Not sure about skin changing , in fact never even gave it a thought..

swapfile will create more space for your plugins,populated epg picons folder ,etc on media/usb so as to ease up the strain on the box itself..

Sounds like you haven´t entered through webif....
try this method :
type: IP_of_BOX/lcd4linux in your web browser and once it opens click on the icon then you will see the options on your left side: weather.
from webif you can configure all perimeters as you like..
remember to save afterwards...

swapfile is a possible solution although I prefer the more recent pluginskinmover,
basically what they do is "extend" your flash drive onto a USB stick so you can add as many plugins as you wish..
it also helps if you keep your EPG updated to the USB too.. -

stil no idea how to change the icons at the bottom, only use afew apps, kodi, plex, youtube & netflix would be nice to have these at the bottom. yeah tried google of course, and youtube. i use the skin which came with it, didnt know you can put others on, again not much info about how/if you can do this either.
As Fboxes are closed source I suggest you email ferguson directly and be ready for a reply in Polish ..
