Every image you install you will have to ftp your config files for oscam to the relevant folders for that image once you have image up and running can also done via webif. Have a look through the Wetek section of this forum for Wetek Oscam Files Path will tell you where the files can be found in your image. Once you have written an image to card and inserted in wetek and booted up you will go through a basic set up wizard which sets up things like video output, language and network set etc. Then you can play around with autobouquets maker or channel lists and the rest of it.
Once oscam is installed and you have started cam you can access it via webif or filezilla to edit config files. All my sdcards are now just plug and play as once you have done all the set up the files are saved on the sdcard and remain there until you wipe card. I would have a read of the posts regarding Files path I mentioned earlier as it would be useful to have a back up of your configs just in case your image develops a problem and needs to be reinstalled.

If I were you I would keep Openelec on nand it is the best kodi experience of all images. Buy a couple of class 10 sd cards and use those for experimenting with images, you can experiment all you like with sd cards and not brick your box. The only sd card install I am wary of using is the HDMU image which is overclocked and makes the wetek run far too hot for my liking. I keep copies of my oscam config files on my pc and use filezilla to copy them to the relevant locations on any image I use, no chance of messing cam configs up that way. If you intend to use Kodi on the Enigma side of things Pbnigma latest image uses Kodi 17 and Mnigma latest image uses Kodi 16.1, Both the latest images are using estuary skin so the look and feel are very similar

All down to personal preference what I like may not suit you, both images have similar performance. I have 2 weteks one has Openatv on nand . The other has Openelec on nand and I have sd cards with Pbnigma, Mnigma, Openpli and HDMU images on them and swap between them. The only OS I have tried and totally ruled out is Android ( too much memory usage for my liking ) and Wetek theatre requires a lot more patience than I possess to sort channels. I would try both if I were you, only takes 20 minutes or so to wipe an sdcard and set up again

Tried this image did not care for it at first, as mentioned above no autobouquet maker in feeds and openelec remote would not function amongst other more minor issues. Have just tried newer version and openelec remote is now working, kodi Isengard is now installed, and I have Autobouquets maker ipk downloaded from this forum installed and working well. This is the fastest E2 image I have used so far and one of the first I have tried where ff and rewind works when playing back recordings. Picture quality is good and image is very responsive, Wetek runs hotter than normal probably down to overclocking included in this image. Pbnigma and Atv images run cooler but are not as fast through the menus, The version of kodi installed says it is Pbnigma based and I have had a few freezes and crashes when using it, hopefully Jarvis may be included instead and solve that issue someday. I am quite impressed by the improvement in this image, inside a week a lot of my original issues have been sorted so well done to the developers and please keep working on it.

Start Kodi now appears in menu and when pressed opens popup with message kodi installed true but then fails to boot into kodi and returns to HDMU splash screen. Any ideas on how to make this work?

In filezilla put ip of your wetek username=root leave password blank. Which atv image did you install Stu78 was it nand or sdcard and what date is image? Most atv images have oscam in feeds already some don't depending on date of image.

    thanks for your reply,
i have tried two ways via sdcard 4gb sandisk also sandisk ultra 64 gb, and also copied image to sdcard via win32diskimager, i formatted the 4gb card fat32, i have tried openatv, pbnigma no success

If you are trying to run from sd card the way you describe is correct format card to fat 32 and burn image file to sdcard using win32diskimager no need to press reset button, just insert card and boot . If you are trying to install internally to nand, card is again formatted fat 32 but when you extract the zip file for nand install on your pc you should see 4 files which you copy to sdcard either copy and paste or drag and drop. Once 4 files have been copied to sd insert card in Wetek press reset button connect power and keep button pressed till android man appears then release and wait for process to finish. If you are running android 1,17 on your wetek the dual boot does not always work and will not recognise an sdcard and only boots to android which I suspect has happened to you. Best way to fix is to visit wetek forum and download android 1.17 extract zip file to your pc and then copy 4 files to sdcard and boot with reset button pressed which will clean install android and hopefully fix the non booting to sdcard problem.

Are you trying to install to internal storage or run an image from sdcard as they are totally different methods and images. A link to one you particularly like would be a help and also a description of exactly what you have tried so far, for example what size sdcard are you using and how have you formatted it, what method have you used to copy image to card and so on.

Download and install Filezilla it is free. Open filezilla enter your ip of wetek and username and password. For pbnigma /powerboard image username=root password=powerboard. Once connected files on your pc appear in left hand window, files on wetek appear in right window. Find file you wish to edit and that is it really. I keep copies on my pc of oscam config files and transfer them to the folder on the wetek where oscam-config files are kept. Some versions of oscam do not automatically create a folder and you can create one yourself by right click in etc/tuxbox and make new folder called oscam_config then put your config files inside. You can find files on this forum for oscam config and edit to suit your details before copying them over. If you google search how to use filezilla ftp there are some videos on you tube

On wetek using pbnigma 5.3 I had similar problem and had to ftp the files using filezilla to etc/tuxbox/config-oscam as when trying to save files using web interface they would not save and survive reboot. Since using filezilla route everything has been ok

Works well on Wetek play running Openatv 5.3, crashes when opening media player from plugins menu but same app opens fine when pressing pvr button on E2 remote.

http://www.wetekforums.com/v/i…wto-unbrick-wetek-play/p1 Have just had to unbrick mine using this method used this file

https://mega.nz/#!SEh32Sxb!kkN…d9sreXk4z3ePNZWS2aIBZYvaI I used this file which got me to recovery and was able to clear cache userdata etc but would not let me update using the enclosed zip, so went through clear cache again and was then able to turn off insert sd card with clean install files I posted earlier and then it let me clean install. Last time I try a wizard on this box will stick to installing individual addons

I like libreelec use it on my pi and have your backup on sdcard with Wetek. I find it difficult to set up and keep running well, compared to E2 anyhow. It is best kodi user experience imho, find kodi sluggish but improving gradually on E2 which is still far better than android. I have ditched android completely on both wetek's wife is happiest using Atv 5.3 which works well for tv watching but kodi experience lets it down a little. Also like Pli image from 6/3/2016 as that works well including recording and timeshift but no kodi. If there is an image out there that can combine good kodi experience with the easy tv experience of atv or pli that would be my ideal. If anyone ever does a complete guide to Libreelec set up, and a guide to how to keep it up to date ie epg and the like that would be of interest. I seem to get a mental block at some stage during the setup no matter how many times I do it.
