Dreambox 900 has 2 identical boots . In first boot it verifies the motherboard/hardware and in 2nd boot it operates the enigma . Now it should be clear to you why its saying in putty " 2nd boot fail". Its not a hardware issue its just due to its corrupt enigma.

You dont need to attach /install fan etc to push it to load .

Try.

. Press ctrl_C during boot and see

. Remove all sat/hdmi cables and then try to boot

. Remove front panel and power on the box , Connect hdmi cable and see if it show something over LED tv .

. Try usb boot to recover box .

Last line shows its boot loader corrupt.

Number of methods already shared in this board . You have to search it .

I had tested this image through gpt plugin and my box bootloader is #117 . It was working seamlessly . I had only one issue with it . It was not friendly with plugin 'Multistalker pro' and torrent plugin 'Transmission'. Where as OpenAtv and Openbh are perfect with both plugins.

If you are using multiboot . Install gpt plugin in flash image . than install it through flash image .Although after that you cant install number of py3 plugins /addons as you can install in OpenAtv . But its not that bad try to learn an extra feature of it .

Yes this is the exact method . he should fallow this procedure .

From previous posts, I think , its just DB9 connectors on both end, So, RJ12 on one end and DB9 on Box side.

Depends how u see it . Obviously DB9 can also work. If u have this cable supplied with box in some models because it has different connection . Johnny has clearly mentioned and draw the pics in his post.
