In the most cases SanDisk is pretty safe(est) choice as many bootloaders (which have limited capacity to recognize all the sticks) are, sort of, made to be friendly with them. Once the kernel is loaded, almost all the sticks are more or less fine (usability, not reliability).

Huh, I think it is somewhere here on the forum, maybe for osmio4k or sf8008? (if not then look up the home forum for pure2), in general, it is rather simple until you get into more demanding options (which are not really avaiable for viperk4k except changing the SSID and PWD) just start the plugin from PurE2 plugins in the menu and enable it (Activate AP = yes).

Ah well, the process of continuation from a previous point (abandon watching a VOD and then retry later) is a bit tricky as it depends on the type of the stream, quality and drivers. If all the planets are aligned and there is a car passing by with broken headlight, all is destined to work ok :)
-
Just to be clear, with Kodi and sort off no-no add-ons, there is not much we can do. Sometimes they work ok, sometimes not; it is up to Kodi, well, "plug in" maintaner, to ensure it works ok.

Yes, viper4k is a very nice box, WiFi AP works, as well as many other stuff like olm-fnc, look*-fnc etc, and PQ is quite ok. Yhere seems to be some some strange sidebanding in 4k mode with some Tv sets, but even that could be bypassed with some careful settings (play with edid, HD modes, etc, there is no singular recipe).

Nah ja. Please do try to re-flash the image. It seems to work just fine, actually a bit better than before.
-
Strange as viper4k is clone brother (or vice versa) of sf8008, ustym4kpro, etc, which I do use on a daily basis wo problems.

Yes, you'll be asked to resotre settings (yes/no) and after that all the plugins (and choose which ones you might want to ommit). CH list and other "sensitive" stuff is restored as well.

Yah, this is sort of standard SNAFU position. In general, we do have the very latest ffmpeg and the libs (v65), optimized for a box in the feeds, so, installing another ffmpeg usually results in an inferior or older version (generic ARM version not using all the capabilities of the CPU/SoC).
Kodi is a special story (I think we have to switch to static ffmpeg build with Kodi), as at one point there could be 3 ffmpeg versions installed and it is a mess for some boxes but some work just fine, actually very fine :)
I know, the above is not helpful, probably even introduces more confusuion, but in short; we'll try to fix it. Sometimes it is strange that everything is ok on our reference/dev box, but it fails on others. I guess, the price of living on the bleeding edge:) -
Great to hear .atari. that you have the box in a decent shape. For H9, I guess, gorski is more capable to give you a sound advice. Apropos memory/RAM greediness, most of the boxes are rather happy with what they've got, BUT, sometimes, when you do a lot of testing and try a bunch of plugins one after another, there could be a memory management problem that is not usually experienced in a normal operations mode.

Great and thx for the effort! I'm happy that we have this sorted out up to the point:) And really glad that KiddaC skins work nicely with pure2!
-
I really do doubt that your skin is the issue, ok some screens in Pure2 are sorta hard coded (but could be bypassed), like pManger, some plugins... But for BSOD, I think there is no reason.

Although unfamiliar with yere LNB, I do have single high gain Invarcom on H100 and it seems to rather nicely for the last few years. Not sure this helps, alas, just in case.

To be on the safe side, FTP satelites.xml (world wide or NA centric), with e2 process killed (telnet to the box, then type "init 4" and reboot)
After that, since you are on Ku band, which H7 can handle, even blindscan should work. -
On a Stab H100 motor, default simple settings work just fine. You could try to low down default step size from 0.360 to some lesser value, but I do not find a must on the H7.
In case you are EU based pls try with some motor ch settings from the feeds (morpheus, ciefp, etc) -
After reflashing dm800se and after using flashexpander or some other means (like written many times) start a script that installs the rest of packages like openwebif.
There is no simple way to make boxes with 64MB of flash to work like others, at least with our image. -

Mmmm, still no sign of any USB DVB device. This is kinda strange as I did have 2-3 2832 USB devices and they work fine (except when overheated).
Try to install :
opkg install enigma2-plugin-drivers-dvb-usb-rtl2832
and reboot
then again, there are some variants of the device that are not supported. -
It seems there is no mention of any USB DVB device at all. Which is strange.
