I keep hearing people say go the multiroom route. If you ask them for multiroom wouldn`t they give you skyQ which would be useless as you don`t get a 2nd card? or is this totally different? I tried multiroom a few years ago and got caught out as they kept sending requests to the card which didn`t reply as it wasn`t in the box which wasn`t connected to the phoneline. They threatened me with the full monthly sub so I had it taken out.

I use a Gibertini 1.25 on a Supreme Dark Motor. works perfectly up here in Newcastle Upon Tyne UK. Google and you will find where to buy one. Not sure if the sponsor sells them.

The DCC is installed on your pc/laptop. Using DCC you can connect to your receiver and FTP / telnet files to your receiver from your pc/laptop. I assume that`s what you wanted to know as master G points out your not making much sense. It`s not an addon/plugin to go on the receiver.

Yes they updated with the re-pairing. But why was my card not clearing anything even though the entitlements were up to date and everything I tried said the card number was wrong. Even the technician said I did not have a card with that number in my sky account, even though they sold me the card for £25 in December 2015. After I pointed that out he suddenly started with the turn the box off routine. Just like magic everything was back. Is it possible they do not like having BT Sport on their platform? Seems a lot of people having problems concerning sky and BT sport.

Yeah I read your post lacierva. My entitlements are all there, 24th of December. I`ve put it back in the original box and it says it`s the wrong card for that box. Don`t know what`s happened so I have to ring sky.

All sorted after 25 minutes talking to sky. They kept saying it was a BT issue. I pointed out that the sky freeview channels wouldn`t open either so it was down to something they had done. Their solution? Disconnect the box from the power supply then reconnect it and wait for it to boot up (10 mins in my case). put the card back in and go through the channels to see what opens. All subscription channels were back. Is that really the solution or are sky upto something and playing dumb?

Thanx for your help guys once again.

I run a small server and today, even though all the entitlements are are showing the end of December, my BT Sports on red sky card are not clearing.

I put the card(Red Sky 0960) back in the original sky Pace sd box and it says "this is the wrong card for this set top box". Are sky up to something? Is it safe to ring them and get this card paired to the box again? I only have the sky freeview channels and BT Sports on the card.

If I try to update through the plugin itself, I get the message "Mediaportal update failed! Check the update log carefully" I don`t know where the log is. If I try to install the using the ipk of the plugin I get the error message "cannot satisfy the following dependencies : python-js2py" or something like that. But I have installed all the dependencies required. Basically everyway this plugin can be installed/updated I have tried.
