Btw, the plugin to assign a function does work but!
First one should de-assign a function - the same way as explained above. Restart E2.
Then, as above, assign a new function and it will work...

I find it way better as it is in PurE2, simply because buttons to change channels and volume are separate, close by and obvious to use but hey ho...:derpthink: If you can't talk sense into her - all hail Da Boss...

It's down to drivers for a WiFi dongle, mostly... Some are not included in the image by default.
The rest is easy...

But in Pure2 one can't customize arrows keys: Up and Down for zapping channels and Right and Left for volume.
Where did you hear that one, I wonder?
PurE2 > MENU > Setup > System > Keyboard/RC > Button Setup > do whatever you want with the buttons... ;)
As if that wasn't enough in Keyboard/RC you have "Extra Button setup" whereby you can do all sorts... Have a look at the screenshots, please...
0) First de-assign whatever is already assigned to a button yoou want mapped differently. So, choose/press a button, press OK to de-assign it, Save and Exit...
1) Again, simply press the button you want to assign a certain function to (say, ^ button above OK button) and you will see this:
2) Then, you find the function you want to assign to it in the following menu and choose it by pressing OK:
3) Press the green button to Save it and that's it.
Also, one has menus for different "Keyboards, "Keymaps" etc.
So, remember this: PurE2 is the most malleable image around! The principle of this image is "give as much control to the user as possible"!!!
From Estuary skin itself (see Estuary config in Plugins) to Device Manager and onwards...
Why don't you try it and see and then come to conclusions... :)

It has its advantages for older machines, sure.
However, when it comes to newer, more capable machines - it is lagging behind the times, sometimes seriously so...
Btw, PurE2 has a FullHD OpenPLi skin in its feeds, if this is what you really can't do without somehow... -
If you install PurE2 it will be simple and efficient!
You will have everything you need installable and compatible online, directly from your couch/chair via RCU:PurE2 > MENU > pManager > Cam Manager > Install CamD > yes > choose...
or
PurE2 > MENU > PLUGINS > choose...
All the info is in PurE2 section...
Pay attention to FNC plugins, specially written for PurE2 by the PurE2 Team...

If you have issues with internet, try a different route: do not restore settings!
Setup your image with your remote - as much as possible...
