p.s. FIXED handling of 'Content-encoding: gzip' headers when downloading XMLTV (13:00 GMT 12/02/22) ... redownload, --force-reinstall

Hello, it would be great to have a repository for new versions, so an opkg update would do the update.

(here are only the start/stop events, but the event contents are in this file)

If there are no events in it, what events should be imported? Where is the mistake ?

As often, you don't read what I wrote ... As I said, the line I wrote here were only the start/stop hours but for each line there are events !!!

So to be clear here is the full content for this tvg_id:

    So there are MISTAKES!

send me for example at least one that does not work sources.xml and channels.xml ... Miracles - do not happen

A very simple example, I have this channel "TV5 Monde Info" in my custom.channels.xml

    <channel id="no_epg_news">4097:0:1:9101:0:0:0:0:0:0:http%3a//example.com</channel> <!-- TV5 Monde Info -->

The id="no_epg_news" can be found in the rytecMisc file (here are only the start/stop events, but the eventcontents are in this file):

    rytecMisc: <channel id="no_epg_news">

    rytecMisc: <programme start="20220128000000 +0000" stop="20220128115900 +0000" channel="no_epg_news">

How is the progress in the fight against EPGImport mod? :grinning squinting face:

Hello, for satellite channels, it's OK. But all my custom channels are empty. Everything is ok with these files (custom.channels.xml and custom.sources.xml) because it works with official version. Corresponding sources are of course selected in the epg sources configuration.

sources.xml is a user concern. I took the latest available rytec from github. But besides rytec - there are others ... And checking whether everything is "alive" is stupid. There is a log for this. Where you can see that this or that source does not work. If the source is not working, it is skipped and the next one is taken

For italian souces xml (not the rytec one), the sources works but it contain errors in the channels files, for a lot of french channels. I don't know where did you find this file, but it has to be simply deleted...

Ok I understood why last time I tested the plugin, everything was blank. You have to definitively delete the italian sources.xml, It contains links to outdated channels.xml.

See official Openpli forum if you want the confirmation about this full of errors file.

What's difficult? Do what you are asked .. why do you argue and enter into a discussion?

redownload, reinstall ... In the version that I posted there is no mixing of spaces and tabs, which is not allowed in Python3 or just replace the file from the attachment in the already installed version

Keep calm please.. reinstall done, nothing new, same error. Why doesn't this package check dependencies before installation?

More like I know. That is why, tired of arguing with the authors of the original project, I redid everything exactly as I see fit. What would work on all images of any platform, regardless of the version of Python ... In fact, only the name remains of the original plugin. The main logic of the code is rewritten by 90-95% ... + added a plugin, integrated with this code, for viewing archives of IPTV broadcasts for more than 30 IPTV providers "for Slavic countries" .... which also works on all images of any platform, regardless of the version of Python :woozy face:

I have free time today! I will retry to use your epgimport mod v1.8.5.1 and will do a feedback.

    I'm using a mod e2m3u2b

Are there others using the original project? OMG! These are BDSM lovers :face with tears of joy:

    oatv team will not investigate

And this problem is observed with the original EPGImport and the original e2m3u2b ??? :winking face:

I think you know the difficulties to have support for out of official feeds plugins. The problems are the same for oe-alliance and openpli distros and teams

It would be great you propose your work to official teams.. it's your choice.

but an e2m3u2b update delete all past events

There is NOT A SINGLE line in the code that would delete events from the EPG ... There is only ONE LINE in the code and this is eEPGCache.importEvents ... I already wrote to you about this

I'm speaking about this problem. I never said it's an e2m3u2b problem, but perhaps an epgimport problem that restart to 0 for the IPTV channels just after a full image installation. Why, I don't know. It's not a major issue but oatv team will not investigate because I'm using a mod e2m3u2b version. I thought you'd have had an idea.

image upgrade from software management available in the oatv image.

My main image is OpenBH 7.0 and I update it regularly via opkg update && opkg upgrade .. No problems with saving EPG history, according to the given settings - no

2 solutions exists, opkg update && opkg upgrade, or full image installation with datas restoration. The epg.dat is proper restored, there's no problem with satellite events (history, curent and future), but for e2m3u2b providers the events are there but an e2m3u2b update delete all past events. The history will be kept until next image upgrade.
