    I am having trouble updating or installing latest media portal. I get the following error message
    " no module named argparse"


    I have tried opkg update but no luck


    the image I am using is OE-exp-dm800se-2015-04-15-16-52 . it comes up with alimac on booting

    The tv is a Samsung 9 series.
    I cannot find any standy setting on the tv


    I don't think it is the tv because previous images on the dm800se did not do this with the same tv
    it must be a setting on this particular image that is set differently but I can not find it

    I am having problem with my receiver going to standby . I want to record something overnight .I wake up to find the box is on standby and has only recorded part of the program.


    I have changed menu/setup/system/harddisk/ hard disk setup /hard disk standby after/ to No standby


    where else can I change to keep box on without going to standby mode

    THis is the best image I have tried so far. up till now open pli was what I have been using.
    ON software update everything update fine but after rebooting the box gets stuck in a loop on the open atv and the spinner screen.
    But if you avoid the update its great.. you can install plugins like media portal without trying to add any dependancies ...

    I selected nit scan, and default in and in the menu and in
    setup/system/user interface enabled multi bouquets and multi bouquet epg bouquets selection
    now it works


    I don't know which of these steps fixed the problem but now ok

    I have tried this . Installs butit looks like it is not finding the correct *** channel .
    everything happens too quick. indications is all is done ..
    But not working. its almost like it thinks I have latest list nothing else to add

    Hi,
    Using the ferret backup image open pli 2.1 on the dm800se
    I have installed autobouquet E2 by lraizer (25th august 2103


    I have set local are to London hd and the other seeting in the menu . only selected script check, nit scan and default
    pressing start on a skt working channel gives do you wish to perform nit scan . I press yes to this


    at this point all seems ok but too quickly goes to reloading bouquets etc but has not done anything


    I have added current sat.xml/ scanned and rebooted before doing the above..


    It was ok before ...
    Has something changed or am I doing something wrong

    Hi,
    There are a lot of new images for the dm800se clone box.
    currently I am running the ferret openpli with media portal.


    I was looking for an image that can run the following plugins hopefully without the need for dependancies.. )I always struggle here)


    plugins needed


    media portal
    auto bouquets
    tsmedia
    ts panel
    cross epg
    ipt updater


    Which image would you recommend?


    If someone has a backup image they would like to share even better

    Hi,


    I have media portal working on the dm800se clone 2.10


    I am given the option to update via the web because)e a updated version is available..
    When I accept to update , all looks well and after a reboot it has not worked I get the following error.. How do I fix it


    some plugins are not available
    extentions/mediaportal(bad magic number in /usr/lib/python2.6/htmlparser.pyo)

    Thanks for replying mate . tried both
    unmounting and than mounting seems to work but when you press check get hard drive error drive may be damaged
    But it plays movies that are already there..


    After I have seen them I will try formatting

    The drive has always been in this reciver so was not initialised any where else. It was working fine until a few days ago...
    I have also tried to copy over to the pc but towards the end get no permissions type error


    I have tried to change permissions via dcc connected but does not allow


    I will watch the remaining films and than format hard drive /initialise/ and start again
    I hope when I come to format it allows me to do so.......

    I take it you have had this initialised on a different receiver. Could be a number of things - file format, could be mounting in read only, you might not have permissions to delete on that drive. I once had an issue like this where the group/owner was set differently to wha it needed to be for me to be able to do anything. My simple solution was to copy the contents to my PC, format and initialise the drive in Enigma2, then paste back the contents. This will work, unless there is a physical issue with your drive. There will be other ways to sort this out I would imagine with putty/console commands etc, but if you only have 10 movies then my suggestion won't take forever

    I have a dm800se clone sim 2.10 with pli image
    I have a hard drive with approx. 10 movies...
    When I try to delete the movie I have watched I am not able to do so... This was ok and deleteting a few day but all of a sudden get permission denied message.
    Some times no error message but file is still there. I have tried deleting by


    1... pvr/ the movie I want to delete/ red button/yes/ some times it looks like its working other times message cannot move to trash , error 30
    2. my network
    3. dcc connect... by browing to movie /right click delte etc


    attritues are set to 777
