  • help me please. Black Hole 2.0.3 Hyperspace VU+Solo Backup By Ten Below.

    hi there, i downloaded the above image last night and flashed it to my box, great image and all is working perfect with it.


    just a few questions about the image i would like some help with please.


    1. i also have 13e sat setup but i am not sure on how to actually insert it into the channel list as all that is showing up is the 28.2e sat channel list.
    how do i enter the 13e channels ?


    2. when i had the image up and running i noticed a lot of the channels were missing.
    i downloaded autobouquets and ran that and still i have a lot of channels missing !!
    no i know that these channels change frequency some times and have to be retuned but i am not sure on how to do this ?
    do i have to retune each missing channel manually of is there a gizmo that will do it for me (the lazy way out)

  • lengthening my epg from a few hours to a few days ?

    lol..... cheers again for the help but yet again (third thread in a row) i have made a tit of my self.


    i have it sorted as stated above.
    when up on the epg i needed to press on the right navigation button on the remote to continue on with the menu, it was there all the time.

  • lengthening my epg from a few hours to a few days ?

    hi all, i am running blackhole 2.0.2 on my solo.
    when i go to my epg to see what is on it will only show me what is on for the next couple of hours.
    i want to lengthen this to 7 days but i am dammed if i can find out how to.
    the most annoying thing is that i have done this before but i am fecked if i can remember how to.
    please can someone remind me how this is done.

  • not so funny green lines on tv screen !!

    yeah when i turn it on anf off they are there on the quick on and off.
    on the deep stand by they are there when i turn it on even on the start up pic.
    as from hdmi my tv is ancient and does not have 1 so i am using scart.
    as for referesh rate and port...... you have lost me there

  • not so funny green lines on tv screen !!

    so for a few days now my tv has been getting funny green lines flashing all over the screen.
    i know it is not the tv and is the box that is causing it.
    it used to only happen for about 10 minutes after switching the box on first thing in the morning,
    but now it is happening constantly.
    is my box f*#ked already ?
    i was flashing loads of different images on to it when i got it as you do trying to get 1 that suited me (like a child with a new toy)
    could the constant reflashing have done it harm ?

  • 2 sat setup completed, not sure if i need a rescan or update channels

    i had been on here getting help in setting up a multisat setup, with some help and a lot of explaining i eventually got there (between the rain showers).
    any way i have now 2 dishes on the side of me house. 1 for 28e and another for 13e with both leads going into a diseqc switch then into my receiver and all is working great.
    i am currently running a couple of testlines given to me by friends for 13e and while i have a lot of channels there are quite a few that i am not getting.
    now because i know nothing about 13e and i am a bit of a numpty at this i was just wondering would/should i do a rescan to see if i can get even more channels or would this be a waist of time ?


    i am running blackhole 1.7.7 and all sats are prelisted on the image already, i have got the epg up for 13e and it is working great.
    i just dont know if the channels are not meant to be there or if it needs updated so to speak.

    i remember, but i did get the dish moved to another location yesterday and tried to get it lined up this morning before the rain returned and put an end to things.
    i did have my own sat finder connected at the time and altho i was getting a signal i have to say it was very weak.


    i just downloaded that app, i like the look of it so will give it a bash if the rain stops (i should have never done the rain dance in the first place)

    right, well i have all that done, i have a fixed dish pointing at 28e for all the norm channels and i have another fixed at 13e.
    i am getting the 28e and it is working fine.
    now.... the 13e is i think getting something, i am getting a very weak signal but i am not sure if i need to download any further channel lists or if i need to do something else.
    (by the way these are the norm 60cm sly dishes that i am using)
    i have been kinda using this: http://linuxsat-support.com/tu…tor-fixed-dish-setup.html to help me but like i said, i am not sure if i need to load anything else on to my reciever.

    ok so i have purchased a GOLDEN MEDIA DiSEqC 2.0 4 x 1 in town.
    i have my already established dish up and running and have another dish mounted and am looking to set it up just for fun.


    i just need clarification on the switch setup.


    what i am not overly sure about is:
    do i firstly need a coax from my receiver to the input on the switch called receiver.
    then a coax from my established dish to the input on the switch called lnb 1.
    then a coax from the new dish to the input on the switch called lnb 2.


    i no it sounds like a silly question but i just want to be sure

    thanks for all that, and on that note i am off to bed because me brain is officially frazzled. but i do understand it now.


    this is a great fourm, and the members, well the members speak for themselves. always someone helpful on hand more than willing to help (even for the more hard to reach like myself)

    correct me if i am wrong but my understanding for the twin lnb would be for my single tuner in the sitting room and the other for the bedroom.


    now after reading what i have just typed in above i know for a fact that that just will not work (brian is slowly but surely melting away)

    ok so forget the bedroom and now just concentrating on the sitting room i really only need a single lnb, dont i ? i still dont need a disqe switch do i ?


    can you recommend a decent lnb or will any do ?


    thankfully after all them questions i think i finally have it ;)
