do you guys think this will be available for vu zero?
No, the Zero won't be able to run this for the same reason as the Solo, Duo, Uno and Ultimo won't be able too, the hardware (cpu) does not support OpenGL

Do you have a backup saved on the hdd ?
That does not work with the Vu+ xbmc plugin (well not at the moment anyway).
what do u mean xbmc (kodi) have a standard key that is the normal print screen button ?
mmh maybe it is not standard but in openelec works it fine
This is for the xbmc plugin that is being beta tested with various Vu+ images.
Edit the file /usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/keyboard.xml
and change:
<volume_mute>Mute</volume_mute>
to
<volume_mute>Screenshot</volume_mute>
then you can use mute button to grab a screenshot when using the XBMC plugin. If it opens a context menu then you know it works and you can then select where you want the screenshot files saved.

any problems running these images on vusolo2.i was thinking of space required
If you have a hdd installed in your solo2, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.
The Zero looks good
But to answer your question, yes it will work in the uk
The Solo SE has no internal HDD, officially a single tuner and has been somewhat limited by a 10/100 LAN port instead of a gigabit. It's quirky and expensive for what it is and it has been priced in no mans land.
Suffice to say, unfortunately on this occasion VU don't seem to have got it quite 'right' with this model.
Ultimately it is what it is. I would imagine and suspect a lot of people interested in a VU machine may perhaps give it a miss and head towards the Solo 2 instead.
It depends what you want it for though ?
I think for the money it's not too bad, sure it doesn't have gigabit lan, but 10/100mbit is still quick enough for most people (not everyone has a gigabit router anyway), internal hdd isn't the end of the world as you can connect to a network or usb hdd anyway.
I think the 1.3 dual core cpu, 1gb ram and the pluggable tuner so you can switch between dvb-s/s2,C or T/T2 makes it reasonably good value for money.
The Solo2 is more expensive, and you have fixed sat tuners, so if you wanted to use a C or T/T2 tuner you would have to use usb tuners.
which one do you sugest?
i'm still using noip.com but have changed to 1 of the 3 new dns hosts they have put up today.
yourolddnsaddy.ddns.net seems to be pretty common atm.
I would advise everyone to deleted there old no-ip dns hosts and setup a new one.
MS are monitoring the traffic
Where can we find the right Mgcamd for Prismcube ruby Blackhole ?
Guys, the 1st and sometimes 2nd gen of anything is usually slow and buggy.
Thats a fact of how technology works.
Look at early sat receivers, my first box had 16 channels, no remote control, no internal decoder, the first E1 box's were rubbish, my DM7000 used to crash 4 / 5 times a day, my first E2 box was a dm800pvr, it was slow as hell to boot (around 2 - 2.5 mins), unstable for atleast the first 12 months I had it, with random crashes, and just generally buggy as hell, but over time, E2 became more stable, and the technology has now matured and is stable.
As it is, the Prismcube is cheaper than the early E1 and E2 box's were, and it is much faster than they were too, and more stable.
It's a new concept, it's not a satellite receiver that plays some media files, it is a media center with a twin sat tuner built in.
hello.my prismcube failed the upgrade.now it doesn t xork.only fan turning and the rex led lightened.
any solution for serial port flashing for example?thnk you
Someone on prismcube forum has the same problem, he contacted his dealer and it is being replaced under warranty.
There are some files posted on the prismcube forum, no idea if they work though.
And what part of my answer did you not get that clearly states 'Identical apart from a badge'
The part where you stated AB com got the box's to market quicker than Marusys.
ABcom seem to have got this to the market before Marusys, at the end of the day they are identical apart from a badge
Marusys is the company that makes the Prismcube.
They are being sold as Openbox, AB IPbox, Kasys, but these are just the brand names.
ABcom is just the distributor.
Found these online, Packaged to do a manual install for the Black Hole Prismcube image.
Nice review.
But the vfd on the Duo2 is only 140x32 pixels, not 256x64.
