    thanks caz, i have gone back to when i 1st did the server to versions i know was working but all are still chucking the error/warning up all i have done last few days was add 2 more shares thats it all was fine but im going through them adding them back 1 by 1 and seeing what one is causing the issue because when i limit it down to my own card its ok added another just now and all seems fine still so ill keep doing it as im all out of ideas, but what it looks like to me is shares kick in and my reader stops and ecm shoot through the roof and oscam gets all mixed up on what to do for the best :(

    im not using any cacheEX now i have just installed oscam from a fresh install of ubuntu server and its still constantly doing it now :(

    iv googled this error and its all in diff language and its only just started to come about, goin to re build the server tomorrow and use a older version of oscam

    if a user already shares with someone and then add them as a cacheEX aswel will this cause a loopback??


    because it does so if you say have group of readers 1 2 3 4 5 then the user for the reader you add them to 1 2 3 4 5


    so
    reader group 1 = user 2 3 4 5
    reader group 2 = user 1 3 4 5


    if its not like that for normal share you get a loop back to there own server and causing high ecm


    so for cacheEX user
    user 50 (is share reader1)
    cacheEX reader
    reader 2 3 4 5


    this them wont cause a loopback to someone you share with already (so i think)


    so all your normal users will be 1 2 3 4 5 50
    your share users will be 1 3 4 5 50 (not in there own group)



    it is all very confusing bt has anyone else thought of this as all this is to prevent load on yours and others server but if your sticking them in all the same groups if you share and share cacheEX with a same person???


    in theroy you might be best sharing cacheEX with someone thats not already sharing with you


    i also posted a while back about setting up a vps for cacheEX only, who ever joins it sets theres to cacheEX-3 vps gets all cache and all users get in (theory a 1 stop shop for cache)

    From my experiance of trying this a few times before and made a few mistakes i hammered other peoples cards (not knowing i was) so the settings have to be spot on if you have shares, dont get me wrong the cache was at 60-70% but the request on there side was huge


    i personally think thats the fall for it too work 100% i put everything into there own groups then set send to all readers my cache was huge and like i said 60-70% was dealt with the cache and that was with only 1 cache user


    to prevent the above i played around with the settings (back from what they was) and with just 1 cache user and normal cache im getting


    1294 (8.93%) 1 cache user


    so im guessing adding more cache users who have the same local cards will definately help the cacheEX


    how i think it works if you have 5 cacheEX users and all for EG have 10 clients on each thats 50 ecms from clients say sly uk for instance, that will be a massive amount of cache and alot more will be dealt with the cacheEX therefore reducing the load on your card and your peers cards and your cacheEX cards


    to me it looks a win win situation


    the only thing i have noticed is that ecm from the local reader have dropped from a steady 90-100ms to sometimes 200ms but thats still very quick and thats not all the time


    so in therory 50 clients spread out over 5 servers for EG (only) are not busy servers but them combined is in theroy making a busy server but actually in a very good way


    this is just my 2 pence worth and ideas towards cacheEX as tbvh its not a straight cut understanding and everyone seems to have there own views on whats best and how its setup correctly

    I dont use scripts or cron jobs for the reason above shuts down and dont restart or randon crashing etc, so thats why i installed ubuntu and installed (only) what i needed for the server, i manually restart it in a morning just to re fresh everything, but tbh longest i have had it online is 8 days and not a single problem


    but i do understand people like to use cron jobs scripts and work for them


    i guess its a personal preferance tbh

    oscam version needs to be 6923 (memory leaks in newer versions)


    i have groups 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 for eg, 1 being my local rest being shares

    reader 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10

    hi just had to add the dns line but the ***box still wont connect still going from offline to login and back again so still no channels from an external network a had been searching the forums but was unable to find anything on this i will try harder lol


    Reading ur post im now wondering wat im doing wrong then so do i not need cccam 2.1.3 then am i making work for myself lol


    its a personal preferance on what you use tbh either cccam/oscam or oscam on its own, i did try cccam/oscam and found it ok but tbvh lfc pointed out a few things to me about just a oscam only server and i have not looked back it just seems so much better using the 1 (oscam)


    some prefer cccam/oscam some dont some use csp some dont some use multics some dont, its personally upto the user etc what they prefer

    add these 2 lines into oscam conf in the webif section


    httpallowed = 0.0.0.0-255.255.255.255
    httpdyndns = your.no-ip.co.uk:port


    im not 100% sure how to do it with the cccam as i only use oscam alone server&reader


    EDIT :- Also if your trying to connect with a iphone/ipad/ipod etc safari wont open the webif of oscam, you will need a app called opera mini works perfect as i use it myself


    i have done a few threads on here how to connect to the webif server etc from external network from idevices

    Here is a pre edited opensc file when done the command in ssh/terminal nano and opened the opensc file hold down crtl and press and keep hold of K once deleted copy paste this in and crtl o enter crtl x


    The above file was done by admin here, ten below or masterG cant remeber lol so thanks to them

    thats were i went wrong i though it wasnt connected properly when i tried it cause said needinit, i did it from a dual bood but said connected on dual boot but needinit on main server side

    if your on a server and its doing it every single hour on the hour.....kinda looks to me as the server owner has maybe set a script and cron job to restart server every hour on the hour......could be an error on the server owners side thinking he has set it for say every day???


    EDIT as 7 seconds does look to me as oscam is being restarted, or have you got a script/cron job on the box running?? to say reset can every hour???

    other than that does it do it on a fta channel if so could be your own side if it dont then its the server end not you

    Yeah, well as long as there are mugs to pay, payservers will prosper.. Although one thing to take from that is that CSP must do exactly what it says on the tin if payservers are using it.

    yea thats what i went off installing but hit problems etc so had to use google to find work arounds and got there in the end, but iv not fully finnished it yet its just sat there waiting to be finnished lol, just not bothered lol yet lol
