    Hi,
    Just got f5 and realised that ater pressing menu i do not have youtube etc . Am i looking in the wrong place or is the firmware on the box
    old ie without the plugins


    Menu shows software version as 3601HD_28_02_2013_0b18


    I could and probably will update to latest firmware but really do not need any of the extras. Current image seems stable so may even
    keep it..


    Just wanted informations for curiosity sake

    ok i have dm800se box with open pli 2.1 based image (Aguda)


    I have download these 3 files from the post


    1 ondemand-hd all images.rar
    2 ondemand dependencies
    3 pk python_simpls.raron_2.2.1_misp32.ipk


    urared all


    sent via ftp (dcc connect) usr folder to root
    ipk to tmp
    on demand folder to usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extentions



    than ..... tried both at this stage ..........1 software management/install local/tmp/ok to tick/green to install/ reeboot
    2 instead of doing 1 above at this stage i went to telnet tab and entered opkg install /tmp/*.ipk


    not of the 2 ways worked for me.....

    I have a dreambox 800se to which i have added many plugins either via tspannel or to the temp folder and intalling ipk file or via ftp to plugins /extentions/ rebooting etc



    But for some reason i cannot manage the ondemand plugin and media portal plugin.. I always get errors


    The image is an open pli based image by aguda.......


    Backup OpenPLi-2.1-beta-dm800-20120924.by aguda

  • difference between openbox x5 and f5

    Hi,


    I am looking for a hd box that will support cccam and have decent picture or 28.2 east so a reasonable sat list for this would be good
    I have tried the open box s12 and s 9 in the past.. both are ok


    What is difference between the openbox X5 and F5


    I am assuming they are better than the older s12 and s9 boxes but could be wrong
    I have mentioned the above 2 boxes mainly on price as they around £50 from ebay


    Any advise would be great... Thanks

    just tried on dm800se clone ... works great
    path to install is .......... unrar to desktop
    FTP to usr/lib/enigma2/python/plugins/extentions ............... than reeboot box
    now menu and it should be there

    i am using an open pli image on dm800se 2.10
    when i try to scan i get dvdsnoop not found... i have restarted the box by turning poer off etc
    but still get same message...


    can i manually ftp file and if so where do i get it.. Thanks

    holding blue either quick press or long press brings up ccam info, cross epg, gmail reader, graphic multi epg and pp pannel but not the pluin i istalled
    I have tried this with the red,green and yellow buttons just to make sure... no luck


    i cannot find it by pressing menu button or the menu/plugins button


    any ideas

  • Need help installing plugin

    I have dm800se clone using pli 2.1 image


    This is my precudure. what am i doing wrong?


    1.. download file to desktop and extract using winrar
    2. i now have an extracted .ipk file ....... in this example i will try with enigma2-plugin-extensions-beeg_v0.1_all.ipk


    3.. using dcc connect navigate to var/volatile/tmp
    and add the file to this folder ... all good so far


    4... now without reebooting or shutting the dcc window i use the remote for dm800se
    menu/plugins/software management/install local extention/ memory /tmp / install extentions/ here i can see the plugin/ i click ok on this . this puts a green tick to the left of the plugin/


    I than click the green key to install .................... i get something like preparing please wait etc than message installed updated or removed 1 package with 0 errors


    I clik ok and exit out to restart menu/ than full restart/



    5 when box restarts i go to menu/plusins but nothing there

    it looks as if i was entering the numbers at the wrong time.
    i did try 8989 but after pressing menu. it looks like i needed to be on accesories. Thanks


    To be honest just as i read your post and went to the box to try this all channels started working so i did not play too much.
    I will give him the box back.


    In the server menu it seems as you can enter any c line or n line . is this correct?


    I thought this was a locked down reciver and you could only get channels buy paying the starview team.
    It looks as if it works with any c or n line . you can enter this buy going to server settings.


    Am i correct?

    Hi,
    I hope this is the corect section for posting.
    A friend gave me this box to have a look. according to him it was working fine untill his kid managed to alter something
    I cannot find anything that suggests there is a place to add a c line etc...

    i cannot find a way to unlock the secrect menu. i have tried menu/2004 etc from internet searches etc but no joy

    The only thing i noticed was the network was off so managed to turn this on and set to auto(DHCP i assume)
    But still no good

    He said all subscribed channels were also working. He has contacted the guy he got the box from(free) and according to him all should still work.

    Any ideas?
