Kindly ensure that the ip address is the actual address of your ubuntu server ip address that you had input during your server setup.
It could be something like 192.168.1.100 and not as from the tut.

I had my server on a netbook and sharing with family members only. Works very well with either Ubuntu or Debian and with the clone DM500S as a card reader. Now trying to setup my Ad Teknik card reader.

This new card can not be used in oscam, this card can only be read using the box they serve only, can not be used on another box. I have tried using DM500 drembox found this card can be read but failed to get the channel.

DM500S is not a HD unit. Maybe because of this you cannot get channels.
