other 3 slots if you are in doubt.
Your question is not making sense. You have picons for channels, not satellites.
Select the channel . Then press/select
Menu > Information > Service
There is a line saying service reference. This is the name you must use.
