Alright, tech wizards and bargain hunters!

Let’s talk about something we all ignore until it’s too late **your receiver’s processor overheating like a forgotten potato in the microwave.**

    **Why Should You Care?**

Every receiver—whether it’s Enigma, DreamBox, or any other fancy box—has electronic components that generate heat. Why? Because physics hates us. Electricity flows, resistors resist, capacitors… capacitors? (I failed electronics class, okay?). And the star of this heat show? **The processor.**

In Enigma-based receivers, that little silicon diva has a **maximum temperature limit**. Push it too far, and your device starts acting like a drama queen—freezing, crashing, or worse, **permanently frying itself** (RIP, dear friend). Then you’re stuck telling your family, *"No, we can’t watch the game tonight… the receiver is… um… praying?"*

    **Real-World Heat Drama ( 🌞🔥)**

    - **Box Winter temps:** A cozy 60–75°C (still hot enough to cook an egg slowly).

    - **Box Summer temps:**

A spicy 80–100°C (aka **"Welcome to Receiver Hell"**). Mercy is sweet, folks. 😂

**The Budget Cooling Solution (Because We’re Not Made of Money)**

Internal cooling fans? Overpriced and underpowered. **Here’s my cheap, lazy, and effective fix:**

**Option 1: The USB Desk Fan Hack**

    - Grab a **USB-powered PC case fan** (the kind that costs less than a shawarma sandwich).

    - Plug it directly into your receiver’s USB port.

    - Point the airflow toward the receiver’s vents.

    - Boom. Instant cooling.

**Option 2: The "I Have an Old Phone Charger" Special**

    - **Fan:** 12x12cm DC fan (cheap, widely available).

    - **Power:** Any old **5V phone charger** (the one you kept "just in case").

    - **Wiring:** Connect fan wires to the charger (red to +, black to -).

    - **Placement:** Blow air **toward** the receiver’s vents (don’t fight physics—hot air rises!).

    FB_IMG_1746828735511.jpg

    **Results? Magic.**

    - My Octagon’s temp dropped from **85°C to 55°C** (like going from a sauna to AC paradise).

    - **Performance boost?**

Oh yeah. No more lag, no more crashes—just smooth streaming.

    - **Longevity?** Your receiver won’t die a fiery death next summer.

    ###

    **Pro Tips:**

    1. **Buy a silent fan**—unless you enjoy the sound of a tiny helicopter in your living room.

    2. **Find them anywhere:** Amazon, Noon, Jumia, or your local PC parts store.

    3. **Bonus Hack:** Stick **heat sinks** (aluminum fins) on hot spots for extra cooling.

Hope this saves your receiver (and your sanity). Stay cool, folks!

    **Cheers!** 😎❄️

*(P.S. If your receiver still overheats, maybe it’s time to accept that it’s possessed. Call a tech exorcist.)*

Feature Enhancement Suggestions for FlashOnline Tool in Enigma2 (Part 2)

Thank you for your continuous efforts in improving the Enigma2. Your support and responsiveness to user feedback are greatly appreciated. Below are additional suggestions to further enhance the tool’s functionality and user experience:

    1. **Custom Download Location**

Currently, the tool automatically detects the default image folder on the device. However, adding an option to set a **custom download path** (e.g., NAS or shared HDD) would provide greater flexibility, especially for users managing multiple installations or limited internal storage.

    2. **Automatic Cleanup of ZIP Files**

An option to **delete downloaded ZIP files after installation** would be beneficial for users with limited storage. This feature could be toggleable in the settings to accommodate different user preferences.

    3. **Improved ofgwrite Progress Display**

The current **ofgwrite progress screen** is quite large and centered, which can obstruct visibility during installation. Suggesting the following improvements:

    - Reduce the size and thickness of the progress bar.

    - Replace it with a **sleeker gauge or circular progress indicator** displaying a percentage in the center.

This would minimize screen interference, allowing users to continue watching their content uninterrupted.

    4. **Selective Language Installation**

To optimize storage and installation speed, could the tool allow users to **select only their preferred language** during image installation? Extracting all language files consumes unnecessary space and time, whereas users typically require only one. Additional languages could still be downloaded later via the image feed if needed.

These enhancements would significantly improve usability, efficiency, and resource management. Thank you for considering these suggestions—I look forward to seeing future updates!

    Best regards,

I think changing the methodology may be working as work around.

Please find attached my excutable file which made by ajpanel, it successfully working with all known OS images, again all os images

It include my settings such as ( please don't execute it on your device)

    fstab settings

Mount Points much as NAS, HDD...etc

The idea is simple, picked up group of files and preserve it's path in .tar.gz file.

I was planning to add more or make a script with help of AI to add more settings to it, but I passed the idea to Captain may be he interest in it.

However, you forgot to consider that settings can't simply be transferred 1:1 from Image A to Image B. There are sometimes major differences—for example, between OpenVIX and OpenATV, or DreamOS and OpenE2. Inexperienced users can easily break more than they gain this way. And honestly, no one installs ten different images at once—maybe you do, but nobody else does.

You are correct, but these features already available in some multboot plugins, I wonder if you can add it.

By the way, usage of multiple images is very common not only for testing use but multboot option Open the door to install many images on same box as common behavior.

Again, it was just thoughts to share and appreciate your inputs.

    Regards

Thanks Captain for your detailed response, please let me clarify my thoughts in another way.

    Multi-Image Download & Installation (Points 1 & 2):

Here I suggest to add queue function to download process, user can decide to start single download process like what we have now or add it to queue with another files to download it one time with one click.

Automatic Transfer of Common User Files (Point 3):

Here I suggest to transfer specific system settings during the installation process itself without the needs to restore image backup, why I have to make image backup file for 10 images just to restore my

    - Network settings and password

    - Mount Points and NAS....etc

    - Language selection

    - Location....time settings

    - HDMI and resolution settings.

The above settings should copied from the current image to the new image during the installation process itself.

There are no needs to make repeated backup/restore process for separate images.

Anyway, it were thoughts to share, may be logic or not

    Regards

    Captain

    FYI

**Feature Request: Enhancements for Flash Online Tools in Enigma2 **

The Flash Online Tool utility in Enigma2 is a highly valuable feature for downloading and installing new images. To further enhance its functionality and improve the user experience, I would like to propose the following suggestions:

    1. **Multi-Image Download Option**

Could an option be added to allow users to select and download multiple images simultaneously? This would streamline the process and save time, especially for users managing multiple configurations or testing different images.

    2. **Multi-Image Installation Feature**

Adding the ability to install multiple images in one operation would be highly beneficial. This would be particularly useful when setting up a new SD card or HDD, as users often need to install several images at once.

    3. **Automatic Transfer of Common User Files**

Could an option be implemented to automatically copy essential user files (e.g., `fstab`, `autonetwork.xml`, etc.) during the installation process? This would ensure that mounting points, network storage configurations (e.g., NAS), and other critical settings are seamlessly transferred to the new image.

    4. **Group File Patching and Configuration Settings**

Is it possible to introduce settings that allow users to patch or copy groups of files (e.g., binaries, config files) across multiple images listed in the MultiBoot Manager? This would simplify the management of shared configurations and reduce repetitive manual tasks.

Your continued support and dedication to improving Enigma2 are greatly appreciated. I believe these enhancements would make the Flash Online Tools utility even more efficient and user-friendly.

Thank you for considering these suggestions.

    Best regards,

Flash on-line always give me crash when open it

I guessed it is skin problem but it repeated on matrix as well

I know what telnet is used for. But I asked you specifically about this plugin. The plugin manages the channel list. So far, I haven't found any idea what telnet would be for specifically for this plugin. All my plugins are installed via telnet. I just put a link and a description of the plugin and instructions for use in the text file.

I mean telnet to Install your plugin itself

    Something like this

    wget -q "--no-check-certificate" https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Insprion80/Skins/main/xDreamy/installer.sh -O - | /bin/sh

This method keeps the installation process simple and **keeps users in sync with rapid updates**.

Actually this feature and similar UI are important to users, just for example Old age users or kids with reading difficulties easy for them to depend on images or icons to dealing with their box.

But again it just a feature request you can add it or ignore it.

    Regards.

Is it possible to add telnet command , I think it will nice to add it to Xdreamy skin tools box

Actually this feature should included in the image itself, all OE Base images such as openATV, OpenDroid, Egami...etc, you can activate it easily by

    Press Menu

    Press Menu again

    Select text+number+icons

Very few skins had their own icons such as

    ozata by mmark

    Dark OS by Dimitry

I think openBH deserve this feature also grid display system for plugins browser and channels list

    @kalkan99 @Mahmoud Hussein @4evervu+

Waiting for your feedback after new release 10.8.1

Now the screenshots get the arabic title in proper way, thanks for the dev team efforts.

In egami image 10.6 r9 there are no successful screenshot at all, I don't know if it personal issue or public, please check.

For The feature request to add option to filter/select all/ delete group of services not working as expected, My idea to enable The user to select group of channels and delete it from his channels file.

    The work flow as below

    Opening Ajpanel

    Services/ Channels

Services (May be New tablet display all services in setting file)

    Filter (test) just for example

Tablet include all filtered results (all test services)

    Selection..... delete/copy/move to bouquet

    Etc

    Regards
