Some beams from Astra2 will need a big dish in Malta _
Astra 2 @28.2e is very low on the horizon ! Move dish inclination down when adjusting left from Astra1 ! i am always surprised how low it is .
Can you login as root and perform tests Pos ?
ping ect ?
check network interface ?
Did you have a dodgy peer hammering you perhaps ?
did it have ip clash with router ?
do you use static ip or dhcp in network interface ?
Use your meter and lock onto a satellite Gotv ! Then connect up your box and perform a channel scan to Establish what satellite you are looking at !
Make this your reference point ! So for example if you have locked onto hotbird 13e and you want to get to astra you will will have to move the dish very slightly to the Left and down abit !
But you need a point of reference to work from !
I know its a long shot but can you see the tv screen from the dish site ?
I am sure there is an enigma2 phone/stb signalmeter dish finder Plugin/App i have seen mentioned _ Perhaps someone knows exactly .
any decent dish will have the degrees stamped on the side of the adjusting bracket
indeed Mulitipack i concur completely, However that is subject to the dish mounting being exactly plumb to start with ¬
plenty of foreign Providers that have HD packages ¬ I have a spanish subscription and use my Enigma2 box to watch HD content !

No more nails and cillit bang to clean it...:40_002::40_002:
LOL _ No more Nails Everytime ¬
If you cant wait go down B&Q for a bracket or call up an aerial company and collect 1 ¬
You can always return the one you ordered ?
:rikjaard1:
You will need to put a N:line into MG cam cfg >>>>
Not sure which one though
VU+ are tries and tested and can do everything you want _
You cant use enigma2 box for bein sport though as the cards are paired so you need original box for that ¬
Bigdes _
Cron is for daily tasks and it seems your install has a job for restart daily _
It perfectly normal _ Though you dont have to restart daily you can set it weekly or never if you maintain it yourself.
Below taken from the cron wiki.
QuoteThe software utility Cron is a time-based job scheduler in Unix-like computer operating systems. People who set up and maintain software environments use cron to schedule jobs (commands or shell scripts) to run periodically at fixed times, dates, or intervals. It typically automates system maintenance or administration—though its general-purpose nature makes it useful for things like connecting to the Internet and downloading email at regular intervals.[1] The name cron comes from the Greek word for time, χρόνος chronos

Hi this is the tutorial I followed. So it's no point repeating it?
Indeed _ You just need to get your config correct and you'll be up and Running.
Have a look at working configs already posted in OScam section _
Can anyone point me to sbox tutorials or have knowledge of how to add Remote reader Please :thumb:
Perhaps i'm mistaken and its not used like that _ seems similar to OScam

im a bit confused about lnbs, i,m buying a motorised dish, a technomate TM80, on the options i can upgrade to a invert black premium single or twin or quad also ultra single twin and quad, whats the difference do they give the dish a better sweet spot? i don't mind paying extra for something better i just don't know what it is i,m paying for.
thanks
kev
The ultra claims to have additional 5db of gain at some point across the spectrum compared to the Premium _

I have only ever noticed a difference in very extreme situations like when i used to try and get Viasat from sirius on a 1.5m _ The ultra made a marginal improvement on picture stability ! :85:
Why. Are they that bad.
my understanding is something to do with SH4 chips instead of Broadcom _ And the drivers available for them _
My belief is that their similar to the ill fated TM800 _
Perhaps thats why they have two versions of the operating system !
Thats my tattersbury take on it cos i know its not a real answer if someone just says thay rubbish _
i'm sure someone with a more technical knowledge might point out the errors of my thinking <
:rikjaard2:
Yeah your gonna need two dishes ¬ Set your motorised one up down the garden like stevejo suggests _ Hidden and easy to maintain:69:
Get something else and don't burden yourself with the displeasure of owning one ¬
Many suggestions on here re the board sponsor ?:bravo:
