linearFHD v4.4.1 - VTI only
Requirements:
For the full range of functions, the linearFHD
- VWeather3 plugin (automatically installed with the skin as a dependency)
- Advanced Event Library (must be installed via the feed under Extensions
- As of linearFHD 3.5.0, the AEL Converter/Render are no longer installed with the skin.
The AdvancedEventLibrary plugin must be installed independently.
A note can be found under Menu - VTI - LinearFHD Pro in the lower area. The reason for this are possible installation problems Skin/AEL
useful information
- The skin is ONLY for VU+ boxes with VTI. Other images are not supported!
- When installing the skin, original VTI images are overwritten: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/SystemPlugins/VTIPanel/pictures
- During installation, the skin saves the original VTI images, depending on the box, to: /usr/share/enigma2/linearFHD/VTIPanel/
- When de-installing the skin, the original images are restored

Weather display
- To do this, the following plugin must be installed and configured: VWeather3 weather plugin
- Important! Obtain API keys (none are necessary for selecting Yahoo weather in the plugin)

linearFHD - configuration
- Style: Two colors are stored here
- The weather in this display does not need to be configured because it is no longer possible

vfd- Skin for Solo4K and DUO4K
- Activation under: Menu - VTI - linearFHD Pro - vfd - Skin - Solo4K - DUO4K
- After activation you get a display under: Menu - VTI - VFD Skin - linearFHD/.....
- I haven't seen any disadvantages, except that there is no preview image under /usr/share/enigma2/vfd_skin

Mediaportal
- Be sure to set the standard skin in the MP (clean_FHD) with your currently used skin
- When installing the liniarFHD, a link is set to: /usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/MediaPortal/skins_1080/
- Select "linearFHD" in the MP's setup
- Danger! If the MediaPortal was installed after the linearFHD (e.g. reinstalling the box), the skin must be installed over it again, because only then will the link be set

How do I create a wallpaper
3 files are required for the complete display
- Wallpaper.png
- .xml
- preview.png

1. Wallpaper.png
- Find wallpaper/ picture
- Size 1920x1080 (For the example here I use the name " hallowe en.png "
- Format: .png
- Warning: do not use 24-bit images!!
- So my recommendation: have it compressed here (8bit): TinyPNG – Compress PNG images while preserving transparency
- Reduce the saturation of the image using an image editing program until the image becomes black and white
- Lower the exposure until the picture feels right. The darker, the easier to read the font color in the skin.
- Save finished wallpaper to: /usr/share/enigma2/linearFHD/pic/wallpaper/ halloween .png

2. Create .xml
- Template can be found here in the attachment (save on your PC)
- rename to: skin_Wallpaper_-_Halloween.xml
- Open .xml with e.g. Notpad++ and insert your name of the image here (note the upper and lower case letters)

- Place finished .xml in: /usr/share/enigma2/linearFHD/allScreens/ skin_Wallpaper_-_Halloween.xml

3. Create preview.png
- Copy the created wallpaper halloween.png and save it on your PC
- rename to: preview_skin_Wallpaper_-_Halloween.png
- reduce to 630 x 354 and compress again via TinyPNG
- Save the finished image under: /usr/share/enigma2/linearFHD/preview/preview_skin_Wallpaper_-_Halloween.png

Worth knowing about Display of "extra data" in linearFHD - the EPG Refresh plugin must be activated and configured
1. Use of the skin WITHOUT extra data

- Data comes via EPGRefresh. No display in the skin, then that's the way it is, I can't change it
2. Use of the skin WITH extra data, images, FSK, rating
