    Edit the file /usr/share/xbmc/system/keymaps/keyboard.xml
    and change:
    <volume_mute>Mute</volume_mute>
    to
    <volume_mute>Screenshot</volume_mute>

then you can use mute button to grab a screenshot when using the XBMC plugin. If it opens a context menu then you know it works and you can then select where you want the screenshot files saved.

Thanks go to Shiro from BH team

Out of the 2 you asked about, the Duo is the better box.

However both are old box's now and are starting to show there age.

If you only need a cheap single tuner box, then the Vu+ Zero is great value for money (especially compared to the Solo).

The Solo SE has no internal HDD, officially a single tuner and has been somewhat limited by a 10/100 LAN port instead of a gigabit. It's quirky and expensive for what it is and it has been priced in no mans land.

Suffice to say, unfortunately on this occasion VU don't seem to have got it quite 'right' with this model.

Ultimately it is what it is. I would imagine and suspect a lot of people interested in a VU machine may perhaps give it a miss and head towards the Solo 2 instead.

It depends what you want it for though ?

I think for the money it's not too bad, sure it doesn't have gigabit lan, but 10/100mbit is still quick enough for most people (not everyone has a gigabit router anyway), internal hdd isn't the end of the world as you can connect to a network or usb hdd anyway.

I think the 1.3 dual core cpu, 1gb ram and the pluggable tuner so you can switch between dvb-s/s2,C or T/T2 makes it reasonably good value for money.

The Solo2 is more expensive, and you have fixed sat tuners, so if you wanted to use a C or T/T2 tuner you would have to use usb tuners.

Guys, the 1st and sometimes 2nd gen of anything is usually slow and buggy.

Thats a fact of how technology works.

Look at early sat receivers, my first box had 16 channels, no remote control, no internal decoder, the first E1 box's were rubbish, my DM7000 used to crash 4 / 5 times a day, my first E2 box was a dm800pvr, it was slow as hell to boot (around 2 - 2.5 mins), unstable for atleast the first 12 months I had it, with random crashes, and just generally buggy as hell, but over time, E2 became more stable, and the technology has now matured and is stable.

As it is, the Prismcube is cheaper than the early E1 and E2 box's were, and it is much faster than they were too, and more stable.

It's a new concept, it's not a satellite receiver that plays some media files, it is a media center with a twin sat tuner built in.

hello.my prismcube failed the upgrade.now it doesn t xork.only fan turning and the rex led lightened.
any solution for serial port flashing for example?thnk you

Someone on prismcube forum has the same problem, he contacted his dealer and it is being replaced under warranty.

ABcom seem to have got this to the market before Marusys, at the end of the day they are identical apart from a badge

Marusys is the company that makes the Prismcube.

They are being sold as Openbox, AB IPbox, Kasys, but these are just the brand names.

    ABcom is just the distributor.
