    Hi All,
I followed the excellent tutorial from "thatfellow" on this site in building an oscam/cccam server.
I used this twice recently with no problems running a sly card in cccam. I now want to take this server a step further by running my card in oscam but still use cccam to share. I have never used oscam before so I am completely dumb in this regard. I have noticed that the oscam.server file is blank. Is this normal. I am currently using a smargo which is running fine locked to the card using its ID. I have the following line in my cccam.cfg file but am not sure of the next step. N: 127.0.0.1 10000 cccam cccam 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256
Any advise or a step by step guide for a novice would be greatly appreciated. To recap, card fine running in cccam but want to keep existing clients in cccam.cfg and run card in oscam.

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work.

    Hi All,
I need some help with a ubuntu server 12.04.5 which I built with the tutorial on this site. This is my second one as I decided to set this one up as a spare. My first one is running fine with cccam and one smargo for the past year or so. However this current one sees my card and its entitlements but freezes on a lot of channels. I am suspect of my smargo and its settings. What is the easiest way for me to check the smargo settings or is there a preffered sw version I should have installed on the smargo for running a sl* card. Pulling my hair out.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi All,
    Update on above post.
Installed another smargo and used smartreader tool to set smargo to 6mhz, normal, EGT0, T mode0. Running better now but some channels such as disney junior still freezing. Tried at 6.8mhz but still the same. Am I chasing my tail here.

    Thanks mckee25,
I will be more careful with the terminology I use in the future.
Hopefuly someone will answer my inquiry about seca3. Don't know who to believe but have found this forum very good in the past.

Sorry I have not explained properly.
Friend to me that if I want to run seca 3 at home to my TV's I need all sorts of things for this card to work. Don't know if he is correct or not.
Please remove my post if I am breaking rulse.

    Hi all,
I am using an N line from a third party for Digital + spain on 19.e which I am not happy with the service. I would now like to run my own seca 3 card. Do I need original box etc, etc. Any advise would be appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

I tried amiko hd channel editor at the weekend. It worked fine ( or so I thought ). I setup FAV's etc and saved the setup to a memory stick. All OK. I transferred the new channel plan from the usb stick to the box and all appeared ok. When I arrived at a house to install the box all the FAV's were gone. For some reason the amiko hd channel edit tool does not save the transferred channel plan. I tried using all types of editors using rs232 also. Looks like only a linux type box will work 100% every time in my experience.

The only advantage of having a DNS account with a static IP address is that most peers don't note the IP address down so if you change your dns it gets rid of them if they are a bad peer.

If you want a cheap dns provider try DTDNS.

    Nano

    Thanks Nano.
I was considering setting up my new server with another company other than dyndns.com. However my Lynksys router has only two providers (dyndns.org and Tzo.com) in the drop down tab in the DDNS part of the menu. I wonder am I limited with this router to using these two providers.

Thanks for getting back to me. You are correct. Just tried pinging a few dyndns accounts and it showed me their ip addresses. This question arose recently when a friend mentioned that he had a dyndns account but also had a static ip from his service provider. He is adamant that this is the best way for a server to run. ??????.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I presume you mean that a static ip address without a dyndns account can be traced easily. The dyndns account carries out two functions. 1. Gives a high level of privacy and 2. tracks your dynamic ip address. Correct me if I am not correct.
    Thanks again.

    Hi All,
I currently have a dyndns account which has been running with dhcp ok for the past 3years.
I now have to buy a new account and I was wondering if I should also order a static IP from my isp at this stage.
Any advantage to ecm timing etc.
    Thanks in advance.

Thanks for getting back to me.
I am saving the epg to the usb stick. I will test for a few days and see how things go. The problem seemed to arise when I was using the crossepg download from the internet. Open Tv looks ok at the moment. It's my first time to use it, however I have disabled the download every night feature and will do it manually every 4 or 5 days or so.
    I will keep you posted.

    Hi All,
Just updated my BH image on a VU+ Duo to 2.1.1. Here is what happens now. When I run an epg download using crossepg all appears fine until it reaches the 'parsing' part of the process. The progress is a little slow but this may be normal. It then enters 'parsing' again but this time with no progress bar and just sits there. Sometimes it locks the box up and I occassionly need to power cycle the unit twice to restore normal operation. I have tried Open Tv which seems to work for me (at the moment). Is there a bigger underlying problem there.
    Any suggestions or advise appreciated.

    Hi all,
Running a vu+ duo for the last 3 years or so. Recently I had to replace a regulator IC which restored life back into the box. I also upgraded to BH 2.0.9.1 as from time to time with all other BH images I experienced various levels of epg reliability. Recently I need to restart enigma 2 every day for the epg's to display properly then all is ok until the next morning. I download the epg guide to a usb stick. Before I restart the box I checked in devise manager and found that both the usb and hdd are not visable. They only appear after I restart the box. However if I select my recordings before I reboot, the recordings will display properly. Maybe my problems with the epg's has something to do with the usb storage side of things.
I welcome any comments or advise.
