menu-setup/service searching/autobouquetsmaker/configure/setup mode/schedule scan : NO , then a full reboot of system, done.
Cant really tell you whats going on there as it could need an update boot ,etc..
¿ have you switched off the box again ?? try it..

i havent got this but I presume the .xml is an update of streams ,etc..
so...go to usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions look for the plugin folder ,open it and replace the xml file..

as a long shot sounds like those last added plugins are under a different code...
python ,the original ,python 2.6 , python 2.7..
before starting from scratch again ¿ have you tried making a backup of the backup before the added/installed plugins,picons etc you put on afterwards??
If not ,then reflash with the backup,, try making a backup,then add 1 plugin ,then again try making another backup..and so on...
I know how many hours are spent at this but to get to the "root" of the problem( excuse the pun) so you and others can benefit from this experience...
blue-blue and you have the option of "BH speedup" meaning you can turn off all plugins that you dont use/need..
remember to full reboot the stb after changes..
otherwise a possible alternative is something like this:

FTP the ipk to tmp or volatile/temp folder,depending on which image you use..
then on BH press green-yellow to manaually install
on vix , setup vix manually install
then FULL reboot of system and it should be good
hmmm..... yeah, i had already read all them pages and am hearing the words vix, ipk, vti, ect.... so i am lost :baffle:
any further help would be greatly appreciated

vix,vti are team images , you are using openpli so you should have no problem to install the plugin..

wherever you have DCC folder ,,look for the DCC.ini , open it with notepad++ and you will see whatever last pass was used..
if this fails ,, then a possible reflash of image might be needed,,
this time make sure you make a backup or take a copy of all your personal configs ,etc...

Its always a good idea to have a backup of working image and also to have your personal configs backup saved for situations like this..
its a pity you didn´t give any information about what image ,etc you are using...
user : root
pass : vuplus, dreambox , or linuxsat,
as already mentioned,, use the image name...
Do yourself a favour ,,update your signature with stb(s) + image(s)
