    I had similar issues with one of the 3 UK VPN servers as well...

    If somebody reports an IP address as a source of spam and the poster of spam shares VPN address with you - trouble!

    If after SW update you can't get into the "main menu" but only get grey-kinda colours and if you wanna press anything to go into you get a BSOD...

    Download the attached file...


    FTP to your STB (use FileZilla Client) and go to:


    /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Screens/


    Delete old Menu.py/pyo if they exists.


    Restart. You can use the (in Zgemma it's white) button at the back...


    Now, decompress and put the attached file into the same spot.


    CHMOD/Change attributes of the file to 644.


    Restart STB.


    This will happen if you go blindly: MENU > left button > OK button > 2 x left > OK... Before you manage all this the STB will have gone into restart.... If it doesn't happen the first time, the second time (after 3 automatic non restarting restarts) it will...


    All should be OK now... ;)

    Good but not very strong by today's standards, that box.


    Buy H7 and forget about many "issues" other machines might have...


    I described what and how to do with SurfShark in every detail necessary, so have fun...

    If rec is "stopping" depends on its firepower: processor and RAM...


    So, newer STBs with multi-core processors can easily dedicate one core to just OpenVPN encryption and all would be well...


    I think for us here SurfShark is best because it allows for unlimited devices and it works in Windows, Android, Enigma2 and so on, plus it is not expensive at all!

  • News regarding PurE2 - updates, problems and so on...

    6.3 is stable and should be OK but not totally up-to-date....


    6.5 is the very edge of Enigma2 development and more things are supported in it - the downside being that every so often, when changes are many and deep, you will have to re-flash everything from scratch... Which makes for good fun if one is a true hobbyists...


    Keep in mind our team is not supported by Vu/Marusys - we support them... and blindly so (we do not have those boxes!)!!!

    Yes, they are putting up ever more roadblocks and checkpoints on the way to the treasure, so it's not unexpected...


    Solving the new puzzles will depend on a number of things... IF it ever gets resolved (Look* are abandoned, as is Plass, Vumoo is a bad server etc.)...


    If it doesn't work - report and use other plugins which work...


    All we can do is wait and see...

  • PROTECT YOUR STB WITH SURFSHARK VPN SERVICE

    VPN Manager by Murxer is for all providers using OpenVPN encryption, I think.


    So, try as instructed and do tell - it would be good to know...

    P.S. There is a small difference now, with this version....


    If Surfshark username and password are too difficult to do via RCU, then use FileZilla Client to FTP to your box and go to:


    /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/VpnManager


    Right click on plugin.py and choose View/Edit (use Notepad++ for editing).


    Find lines 61 and 62 and copy and paste your username and password where you see XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX below:

    I do not use those, so...


    But you can build it into your channel list, as you can see in Ciefp's list, for instance... Ciefp has some kind of a conversion tool - I have never actually used it, sorry...


    Also, try with SayyiD E-Channelizer tool, which has plenty of jolly parts with that in mind but I am not sure if...


    Depending on the box, you can also use Kodi, for instance...


    But I do not have those "services", so ask others...

    No, install FNC plugins and you will get the latest and/or PurE2 adjusted:


    FFmpeg

    Media Player 2

    SubSupport plugin

    ServiceApp (ExtePlayer3 and GSTplayer)


    Then, don't forget to go to each FNC plugin and press MENU to configure it properly (not possible in every FNC plugin but some do have it)...
