  • USB Harddrive Share

    Hi All,


    Currenlty running open Vix. I have a internal HD for Logs,EPG,Recording. I have had a second USB Harddrive which i have moves and music on.


    The drive is formated as NTFS and I have installed NTFS-3G driver.


    1.Whats the best way to share the Second Drive or see it on a windows PC. I know CIFS can work but dont know how to set it up.
    2. Also i have a smart TV in another room but want to access the USB Harddrive via the Solo2. Will DLNA work. Is there a guide to this

    Thanks. I know there is version 1.38c but the file is in a zip. is there a ipk file for that version as they are with oscam + mgcamd. Just need the client side

  • Oscam with clientmaxidle

    Hi. I am running just Oscam on a solo2 box but connecting to a friends card. When my box is on standy so idle when does the connection drop.


    In my oscam.conf i have added clientmaxidle and in oscam.user added umaxidle but in web still shows as connected

  • RF Modulator

    As the solo 2 does not have a RF out I have purchased a Trix Link RF Modulator. It connects to a multiSwich.

    The main TV connects via HDMI to the solo2 and the Scart connects to the solo 2 and Trix Link RF Modulator.

    The RF TV will only show if in the AV settings on the solo2 i change from HDMI to Scart.

    My question is does is effect the quality changing from HDMI to scart from the AV settings even if the tv is connected via HDMI.

    Why dont the vix team have a option to have both enabled from the AV settings

    Currenlty I am running a Solo 2 with vix. I have Oscam 8639 installed via ipk. I wanted to update the OScam to a lastest version as i seem to have issue with oscam not clearing the channels until i restart oscam.


    I have looked at the Easy install of OScam on Enigma2 guide. Do i just replace the oscam in /usr/softcams and chmod 755 oscam

    Hi. I am running Open Vix but on Open Webif i have to use the root username and password. Is there away to create a new account via telnet to box and only assign it the user access to open webif

    I am currently have a Vu solo2 running openvix-3.0.747. What OSCAM version is best used for this box. I have checked the Emulator packs but dont know which version to install

  • Steam to Smart TV

    Currenlty I have a Oscam on a VIX image. I am currently not using the recording function. My second TV is a Samsung Smart TV. Instead of buying a second box is there anyway to stream to the TV. I know there is a Player of phone which i use but want to stream to my second TV.

    The user is a friend. So on mgcamd client he cant reshare if he setup oscam. I am guessing there is no point adding cccreshare and cccmaxhops to the user account in oscam.user

    Hi All, I am new to is but some good reading and advice has helped. Currenly i am only using Oscam on VU+ solo2 box. I have 1 local box with mgcamd client. I am setting up another box for external connection for a friend with mgcamd. The connection is all working but i want to stop the user from resharing or setting up is own oscam to reshare. Can this be done.


    I know in the oscam.conf i will need to add cccam with reshare and then in the oscam.user for the account set cccreshare and cccmaxhops. Just need to know if i am on the right track.
