hmmm..i always assumed vu boxes had 2 years warranty, the one i fixed was from our sponser here sadley it was just over 2 years old , so out of warranty...sometimes youd think that these warrantys seem to expire just at the right time...like there was an inbuilt self destruct progra or something built inside the recievers..lol :59:, anyway less then a year old shud have warranty , have you tried vu themselves ?...also can you try to flash it back to stock image ?...theres a stock image posted somewhere on here by master g i think it was...

ok so ignore my post for the capacitor fix as that was for an earlier vu+duo, obviously you have a much newer one as i see from your picture...if its a genuine duo, they have two year warranty so return it for repair or replacemnet , could be other fault,

hi guys - got a vu+ uno remote genuine, why wont it work on my vu+duo genuine ?...does it need a code or something ?

nothing is connected to my samsung smart tv, only the vu+ultimo....hdmi-cec is needed as i cant disable it, because i dont fancy using tv remote and ultimo remote, i just simply put ultimo in standby by using ultmimo remote, which also puts the tv in stanby as well....

hi guys - ive got a vu+ultimo with latest BH image..ive noticed this odd thing thats happened about 3 or 4 times so far, when watching any channel, i noticed that the channel would change suddenly volume would be a lot loder and ill be suddnly watching the making of or behinds the scenes of some new film that is being made, the other day they were showing the making of the new vim diesel film, i remember last time it was some harry potter movie....i cant change any channel the only way to get back to what i was watching is to to cycle through the source button on my samsung tv...have i got something enabled ?..anything to do with anynet HDI-CEC on my tv or box?....

i found vuplus-image-bm750-20120203012328_usb original image, thought id try to flash it, surprisingly it flashed the image and went through the whole process of reading usb, erasinflash....and programming new image...however after removing usb and rebooting box its stuck on starting again...

if its stuck o starting , it wont have connected to my network, hence it wont show up under connected devices, my vu+uno and my my vu+solo are showing up but not this duo :06: i think its safe to say that the duo is fooked, well it goes on ebay soares or repairs will get another duo....anyone selling one ?

Try disconnecting the internal hdd if you have one.. Do you have any other usb devices connected while trying to flash ?

2 versions of BH for duo released past few weeks 2.1.3 v2 & 2.1.4, they recommend you set up swap file as newer images use a lot of ram, I'm using bh 2.1.3 v2
and at times ram usage is quite high, might account for your hdmi problems, try factory resetting box and re flashing then set up a swap file , it might helpcant seem to get it display picture so ii can go in settings and reset to factory settungs...also wont flash on any of the usb ports.....stuck on starting....

hi guys - got a vu+duo genuine , ive had the latest bh image running perfectly, until a few days a go, when all of a sudden i just got the "red light of death", anyway after searching the net , replaced capacitor c807 i think it was, switched on the vu+duo, ooted up and worked fine and after a few minutes screen went blank..no signal hdmi port 2...rebooted box, it just got stuck on starting..rebooted agin worked for a while then went off...no hmi signal,...now at this moment its went past starting and is stuck on "vu+duo" on the display...no hdmi signal on tv...seems its having intermittent problems, i tried to flash it again but as soon as put in the usb stick on any port, it says on display "finished remove usb and reboot" within 3 secs after reading usb....weird///looks like there may be some hardware problems ..any ideas ta

you need a private server mate...rock solid and relaible..none of these ones that advertise on well known sites etc...

just an update - got ot working, had an additional usb stick for picons and epg in one of the rear usb ports, removed that and inserted vu dongle,working fine so far no freezing glitches etc....remformasttted usb stick for picons and epg...mounted it and thats working fine ....all is good now..:thumb::thumb:

well this is an official vu+ product so i cant see why it shudnt work , well it works but not the way i had hoped.

hard wiring would mean drilling through walls...ethernet plugs..option but ive got the dongle so im gonna persist with that for the time being..my wireless router is set on a different channel compared to existing wifis areound me...anyway ive hard wired it and no problems whatsover, use the wifi dongle and glitching and freezing....bah humbug!

well ive got my vu+ usb dongle today set it up , all working but im getting constant glitching and picture freezing on all channels, never had this problem when i was hard wired via ethernet cable..wireless router is in the bedroom below, so its a not a range issue...i will try and going back to ethernet cable plugged in directly as i have a long cable handy and see if proble persists...will report back

yes i was looking at that, think ill order one, hard wiring my ultimo is a little difficult now as i have moved it elsewhere only option was this dongle...cheers will report back once i get it up and running...ta
