    Does that ipk come with the card settings loaded, if not, will it use the settings from the Oscam I already installed via the LinuxSatSupport Plugin?


    By the way, what is the correct way to backup everything? Because I did Menu > Backup Menu > Blackhole Full Backup. However when I re-installed the backup by booting with the backup on the flash drive I strangely lost some of my settings: I lost all the bouquets, Cool TV Guide, Recordings menu layout and Network settings changed from use DHCP No to yes for example.


    I used to be able to hold the blue button to bring up the plugins to load but that didn't work anymore. Should that work by default or is there a plugin I'm supposed to install to enable that to show?


    Also how can I just backup my bouquets?

    Yes I'm using Blackhole (2.0.8). I already had Oscam installed via the LinuxSatSupport Plugin. But I wanted to use the latest version so I downloaded Oscam from the oscam site and FTP'd the oscam file to usr/bin. Restarted the box but I don't see the cam when I press the Blue button - the old cam still shows.

    OK I want these channels to appear in the Entertainment Autobouquet so that the frequencies will be automatically updated:



    So I edited the custom_sort_3.txt file with Notepad++ and added the following below #01 - Entertainment:



    In Autobouquets menu under "Bouquet Channel Sort" I changed from Default to Sort 3. Was that correct?


    I went into the Entertainment autobouquet and my channels don't appear at the top. It's just listing all the default channels in order of channel number. What am I doing wrong? Do I need to restart my box for it to work?

    I downloaded "oscam-svn9524-mips-tuxbox-oe2.0-webif-Distribution.tar.gz" like you said and I found the oscam file inside the .tar.gz. I can't see a softcams folder within the usr folder. There's a "scam" folder, is that it? I put the file in that folder and changed permissions on the oscam file to 755, restarted my box and I can't see the new Oscam version when I press the Blue button.

    Confusing. What does the below mean? It seems to suggest I can go into an autobouquet bouquet and change the sort order of the channels so I could have my favourite channels at the top of that bouquet - in effect having my own bouquet.

    In the About menu it says the version date is "20th October 2013". I read this from the help menu: added Custom Sort options, edit custom_sort_(N).txt files,
    channels will be generated in a user managed channel order.


    Not really bothered how I achieve it - but I would like to create my own bouquet that's updated by Autobouquets when the frequencies change. How can I do that?

    I would like to use Autobouquets because it automatically updates the frequencies of channels so I don't lose a picture when the frequency changes. I've installed it via the LinuxSatSupport Addon. What do I do now? Does anyone have a short guide for how to use it please?



    I did these steps:



    1. Perform a scan on 28.2e satellite so that you have the latest lamedb service file for 28.2 east.


    2. Zap to an active channel on 28.2e so that we can get reader to read the bouquet data from the stream.


    3. Now it's time to select AutoBouquets E2 plugin from the plugins menu and choose your nearest localized region. You can do that by pressing Menu. Under "Local Area Selection" select London HD.


    I can see the bouquets. Will the bouquets just update the channel frequencies automatically from now on as I don't see a place that shows what time of day every day that they'll be updated on.


    I read that you can create a customized bouquet from Autobouquets that will still have it's frequencies updated by Autobouquets. How can I do that?

  • FTP Speed drops randomly

    I've connected my VU+ Duo 2 to my Gigabit ethernet switch box which is connected to my PC. I'm using THESE brand new Cat 6 cables.


    The transfer speed via FTP to my PC is usually around 50 MB/s. However at random usually every week or so, it drops to 11 MB/s. To fix the issue I have to disconnect and re-connect the cables again which makes no sense as the cables were already securely fitted - they click into place.


    The cables have good reviews so I don't think it's the cables that are the problem.


    Do any of you guys have this problem and can you help.

    I tried to install the latest oscam version (Oscam 9185 - CCcam 2.1.3) using the LinuxsatSupportAddons plugin but on the download page it said failed to download. In the meantime I installed "Oscam rev 8784 - CCCam 2.1.3 Omnikey" and that installed fine.

    That doesn't make sense because I've already paired my card with my Sly Thompson Component box which is what you're supposed to do in order to get a picture on the VU+ box. So why would putting the card in the Thompson box that it's already paired with, cause me to lose a picture?


    I'm using Blackhole 2.0.8 on my VU+ Duo2. I installed "Oscam rev 8639 + CCcam 2.1.3" using the LinuxsatSupportAddons plugin.

    Why would putting my Sly card in my Sly box cause me issues on my VU+ Duo 2? Does anybody have a solution to prevent losing a picture?

    Is one reboot per day not enough?

    I don't understand.


    In Addons Manager > Blackhole Settings > I installed the following channel list: Catseye E2 Settings 28.2E. In the Favourites menu I browsed through the channels installed then added some of them to my own Favourites list called "MyFavs".


    So basically Autobouquets will update the frequencies of the channels on the Catseye channel list I installed however it won't update my "MyFavs" bouquet. Is that correct?


    So how do I know when the frequencies change then so I can re-add the autobouquet updated channels to "MyFavs" bouquet?
