  • Setup cron job

    I thought this might be pretty easy but am stuck (becoming more and more usual these days!!)


    I see theres a cron manager in BH but I want to run a script every 10 minutes and the cron manager only allows for a certain time each day...


    If I telnet in and 'crontab -e', it reports there is no crontab to 'e' lol



    Anyone know how to manually setup a cron job on the Vu+?

    I've found another script that works well on my Vu+


    If you set this to check every x minutes it should work fine!

    Anyone know how to create a cron job on the Vu+?


    I get 'no such file or directory' when trying to 'crontab -e'

    Are there any plugins which alert on screen or by eMail when & if a card you have stops working?


    Intermittently one or both of my cards will stop and a gui restart is required to refresh and bring them back up!


    Its all the more difficult as you can see the cards listed fine under cccam servers so I usually only notice when I see clients get 'nok' on channels I should have!


    Obviously monitoring your cccam output hourly isn't the best option!!

    Not sure I'd agree there mutz...passive 3D TV's are actually newer technology than active sets...Generally passive sets are much more expensive as the technology is built into the set and you can have the flexibility of the cheaper glasses....active sets are that bit cheaper because of the need for expensive glasses...in the next few years I'd say you'll see active sets disappear from the market!


    Which you prefer is of course down to your personal choice but most people who have used my active glasses don't really like the feeling lol

    3D works well on my Vu+ but its not cheap unfortunately...

    Quick note to say this needed updating in my Sly HD box....as soon as I paired it with my spare box it decoded sports straight away!


    Entitlements show as updated until Feb in OSCam so handy enough!

    damn...I just remembered my main Sly box stopped working a while back with ye olde 'no satellite signal is being received' message...


    hopefully the wife hasn't thrown out my spare HD box...I guess I'll have to pair the card with that box and update that way :hell_boy:

    Hi all,


    when upgrading Sly UK should my Vu+ be able to receive the initial entitlements for the newly added Sly Sports or should I be updating via my old Sly HD box?


    I've been keeping an eye on my entitlements in OSCam but they haven't updated since the upgrade so any pointers appreciated!

  • Help setting up JSC Sports + Sly UK with Oscam (again!!!)

    Following my post in April where Master G kindly helped me sort out this issue, I've updated to the latest BH 1.6.6 on my Vu+ but for some reason when I enable the JSC card in my oscam.conf file (uncomment the last 3 lines) it knocks off the Sly UK card and runs just the JSC card!! With the 3 lines commented out the Sly card runs fine by itself...


    I'm clearly missing something so if someone could take a juke at these files and advise, that would be appreciated!

    I installed this plugin from TSpanel but its added an ugly extra bar to my channel info screen showing the cam and other data...


    Does anyone know how to remove the bar or failing that remove this plugin? For the life of me I can't see how its removed lol

    I've used loads of different ones and they're all crap tbh...


    what are you streaming? If its HD, forget it!


    If its music, SD, anything else, then all plugs are much a muchness tbh...Solwise 200Mbit ones are probably your best bang for buck!

  • croosepg not downloading properly.

    My box crashes all the time while downloading at 6am....its very flaky at best!


    What version of BH are you using?


    I'm surprised there isn't a PC download system which the box can auto-ftp all the EPG's for Europe from it....something I'd happily pay for!

  • Setting up Sly UK card on Openbox S10

    Guys,


    slow computer, going blind, not sure which but can anyone tell me how to set up a Sly card with the openbox?


    I've everything else sorted (channels, cccam etc) but the manual is thin on the ground and I can't see any tutorials here :52_002:

    Already tried (via leeryan @DK) -


    Insert your card into your box
    Go to the client setup where you can manage your clines etc and youll find newcamd server setup
    Enable the server setting by putting yes
    Port 12000
    DES KEY default dont change it


    Now go to user management 1 menu back


    Add a user by pressing the colour button designated
    User : openbox
    Pass : pass ( choose what you want for both of these )
    EMM Allow : Yes


    Now you need to find what IP your openbox server is taking, I found this by check my modem devices or you could input your own ip..


    Then you need to create a cccam.cfg and put a line as follows :


    N: 192.168.x.x openbox pass 12000 yes


    Save, upload it to your client and away we go..
