    Still can't suss out what to do to get the card decoded. Oscam is giving reading to suugest decoded - acknowledges card, lists entitlements etc but then get this:

    19/10/2012 22:33:21 0 s init for all local cards done
    19/10/2012 22:33:21 0 s anti cascading disabled
    19/10/2012 23:05:48 ********** h Refresh Accounts requested by WebIF from 192.168.1.72
    19/10/2012 23:05:48 ********** h userdb reloaded: 1 accounts loaded, 0 expired, 0 disabled
    19/10/2012 23:05:48 ********** h userdb 1 accounts freed

    Doing my head in. CCam config connected vua c line but no locals or entitlements showing!

    Oscam files:

    Anything wrong with this?

    I have the n line on the debian service cccam config file as: N: 127.0.0.1 10001 [oscam user id] [oscam user pwd] 01 02 03 04 05 06 07 08 09 10 11 12 13 14 256

    I used the one on the oscam and cccam script; it's version 1.20-unstable_svn Rev. 7209. I am just unsure what those two boxes are or are doing.

    I think I am just about there with the Debian server - seems like everything is working except the decode of the card via oscam. The CCcam config file on the debian server shows as connected to oscam throught the n line but no local cards or entitlements are showing.

    I have also managed to connect the sat box to the debian server and decode channels (hop 2) via a test c line I applied to the debian server from a friend peer. I have now removed that text line and get nothing as oscam seems not to be decoding. I'll post the oscam config files soon.

    Hope you can help me with this one. I installed cccam and oscam with your great scripts and amended the config files. I am a little confused about what the top two lines are showing in the oscam webinterface. They were they went installed so assumed were the dummy/text ones as with cccam.

    How/should I delete?

    As you can see from the attached, one was showing as having a current channel

    I think most of this was actually unnecessary. All needed to do was port forward on the router as had a no-ip and DUC running for the sat box. Changed the port for the debian server and all good.

    I followed a guide that google brought up from this forum in the end. I think I set things up correctly using a no-ip.org address. However when I entered the command to restart the updater I was given the following message: To run ddclient as a daemon, please set run_daemon to 'true' in /etc/default/ddclient ... (warning).

    What does this mean?

    Do I actually need to run an updater via the Debian server PC if I have DUC updater from no-ip running on the same network on another PC?

    How do I then actually link this hostname to the Debian server? (I have it on my cccam config file).

    I have checked the password via the oscam.config file and despite entering correctly still doesn't like. Even tried changing back to admin/admin without success.

    I had this config file recommended by a friend:

    [global]
    logfile = /var/log/oscam.log
    nice = -1
    preferlocalcards = 1

    [newcamd]
    port = 10001@0963:000000
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314

    [webif]
    httpport = 8888
    httpuser = admin
    httppwd = admin
    httpallowed = 127.0.0.1,192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255

    But have tried the one recommended on here:

    [global]
    nice = -1
    logfile = /dev/null
    clienttimeout = 5000
    fallbacktimeout = 2500
    clientmaxidle = 120
    cachedelay = 120
    bindwait = 120
    resolvedelay = 30
    serialreadertimeout = 1500
    maxlogsize = 10
    waitforcards = 1
    preferlocalcards = 1
    saveinithistory = 1
    keepalive = 1

    [webif]
    httpport = 8888
    httpuser =
    httppwd =
    httprefresh = 5
    httphideidleclients = 0
    httpallowed = 192.168.0.0 - 255.255.255.255
    debug = 255

    [newcamd]
    key = 0102030405060708091011121314
    port = 10000@0963:000000

    Am I doing anything wrong? Which command do I enter in terminal to restart oscam?

    Trying to access Webif by http://192.168.1.65:8888/ using the webif passwords from the config file. I initially want to decode a UK 0963 card and then Viaccess when get another reader.

    Sorry - another question....

    How to I assign/link a no-ip.org address to my Debian server?

    I tried to I follow the commands for 'HOW TO NO-IP update client for linux'. Seemed to work fine until the make line or make install. As instructed entered the command 'sudo apt-get install gcc' which prompted me to enter the password for my user, which I did. I was then given the following message: <username> is not in the sudoers file. This incident will be reported.

    Via my CCcam file I am now linked to a couple of text peers but (obviously) they are not linked to me as the no-ip is not set up.

    Thanks.

    Thought I was nearly there!

    Uploaded a test CCcam.config file, which updated fine and showed me connected to a couple of test peers.

    Amended the following Oscam files via the webif (IP:8888) .config, server, services, srvid and .user. During this process I did what I thought was the sensible thing and changed the oscam user id and oscam admin id and passwords in the above files. I think restarted Oscam and was given a user name and password request box.

    However, none of the combos work (either of the 2 new ones or the default admin/admin).

    Which should it be? Can I get round this? Are there any restrictions in captial/lower case letters, symbols, numbers etc that might have caused me to bugger it up?

    I followed the commands for 'HOW TO NO-IP update client for linux'. seemed to work fine until the make line or make install. As instructed entered the command 'sudo apt-get install gcc' which prompted me to enter the password for my user, which I did. Managed to connect to Debian Pc via another one on the network via 16001 and 8080 for CCCam and Oscam interfaces respectively. Tried to FTP to the Debian PC but just getting error messages - entered the DEbian PC IP address, root and the root password. I have port 12000 opened on the router for the sat box. Do I need to open a different port for the Debian server?

    Thanks for the response.

    I'm stuck on a little more of the basics re linux. I have downloaded the .rar file of CS studio. How do I then extract and run this?

    The same also goes for the Oscam config packages here: Forum Gateway - Powered by DnP Firewall

    Also re no-ip, on this: http://linuxsat-support.com/li…ested-working-debian.html
    do I enter each command a line at a time followed but enter? Such as $ wget http://www.no-ip.com/client/linux/noip-duc-linux.tar.gz <enter> then $ tar xvf noip-duc-linux.tar.gz <enter>

    These sort of commands I'm really stuck with. Apologies if very basis, but unfamiliar with this side of things.

    Thanks.

    Hi there,

    Been running CS on a DB for a few years but finally got round to building my first dedicated server; mainly forced by crashed to satellite box. Glad I'm doing it but now hit a wall....

    A peer referred me to your excellent site and I have tried to use the already available info.

    I installed Debian 6.06 on to a PC, added the driver for an omnikey reader and followed this to install cccam and oscam:

    http://linuxsat-support.com/li…l-package-debian-6-a.html

    Tested Oscam and CCcam as directed and seemed okay but got stuck at this bit of the tutorial:

    Once you are happy its working download the configs for your own package here

    Oscam configs for all packages

    FTP the Oscam configs to the folder /usr/local/ect & restart for them to take effect

    If you are new to using a pc server read this

    For Beginners - How To Add Lines To Linux Server Using CS Studio

    (I intend to use Oscam to decode my cards and CCCam to share to my existing peers.)

    I am new to Linux (apart from on the satellite box) so opted for GNOME graphical interface and am doing things via traditional keyboard/monitor - which sure is fine. Not sure if best not to though.

    Anyway, I am not sure what I do next. I am stumped how to take it from here, get running and communicate with my sat box and others. Things I'm stuck with include:

    1. Communicate with the box remotely - tried DCC as with box but doesn't like it;
    2. Adding an amending the Oscam and CCcam config files;
    3. Applying no-ip.org - do I use the same as my sat box?
    4. Getting live from where I am.

    Am help or pointing in the right direction would be a great help and most appreciated.
