Here is the latest mips version. It still has the libc and enigma2 dependencies in the control file. I have not been able to find out how to to repack ipks yet. If it does not install, maybe try install with no dependendencies

I think the command will be

opkg install --nodeps /tmp/*.ipk

Linux is case sensitive. Don't mix up up lower and upper case on your filenames.

There are a few plugin issues with images using python 3.x Whether you are affected or not depends on what plugins you intend to use. You need to put your needs on the table for people to better advise.

If using ATV, unless you are confident in tinkering, I would say use 6.4. That is the stable version at moment. That being said, you receiver has hardware multiboot, so you can have different images .

USB tuners do not find channels on the Gigablue 4K receivers. If you transfer a channel list, they wont tune. I believe there was a workaround by Sundtek for their tuners.

OpenATV pre-install the plugin on newer images. It is already installed, so you can skip that step.

You cannot get Iplayer option on an Enigma2 receiver. You will have to install a plugin like E2iplayer or TSMedia

By the way, a receiver with only satellite tuners cannot get Freeview. Freeview uses an aerial.

Standby really does not do anything apart from switch off display signal, as your calculations show. In essence, Standby = Idle. I think that this is what what DM use. If you use deep standby, that should go down to about 1w.

Maybe not the answer you want, but have you considered adding a power timer? If the box is not being used for streaming, viewing , recording or playback after your time setting, you can set it to go to deep standby. You can set it to wake up at a particular time. It will automatically wakeup for recordings on its own.

By the way, the Vu receivers with FBC tuners will always output power to the LNB, they never switch off. This is in the drivers.

You cannot flash using RS232 cable. What do you mean "via port lan" ? To flash by command line/telnet, it must be connected to your local network.

1a. You should be able to flash Vix by command line using Grog's script

1b. You should be able to flash ATV by command line using Grog's script

You should also be able to use the OpenWebif to invoke the flashing utility or full image backup plugin.

OpenATV 7.0 uses python 3,

Openvix 6.0 uses python 3

Which image is on there now?

Install it from the plugin server.

Have you tried e2piconizer? You can make/customise your own picons

Something changed in OE which stopped Enigmalight working. There is a thread on OpenATV forum with patched ipks which use the old binary file.

However, you may want to try the ipk from:
