Hi Honcho ref pcz patches. On Wetek forum one user his username is pcz made a series of patches for Mnigma, they include decent keymap for openelec rc, sound fix for kodi, an ipk to install kodi 16 on Mnigma images and a launcher for it as well. Also another kodi 16 version with tvheadend included ( this one I found a little slow but very usable ). The advantage of installing kodi 16 and launcher is that you have 2 seperate kodi installs, the standard kodi 16 and the one using launcher which enables you to have E2 running and recording in the background while you are watching kodi. All the info is in the official Mnigma part of the Wetek forum. He called it KodiwE2 and it also launches very quickly, the KodiwE2 I use for playback of recordings as well as you can ff rew with no issues, I then have a seperate fully set up kodi with the addons I use, all of this is in one sdcard.

cherrs for input on E2 , whats pcz patches ?
pbnigma has a nice skin but i would want to edit it at some point to
so it matches my kodiskin been playing about with video splashes but have had no joy with libreelec
can chnage the standard splash though a testing tonight to bypass the read only error when trying to replace it :)

Which skin you using at moment for kodi is it Aeon Nox? I like that skin and also have been using Divergence skin which is a decent match for the older powerboard skin prior to estuary. Have not seen a close match for Nox in the skin feeds but I am sure if there is one available you will find it

Not sure on standard Wetek remote,I have 2 Openelec remotes and E2 remote. Mnigma and Pbnigma seem to have the most development going on so may be the way to go for backup. Pbnigma would get my vote for you to do a backup of Honcho, as I currently have Mnigma on one card with all pcz patches installed and pcz is working on a fully configured Mnigma backup already if I am reading the Wetek forum correctly

What I mean is they won't see 109 euro plus postage from me for another single tuner stb which offers a bit faster processor and larger rom as I have no confidence in the ability of Wetek to provide the drivers and fix any issues that arise once you have purchased it. The track record so far does not fill me with confidence with many of the issues people have had since day one still not fixed. Dvb-s users like me seem to be far better off than the people who use Dvb-c/t tuners. If I did not already own a Play1 and was in the market for a reasonably priced stb I would possibly buy the play2, but I cannot justify paying an extra 100+ euros for a bit of extra processing power and memory. I think I will stick with my buggy Play 1 until the Play 2s comes on the scene at least I know how to deal with the Play 1 and its issues

Won't be ordering one of these at present as I cannot see any significant improvements in this model. Tuner options seem to be as bad if not worse than the play1 and I have been most disappointed with Weteks current android offering, especially the theatre app with its poor epg and next to useless channel editor. The insistence of blaming each and every fault on driver issues by the mods on wetek forum whichever o/s you use on the current version of the play is hardly encouraging when the new models are also to be based on amlogic chips, BTW Wetek having half decent support is no substitute for a proper working o/s. I want to use it not keep fixing it

Let me try this again with clean install and I will select Oscam Emu during wizard phase and Will confirm u if it works.

I tried and install in first wizard but even unable to select any cam in cam manager. :(

Can't think of anything else I may have missed, I have to do similar to you and install different oscam, not for emu in my case but for pcsc reader and this way is only way I can get it working. Just saw you have it working with Atv now as well as Pbnigma will have to see if the next release of Mnigma changes things

I found if I do not install oscam during set up any attempt to install oscam later fails , now I make sure I install oscam at set up as I think it creates the correct scripts and folders for all oscam installations later on. I would try fresh set up install oscam when asked and then once you have got basic setup done you can then uninstall it and install the one you choose.

During the initial installation of mnigma when asked in set up wizard did you install either oscam or oscam-emu ( oscam-emu is available by right pressing on remote when asked if you want to install oscam) ?

As far as I know the only ones available are included in the image, as you say there is not one with emu as yet. The only hope you have is if someone on here knows of one from another image that may work or is willing to compile one for you. I don't have the knowledge to do that, sorry I can't help you but if anyone can they will be on this forum somewhere. I would think the reason you have not had many replies yet is because there is nothing available yet for this image as it is so new

I agree have been running Atv since the end of april with no issues whatsoever. The only problem I had was on initial installation no softcams in feeds which you can fix by pressing menu button/ plugins then press menu button again and enter http://secret.mynonpublic.com/wetek in the last item at bottom of list ( forget what it is called ) save using green button and then softcams are available in the usual place via download in plugins menu.

Update will soon be available via usb, the freesat website should have a channel list available soon. The only channel lists on the freesat site at present are for the v8 golden and v8 super but apparently one for the v8 pro is nearly complete. Alternatively you can dump your current user.db file on usb and upload to your pc then edit with dbeditor 2.2 before loading back onto your box. Have not seen a more recent channel list anywhere else for the v8 pro last one I saw was first post in this thread.

If you have changed screen resolution in android or altered Hdmi cec settings in android it interferes with bootloader. Have a read of thread in this forum http://linuxsat-support.com/sh…te-not-booting-to-Enigma2 applies to any os on sdcard not just enigma2. If you update bootloader using the bootloader fix files, unzip the 7 zip file, there are 2 different zip files inside and put the bootloader zip file you want to try on usb and flash using upgrade via local file in android

If you are running latest wetek android on nand it should ask you to press power to boot from card, just a quick press when message appears for first time. For some reason message appears on mine twice, as long as I press power on the first message and ignore the second it will boot from sdcard. Earlier android versions would boot by default from sdcard if one was in place and sd card had to be removed to boot to android on nand.

I have same files as you with one exception I have no information in dvbapi file, I remember reading some time back the dvbapi file has to be empty on HDMU images. That was on a different box to Wetek so I may well be incorrect, all I can say for sure is that I have nothing in dvbapi config file and mine works ok, If you try deleting contents of Oscam dvbapi and then restart oscam it may do the trick

No trouble at all I was in same position as you are now when I got my first box a few months ago and found it all very confusing and a bit disconcerting. I think your idea to use your other box as test machine is a good idea that is what I did until I was confident with all the basics. Only mess with sdcards and you can't really break it, if you mess up you just reformat the card rewrite image and start over, best way to learn is read on this forum and then try putting it in to practice then learn by your mistakes. People on here helped me immensely when I did get stuck no matter how silly some of my mistakes were.
