So I put what you posted at the end of the c line that I wish the receiver to see as a second choice connection. Do I leave my 3 0 0 { 0:0:1 } no unchanged.
Will this make any difference to the ecm's timing.
BH is currrently running BH 2.0.3 now ...

I will stay with 1.7.6 for the moment now that my epg issue is resolved unless someone convinces me that upgrading to 2.0.3 will bring some benefits.

I have one box setup on open TV and the other one set for Ryec uk. I will run both over the next week or so and see how both compare.
Update,
After running crossepg for many weeks now I have proven that it works better than the BH epg setup. I have noticed that if the epg's do not display properly restarting the GUI will restore them perfectly. No need to force epg download at all.
I will be staying with crossepg.

I am wondering if anyone has had a problem with this box when you decide to carry out a re-tune on the DVB-T band. It will re-tune and save the new mux but will not display its content. The only way I can get around this is to manually upload the channel plan to a stick, remove the unwanted DVB-T channels using a channel edit tool and save this to the box. I then carry out a manual re-tune of the mux that covers our local area. It's a pain because if you go down the automatic tune option the box will probably save a mux from a transmitter site that is not intended to deliver service in our area. This will result in channels pix-elating and other poor signal effects.

I was wondering if it is possible to direct a box which is running cccam to a certain server. Both servers are running the same cards / packages but my box will connect to the first c line thats in my config if I restart cccam. It normally works off the second c line which I know has the greatest load on it. The first c line / server has almost no traffic on it.

UPDATE.
Crossepg with xepgdb is working fine for over a week now. One box I have setup with open TV and the other is set for Rytec UK. It seems that this is a better option than the BH epg that I have been using for the past 18 months. Hope it lasts.
i use opentv providers...on 28.2 uk, configured to download each morning on my usb stick at 4am.....works great...lol.

crossepg works much better with the xepgdb providers and it does not interrupt your tv viewing but you will have to update your xepgdb providers first

Yes I used xepgdb providers and it downloaded a new epg last night so things are looking good. Time will tell if it crossepg works better that the BH epg I have been using for the last while.

All useful advise. I was getting pi##ed off again with bh 1.7.6 as I could not download the epg guide for the last two days using BH Epg from Rytec UK. However I decided to try Crossepg for the first time today. To my amazement the epg's returned.
I will test over time and see which is the more stable option, open TV or Rytec.

I need some suggestions on what is the best way to add a second linux server which will be connected to the same router.
At the moment I have a Dyndns account which works fine. My lynksys router has the DDNS feature which syncs to this account and was simple to get running initally. If I add a second server unit with a different port will this be ok. My second option it to use another Dyndns account which I have in place but never used however the dropdown DDNS option in the router lists 2 service providers (the second one being TZO.com).

I have the exact same issue on my Duo to. But Does ANYONE know if it can be better then it is now (my box is not showing a complete EPG every 2'nd day or so..really annoying) because you really cannot place a timer to if the epg is not showing some days in the future!?! I have found that even with all my settings as per the link posted by wozbwfc below I still have intermittent loss of EPG's. Sometimes using EPG restore works fine but not always. The best way when all else fails is to use menu / shutdown / hard reset and then do a manual EPG download. I have just restored the EPG this evening using this procedure. My wife had tried for about an hour with little success but did not know about the hard reset trick. Also worth checking is devise manager as sometimes neither the HD or the USB stick will be detected. My box usually crashes with green screen at this stage but when it reboots all will be ok. I am using BH 1.7.6. Using 1.7.8 was a pain as I had frequent green screen crash scenarios.

Just tried DB edit but cannot connect at all. I used it in the normall way over the network. Have set up many Dm500's Vu's etc with DB edit but no joy with Amiko STHD 8820.

Can anyone recommend a channel editor for the Amiko STHD8820 that I can use on a PC. I have a lot of sorting out to do on a box that will be connected to 4 sat's so a tool would speed things up if one's available.
