Sounds sensible fella, these Weteks aint just plug and play everything requires a bit of messing with. One bit of advice don't install some monster build like the beast on it as it isn't up to that. Stick with your own fav addons or a light build it will make your experience so much better. If at some stage in the future you feel adventurous and have plenty of time to spare read through this forum and the official wetek one and have another go. As long as you are using sdcards to install to you can't really break your Wetek. Somewhere on one of the forums is the answer to getting dual boot working for you

Agree with that Honcho I use 1.17 with 1.16 bootloader. I use android 1.17 as there were some minor improvements in kernel and android settings but I prefer the 1.16 bootloader so flash that after installing the os

Is your card recognised from inside android? What version of android are you running? If screen resolution is changed in android or hdmi cec is enabled it corrupts bootloader stopping dual boot. If you have a usb stick you can update the bootloader from one of these. If using a usb stick only update the bootloader do not try and reinstall the complete OS as that can cause some real unusual issues. If all else fails download the android 1.17 clean install zip from here https://mega.nz/#!b4tWmIrS!cyV…PrLRAtGfvjTbFcu2WShd-AVmk unzip it and copy the 4 files to your fat 32 sdcard and update android using toothpick method, you will end up with factory fresh android installation. any modifications or apps you have already installed will be lost so be aware . Finally if your card or usb stick is 32gb or larger it will not play fair and refuse to boot.

I gave up with wifi on my Openbox, just to get it to connect in the first place I had to change my router password to all lowercase letters with no spaces or hyphens or else it was not recognised, like you I had to reboot a couple of times just to get an Ap in the first place, then it failed as there was a hyphen and a capital letter in passphrase, changed password and went through whole process again and finally working .But every time I rebooted had to re-enter details, ended up using homeplugs. Your issue does sound more hardware related than mine as you have had to keep resetting.

With the play 2 out now I reckon any chance of new drivers for the play 1 has gone mate. Wetek dropped the play 1 the second the play 2 appeared, looking at the issues with the play 2 on the wetek forum it seems to be a buggy piece of sh**e with useless drivers already. As the E2 developers seemed to have got sod all help from wetek or amlogic on the play 1 what incentive is there to develop for the play 2 when any mention of E2 on the wetek forum gets the response that wetek was designed for android and not E2 which is experimental. Designed for android my arse, wetek tv app is horrendous, overly awkward to get a channel list in the right order, epg probably a downgrade from a £30 openbox, lipsync issues. Issues with Netflix and other apps, Wetek had a good idea and are ruining it by sticking with Amlogic and their useless driver support. If their android tv side was usable in the modern day eg seven day epg, app similar to autobouquets and the like then there probably would not be so much demand for E2.

I have it installed in Libreelec 7.02 running kodi 16.1, I use version 1,0,9 from the superrepo repository. If you google playlist loader kodi 16 the 4th result on page is a video which you can watch which is for helix version, just install from jarvis section instead of helix and reboot after installing repo from zip and reboot after installing playlist loader itself. If you do that you should have no problems it can be found under video addons once installed

You need Libreelec already installed on your sdcard and then install the tar via ftp using filezilla or similar program to storage/backup folder , dont unzip the tar just transfer to the folder I mentioned and then on reboot of wetek it will find tar and install it. There are probably other ways to do it but I find this the easiest

Ftp username from memory is root password is libreelec if you have trouble connecting try using putty to connect first and then try again. One bit I had wrong in first part of post updates install on reboot, back up files like this can be installed from the back up manager in libreelec settings

Are you asking how to install multiple urls for Iptv/ m3u lists or something else like individual addons.

Multiple instances of iptv simple client for example

A lot of people have tried to use usb tuners with the play 1 with openelec, as far as I know even though they are supported in that version of openelec they do not work on the wetek as the kernel is too old. Some have tried with the play 2 and are facing similar problems which seem to relate to driver issues. There are a few threads on the official wetek forum and it seems as though usb tuner support is being requested more lately. May be worth having a look there and see if anything is being worked on, best chance would probably be on the same forum with the development builds for Libreelec. Stock response from Wetek seems to be that they don't support anything much at all

I put a shout out for any info on the original remote being used with Mnigma on that other forum Honcho will give you a shout if anything really useful turns up.

Edit one of the people responded he is using the same version of Mnigma I use from 14/05/2016 he has sent a screenshot of his set up for remote frpm webif of mnigma the screenshot is in russian I believe but comparing with mine in english it explains things link is here

Haven't got a Wetek original rc anymore I use either E2 remote or Openelec. I think there was something in the Mnigma topic on Wetek official forum about the rc not working since febuary release, pages 9 and 10 of the mnigma topic have some info regarding use of the original rc, some people are still using it by enabling neutrino style zap controlling which enables them to navigate through bouquets etc

Would not think it was possible I was looking earlier and it isn't detected let alone recognised in powerboard device manager or dream explorer. I wonder if the card is only looked for at initial boot and if not found or blank it is then disregarded.

Which file are you using is it just the bootloader for 1.16 or the complete 1.16 android install. I used just the bootloader from here http://linuxsat-support.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=56862&d=1462647190 unzip file, open folder and select the bootloader you want then copy it to a fat 32 formatted card or usb and with card/usb inserted in Wetek boot into android. Once booted go to weupdate and set route to file on stick I ticked the 2 options to clear cache etc and then flashed the file. Alternatively download android 1.17 from wetek forum unzip and copy 4 files to fat 32 sdcard only, DO NOT use a usb stick if you decide to try this method , insert card and boot to recovery by pressing pin in reset button underneath wetek then clear cache etc and flash the new 1.17 os to Wetek. If your wetek is like one of mine the second method will work for a short time then fail again, it does not matter which file or update I use it will not stay working. The only fix for mine is flashing the 1.16 loader, bear in mind anytime you flash the nand on the wetek there is a small chance of bricking your box. Mine has been reflashed with every image available and has not bricked yet but better you know and appreciate it can go wrong

I am pretty sure the Wetek forum states that the Play1 and Play2 tuners are different and can not be swapped between boxes. EDIT Just read one post on that forum where one guy received a play 2 with a broken dvbs2 tuner and tried the tuner from his play1 in the play2 and it worked but in single tuner mode only.

http://linuxsat-support.com/sh…te-not-booting-to-Enigma2 Read this thread, dual boot works fine for 90% or more of users however a small minority have the same problem as you. If you change hdmi or cec settings in android using 1.17 it can fail to boot sdcard. Even if I do not change anything in settings one of my Weteks will not boot an sdcard unless I install the old 1.16 bootloader, my second wetek works fine using the 1.17 bootloader. I have tried every build of 1.17 on my problem wetek and it still will not boot from sdcard unless I use the 1.16 loader
