Still ill on holidays... :(
I shall talk to Zgemma guys and we'll seee...But for now, remember Abu's words and don't expect anything and if it happens... ;)
-
Just do it, m8 - and post it here, maybe some people will know how to... ;)
If not, I shall talk to the coders... :)
-
Last image, play with settings - "preferred tuner" not to Auto... i.e. try C and tell...
Don't forget to RESTART (FULLY, not just restart E2) every time you change something important!
-
You probably scanned just one tuner, hence you did not get the other's channels, then...?
-
Yes. don't complicate it.
When you give the command to scan for channels, above you must choose which tuner first - so, you are giving a command to a specific tuner to scan for channels, not to both.
One at the time, yes... No deleting of channels, no re-scaning, unplugging cables etc.
The boring bit comes after, sorting them out, one by one, sending them where you want them to be, depending on a tuner and Favs group or whatever you decide to do...
That is why we appreciate the effort of those guys who make those "settings lists"... ;)
-
No...
Once you scan them, leave them in, m8. Make your Favs.
Then, add the second cable and scan again. Add to Favs the new channels.
Then, let's see...
-
Once you scan and make a fav group - why do you rescan?
-
Indeed!
In the Tuner setup, I suppose, one should not put "Tuner B (cable) = the same as Tuner A (cable)", for instance... Is Romania catered for in the settings, for those 2 providers - can you actually do them separately, one for each tuner?
And then, if they are having separate cables (following the Sat TV logic where 2 different cables feed 2 separate tuners, at least), it stands to reason that it should work properly... but hey... who knows...
-
-
Not sure, never used cable, just Sat and T2, sorry... Plus, your setup is unusual, I must say...
Have you tried a "preferential tuner" settings?
When you go to setup re. tuners - how exactly do you do that? The Devil lies in the details... Settings?
Also, the fact these channels are all in the same list of channels in the end is normal. Once you scan it all you make Favs out of those. Or choose by provider.
Use SetEdit and DreamBox Edit editors to sort them out. Hopefully, somewhere in those one can link each provider to a different tuner, as preferential - maybe...???
I mean, is it at all possible to link each provider to a different tuner? Sorry, I'm ill on a holiday, brain not working...
-
No idea, sorry. No idea of the personal server OR what exactly you are doing, since you didn't give us any details, ergo can't help you....
If and/or when you succeed, make sure you give us the little tutorial here, so others can do it, too - if interested... ;)

New plugin by Delfi/tromo:
"In the feeds WiFi AP/hotspot"
Apparently, working especially well in boxes with built-in WiFi devices... ;)
More from Delfi:
"Makes most sense on boxes with built in WiFi (osmio4k*, sf8008, etc..)Low RAM impact and CPU strain.
In the feeds as enigma2-plugin-systemplugins-wifiap
MENU--> PurE2 plugins --> Setup WiFi AP
Preset Value should work in most cases, if the adapter/wifi device is 5GHz capable or can function in a best mode possible (a very rough guess, with wifi, permutations and surprises are... many), that is a preferred mode.
Due to almost countless combinations of interaction between the kernel and wifi drivers, it is possible to setup non working stuff in "Advanced" mode, so... beware. This is still, sort of beta stuff.
Boring Tech notes:
Should work on most boxes like DMMs, VUs, that have some features in the kernel enabled or do not practice some protection via Ethernet iface.
Some USB adapters on some kernels cannot work in AP/hotspot mode. For example Mediatek mt7601u driver does not work, but on a different/older kernel mt7601uSTA might be ok. Similar situation is with once popular Alfa AWUS036H long range based on 8187B wifi chipset. Commercial AP devices and routers usually have custom drivers that work in a one of 2-3 dedicated modes. Sadly, miracles can not happen all the time.
Did not check old rt73, they could make problems as well, besides they need so much power that your PS might not be happy.
EDIT: just found old rt73 b+g Asus USB wifi stick lying in the dust, and it works ok on sf8008 as a 2nd WiFi adapter.
New rtl8812AU and similar AC1200 stuff seems to work very nice (again, on some kernels).
In the future release it ***might*** be possible to use active wifi adapter both as a client and an AP, but, again, not many drivers are capable of this. Therefore, as it is, it makes sense for users that have a box connected to a wire and might need an additional AP.
Due to some tech drama, this is not available for SH4 boxes, but we''ll try to solve it if possible.
Some older chipsets like rtl8182eu used in many boxes (well, depending on the HW revision), might support "n" mode in 5 GHz band. Whether it works in your individual case is, sadly a question of luck. 5 GHz band is probably a better choice due to 2.4 band congestion and speed, but, to really work decently, it needs a clear path between a client and AP, or, at least, multi antennae capability between both, the AP (your box) and client (your phone or laptop).
On the other hand, 2.4 GHz band is usually better with penetration thru obstacles like walls, etc.
Really boring stuff about the channel choice for your AP:
Some Realtek (and other) devices are nice to suggest a best ch available. This sound great, but actually it is not really, as these wild guess suggestions are based (usually) only on 20MHz bandwith, or in the best case 40MHz, alas in some rather lazy mode. If one is curios, a check can be made from telnet and:
cat /proc/net/rtl8192eu/wlan0/best_channel
of course, adjust as per your device.
Usually it makes a senseless suggestion, so --> channel choice is up to you. There are decent apps for smartphones (wifi scanners) that might help you with the right choice.
As always YMMW.
Have fun and may the wifi force be with you."

I have no idea what you are talking about, m8...
H7 is booting from its internal flash, not from USB device or SATA HDD. No need for special multiboot plugins!
Once you install an image from a USB stick I suggest you keep it in but initialise (=format) it. You put picons, EPG etc. on it.
SATA HDD/SSD should only handle recording, timeshift and .kodi folder made by default by Kodi plugin.
No such USB or SATA connected device has ever interfered with my H7 booting process - ever!
Read more in PurE2 section in how to structure PurE2 image, written by me...
-
I would prefer, if I am honest, not to use DMM boxes, which makes your life a bit easier, not having to worry about some a-hole building an image with a HW checker, time bomb and other little DMM specialities...
Zgemma H7 is dirt cheap and a monster machine!
-
Indeed! This will repartition your 4GB flash and starting anew is always a good thing!
After a while mistakes accumulate and so... have fun, that's the main thing!
Plenty of info in PurE2 section! Njoy!

My kid's gran is now using PurE2 with FNC plugins and loving watching movies with her grandsons... :rasta2bigsmoke0gf1:

As I said, the coder changed his life drastically and he needs time to adjust and find time for the hobby...
New country, new language, new culture, new city, new job, new everything...
When he gets on his feet... In the meantime we carry on with what we have...
-
I am not sure I follow: how do you know this has anything to do with the image, that it wasn't there from before?
Secondly, why is this so significant? If the password is complicated...?
