go for the TM 3T m8, same chipset as the solo2 but has 3 tuners, and the 3rd tuner is a hybrid DVB-T / T2 / C tuner, they also havent been out for a year yet, so would still be covered by original manufacturers warranty ;)
-
the Technomate TM Twin is similar to the Vu+ Duo, more memory, and also supported by vix (has modulated RF output as well which some people like/use)

you cant simply edit the xml file to make the font bigger. the text is inside a container, which youd also have to make bigger, and this would have a knock on effect on other parts of the screen.
use the images built in option for resizing the fonts, or youll end up completely screwing up the overall look of things

Just do as other members do. Share for a share. If you have a package share for one you haven't got. This hobby isn't about getting stuff for free. I like it because I can view channels on other satellites that would be impossible to fund otherwise. So in theory I pay for 1 subscription, but get to view many more via "shares"
this was the original ethos of 'card sharing' years ago before the payservers started to ruin the 'hobby'
what goes on now is no longer card sharing, but, 'control word purchasing'

set a timer to zap one minute before the recording is due to start, not ideal, but will solve the problem
-
could be just a simple change in the BBC site like it was the last time, im sure there will be some sort of 'announcement' soon enough from the usual sources ;)
-
try refining the 'rules' that auto timer uses
if for example you try to record 'the simpsons' on channel 4, youll instantly have numerous conflicts, as its broadcast on many regional versions of channel 4 all at the same time, so itll add ALL of them to the auto timer lists to record, and lock up all your tuners while it attempts to record as many of them as possible

im going to do it with my xp1000 mount a usb hard drive in a sly hd box with an added fan i think next
the sly HD boxes have 12v fans inside them as standard, the newer smaller receivers even have them nicely side mounted, as well as the HDD and fittings already in place, and cables long enough to reach anywhere inside the case, all youll need a a SATA-USB adaptor

i love things like this, ive done loads of wierd stuff similar in the past. for internal drives, ive found that if you remove a small hdd from its caddy, the metal is thin enough to be cut and shaped into brackets / supports for the HDD and will take the weight of the drive, and keep it secure with no problems
i had the first ever TM receiver with an internal HDD, it also doubled up as an MP3 jukebox lol
im so tempted to do this with a slyHD case and one of my enigma 2 receivers

ive been playing with one for nearly a week, xbmc runs perfectly on it
ive used E2 for so long that it took a fair bit of getting used to, but, its a good bit of kit so far
-
lol, was so interested at having a pop at me she didnt realise it wasnt me that made the package, ill take that one for you m8 :)

looks like someone has taken offense at master-Gs work in making the ipk for people to use
Quoteall he did was rip the files from our GIT and repackage them in order to try and claim he did it first
-
doesnt work on latest pli release
errors installing
no module named lxml
plus others
opkg install python-lxml
plus others
;)
-
and your point is?
i also posted the following in the original post
Quotethe original files (which are untouched in the zip file) are from here https://github.com/oe-alliance/oe-alliance-plugins .
this thread isnt for OE-A images, and is of no use to you. a link to the full source, including the makefiles, was included for people to see ALL of the files, instead of some code which wont make any sense to most people who look at the commits
4OD is back!
All credit to XBMC's Mossy again, top work!! The feeds don't provide as
much programme data as previously but it's enough to live with!:p
-
thanks for that, could you please edit the first post so as not to cause anyone problems while they are following it
-
Latest OnDemand plugin, incorporating the 4OD fix from XBMC (NOT my work, ive simply put everything together for installation to PLi based images)
Telnet into your receiver, and run the following commands
Codeopkg install python-beautifulsoup opkg install python-dnspython opkg install python-numbers opkg install python-simplejson opkg install python-lxml
installing python-lxml should also install python-compression and libxslt, if it doesnt, then telnet the commands
FTP the attacked ipk file to /tmp, and telnet the command
finally, unzip the OnDemand folder, and copy the entire folder to
/usr/lib/enigma2/python/Plugins/Extensions/
and restart enigma
Tested and working (inc 4OD) on TM-TWIN with 4D image
EDIT: before the usual trolling starts, the original files (which are untouched in the zip file) are from here https://github.com/oe-alliance/oe-alliance-plugins .

Thats why he's taken to hiding on the welsh mans forum, both untrustworthy wankers.
as i can see this is another dig at me, again, id like to say, kiss my blessed welsh ar$e
ViX (as a team) are more than guilty of ripping off code and passing it off as their own, 'built from the ground up' after all of the hard work has been done, and as you so often say yourself 'its all above your head', so go and find a nice little 'hello world' bit of code to start you off, then come back in a few years and play with us code newbies, and maybe even one day understand what you post so much about, or stick to the PR copy and pasting you do about all of this 'above your head' stuff, and continue to be the organ grinders monkey
what have YOU personally created and given to the scene / hobby?

the tooway service ping speed is a little too slow for CS, they also dont recommend playing third person shooter type games on it due to the lag (im a registered Tooway and BeyonDSL installer ;) )

it was only broadcast on bbc london, i watched it, it was the usual polarised scare tactics reporting not quite getting everything right. ensuring they only showed up close the cartons for '***box' receivers, yet showing dreambox receivers piled up on their desk. with the on screen message saying 'you are using an illegal set top box' showing the person watching it, even though they said virgin media, they implied that thats what happens with these receivers.
so much of that 'story' was inaccurate, its laughable. its sole purpose was to scare the public from buying the pre configured receivers, which makes me think that maybe *** have lost control to an extent. if it was this huge epedemic (which from our perspective as hobbyists, it actually IS) then surely *** could stop it, but, now its so huge, with some card servers boasting thousands of paying clients, if *** was to spend ~£40 million replacing viewing cards, and some of these servers are so big, whats to stop a server putting up a £500k pot to entice hackers to work for them ensure they get their cards back online, and then get even more customers as other servers will be down?
maybe this programme has been paid for to scare the public, as thats now their only option that wont cost millions of quids, and fail? (<< conspiracy theory lol)
