Here's the guide to Sort/rearrange menu items in OpenATV.

go into Menu and press 'BLUE' key on remote

Select/highlight the menu item you want move using up/down arrow key

now press 'GREEN' key and move it up or down to your desired place using up/down arrow key and Press 'GREEN' key again to record the change

repeat above steps for all the menu items you would like to sort or rearrange

finally press 'BLUE' key to save all the changes and exit the menu

Voila, it's all done.

This would work under Standby / Restart menu too

For your information, the jedi maker is scheduled to run at 06.20 am and the epg importer was set to run at 07.20 am, but when i looked at the epg, it was as before so i had to run the script again and at the moment everything is fine, but i have disabled the epg schedule for the time being. i will know tomorrow if everything is ok. will update you tommorow as soon as i find out.

Step 1 Uninstall the script

Step 2 run a bouquet update by going into jedimakerxtream and hit update bouquets.

Step 3 Try a fresh installation and this should fix the issue.

Can you make sure if the source is still selected in epgimporter before you are initiating the manual import?

Hi Sunash,

I am using the same image and having no issues with script. Can you try to uninstall it before running a fresh installation. uninstall using below command.

cd /usr/script && ./uninstall1.sh

tbe your example is for uk, so rytec names swap should work for you. Although it won't put the sd,hd, etc back at the end.

Agree! The channel names are all over the place. My script can only remove the special characters and the unwanted text in between, not more than that.

And also the word 'HD' and alphanumeric from #DESCRIPTION too to match snp name e.g. [UK] [4K] BBC 1 HD should be renamed as BBC one

I have made a one line script using sed command that removes unwanted alphanumerics or special characters from all bouquet channel names i.e. [UK] [HD] |UK| (UK) etc. in userbouquets.jmx....tv files sitting in the enigma2 folder.

In this way the channel name appears short and accurate and it also starts showing SNP picons for most of channels except few though I am using my provider's picon which I like compare to any other (personal preference).

I have also set up cron just to make sure the script runs after jedimakerxtreme update that reset the channel names to default.

On top of it, I have created another script that download the provider picon from m3u file and rename them exactly as the shortened channel names the other script has created so no missing picons.

I checked what is going on in the hdd/epg/ folder and I can confirm that the download of epg.xml and conversion to .gz works fine.

I have no idea though why the % count stops at 35% !! I simply ignored it.

Anyway, I closed the script window and ran epgimport using "clear before import" option and bingo my epg is now corrected.

No idea why the cron job was not added (Image Black Hole). Anyway, I added it manually and will monitor how it is going every day.

I haven't tested this script on Black hole image hence not sure why it didn't add cron and stuck at 35% on screen. Good to hear that it is working :thumbup:

Load EPG only for IPTV channels - no
Clear current EPG before import - Yes - I always have this as yes incase something has become corrupt or clashes
Load long descriptions up to X days - if your provider is huge - start low - maybe 3 to 5

Run Jedi once and make sure you select your provider in epg importer sources.
To populate epg before the next auto time - run a manual scan.

Jedi Maker Xtream plugin

Main settings - try increasing the server timeout

Build bouquet - try 'Rebuild XMLTV EPG data' - this is slower but might catch an XML data error.


Lastly - a lot of providers get the offsets on epg wrong. So if you got epg, but its wrong - See ravstars advice on this.

That is all the advice I can offer at the moment - my plugin is in no state to release any further updates at the moment as I am transitioning between old and new versions.

Oh happy day :redface:

Don´t know exactly what made it work. But follow the instruction above. Had done it several times before...

Changed: Load long descriptions up to X days to 3

Changed: Server timeout to 8

Refreshed the satellites channels via TV8. (This has always worked.)

Ran ManualEPG import

Ate dinner :tongue1:

When I was back, the EPG was there in the bouquets. The UK is not there yet, but there was something about this elsewhere.

Sounds like your provider had some issue with EPG i.e. either it was an old epg.xml or the file was missing. Always good to double check on other device if you can. Cheers

Hi Baxx5 looks like script cannot fetch information from epg url. Which device you are using and if possible send me the screenshot of you epgimport directory
