As an update to my post above - I am now running Kodi 15.1 Isengard and as before can stream HD channels via the pvr VU+ / Enigma2 Client. I am just wanting to stream channels from VU Duo2 for a package that I have an official card for.

Most work ok, but as I said above a few certain channels will not stream with Kodi just hanging at 0% buffering.

I have discovered that this happens when the channel in question has an alternative 'definition' in the bouquet. I read on another forum that the problem might be due there being "no API call on the enigma2 backend which could tell the pvr addon that there are alternatives for that channel - especially as the alternative channels could change at any time".

Does anyone know of a workaround to this problem?
    Thanks.

edit - specifically I am hitting this problem when one frequency has 2 instances of the same channel, different sids, same vpid/apid & pcr.

I am using Kodi 14.0 and have configured Live TV and the pvr client VU+ / Enigma2 Client and I can now stream channels from my VU Duo2 running Vix Hades 018 to my PC. Streaming HD channels from the VU DUO2, some work perfectly fine, absolutely no issues, whilst others result in Kodi 14.0 just hanging at 0% buffering. My PC is running Windows 7 Pro, Core i7 at 3.8 GHz, 12GB ram, GTX 970.
    I am considering :-
    1. modifying the video cache by creating advancedsettings.xml file which currently doesn't exist
    2. installing Kodi 15.1 Isengard over 14.0 to see if that has any impact

Any thoughts on how to overcome the Kodi hanging on 0% buffering on some channels issue would be very much appreciated.

p.s. - perhaps I should add that I am only attempting to stream channels from the VU that I have an official sub for and some work and some don't

I have configured Live TV and VU+ /Enigma2 Client in Kodi 14.0 to watch the channels streamed to my PC. The initial set up works fine, but the problem I have is that I can only see the channels in Kodi that are in a Last Scanned user bouquet on my VU Duo2. When Kodi starts I see in top right 'Importing EPG from Clients' but when I go into TV EPG or Channels it only shows the few channels that are in the Last Scanned user bouquet on VU Duo2. I know I could delete the Last Scanned bouquet in DBE or via Open Webif but not sure I should. Can anyone help. Thanks.

By way of an update, I have found that using Open Webif I can add a channel[s] to the Last Scanned bouquet and it works.

Thx for reply, obviously I have kodi running on windows. Which receivers/images do you have running with kodi? As I hope is visible from my signature I have BH 2.1.4 running on my VU Ultimo & Solo2, with the latest VIX on my Duo2.

Hope it is ok to post here re the above addon. I have tried to install it in kodi 14.0 running on windows 7 64bit but get a dependencies not met message. Looking in the kodi.log I see .....
' Addon plugin.video.hasbahcam3u requires xbmc.python version 2.0 which is not available'

    Any advice, thoughts? Many thanks.

Rather than deleting my post in an attempt to hide the evidence, and having given it a moments thought, I assume that was the probably the dumbest post ever .... and that this can't be installed on windows os

I am unsure about coming in here but ... reading the original post I see "I've downloaded and flashed with MGcamd IPK (tried both mgcamd 1.38 & 1.38c). The installation appears to go well;. This doesn't convince me that the downloaded .ipk file has been installed in Vix via Blue Button/Vix/Install local extension. Perhaps the OP could confirm that having downloaded the .ipk file, he has ftp'd it to var/tmp and the subsequent installion has been done?

Yes, but if you follow the instructions in the link [to his original post] from master G in post 2, then this browser related issue is resolved and you don't have to do anything repeatedly!

To clarify, the OP was asking if it is possible to view certain channels broadcasting on 27.5w on a TM box with CCcam. Post 3 in this thread asks if it possible to achieve this on a VU box. It most definitely is, for example, on a VU DU02 running Vix Apollo and mgcamd 1.38 and I believe it works with Oscam ymod. However, apart from the obvious requirement for the latest k**s, it does require a fair amount of other work. This is what I am not sure it is ok to discuss.

Does anyone know where I can find out what all the symbols that appear on the vfd are. For example I have what looks like an oval shape in brackets that is flashing on/off and is situated in the centre of the top line of the vfd, above the channel name and to the left of the clock. Can anyone help. Thanks. Cant see anything in the manual.

For info - I installed IPTV List Updater 1.62 on vu ultimo BH 2.1.0.1 and the install reported unable to satisfy dependencies for python-textutils, curl & udpxy. Installed the 3 necessary ipk files as per master G in post 2 [thanks!] and reinstalled 1.62 of the Updater and all now ok.

Hope you don't mind another question - I installed enigma2-plugin-softcams-oscam-ymod-pli_18.49_all.ipk, the oscam.dvbapi file contains all commented out lines except 1 prioritise line. I am not sure if I have to change anything here. Apologies for a possibly daft question.
