So far the images contain WLAN drivers but lack a convenient way to enable them. I just found an old plugin that provides this:

Systemoptions.zip

To install the plugin, unpack the zip-file. You will get a directory Systemoptions. Use FTP to copy this directory and everything in it to the directory /usr/lib/enigma2/Python/Plugins/Extensions. After that, restart Enigma2. In Menu->Setup you should now have an extra option System options, and in Menu -> Plugins a plugin with the same name.
