I used the Mgcamd + Oscam tutorial on this site, works a treat, only down side with it is, clients drop off or disconnect, so I reverted back to old settings, when entitlements are due I will use mgcamd and oscam for 12hrs, usually updates the card.

2012/07/11 16:10:12 B76144F0 c thread B75C1B70 endedTries to connect but then disconnects. Some clients have not connected at all. Can't figure it out as log doesn't say anything apart from the above

Well so far so good. The webinterface is slightly better too. I noticed i couldn't log into my router, maybe this was what was causing the problems in the first place, the router page would not load. I have rebooted the rooter and Oscam, fingers crossed. If this does not work I will probabaly try the Cccam share route. Thanks again fella.

Turner I am using Oscam as server/reader but I'm having client drop out issues now, was considering using cccam to share now. Have you had any issues with Oscam on its own?
-
Update was some of the oscam files were corrupted and needed updating. Hopefully ThatFellow can shed some light on the commands on how he instructed me to update oscam. Now running #7048 version of Oscam. I only use Oscam to read and share, I have a client drop out issue though, would it be recommended that I should use CCCam to share as all clients connect to Oscam via CCCam?

No I can't access it. I did everything in your thread just the restarting bit wont work, comes back saying "Error whilst loading shared libraries. libssl.so.10: can not open shared object file: no such file or directory
-
Tried this command but says no process found
sudo killall -9 oscam

Missed that bit. thanks. Found it, we move on in hope :-)

Ok when you say change old oscam name, how do I locate that Oscam? Is it Oscam.srvid?
-
Finally got a root account, I knew i never set this up when I set up Ubuntu...I am in as root hip hip?
-
Not sure if you read earlier, I was saying because I can't log into WinSCP using root and password, I have logged in using username and password I setup when I setup Ubuntu, unfortunately I do not have access to all the files that way? This is what I can see in WinSCPlinuxsat-support.com/cms/attachment/9648/

Got putty as well, so lets see what happens lol. How do I get the new version of oscam though into the pc? Putty does not allow me to do this? I can do the commands no problems mate
-
I can't access all the files, I can only do this directly on the PC, any suggestions as through WinSCP I can not login using root
-
I have logged into WinSCP using the username and password that I set up when setting up Ubuntu, is this ok? As I don't remember setting up a root user and password.
-
Yes I have used Scp I have it, I am going to give it a go now mate, been a while
-
I was wondering would it be easier to copy the file on to usb and then upload it on ubuntu? Not the best at ftp :-(
-
what does Chmod mean and when would you use this?
-
Ok so if you like myself, have never updated your version of Oscam, hopefully this thread might help, I will try to keep it basic but also easy to follow.
Firstly install the latest version of oscam, the link is below
I downloaded the first file, inside you will find a file called " oscam-svn-i686-redhat-webif-ssl-pcsc-libusb-1.0 "
Drag this file and put it on your desktop.
After this you need to put this file in the binary section, this is the part I am not sure about, so fingers crosses Ten Below can enlighten us.
