yes i know it shouldn get affected,i simply plugged out ariel from the back of tv to put in other ariel i was testing,as soon as i took it out of tv the picture just frooze,the picture from vuduo ,which was on astra ,so i checked hotbird and that was fine.i plugged ariel back in and picture returns.simples

sorry,ya just stops recieving signal.but only on astra.iv astra on tuner 1 and hot bird on tuner 2,which dont get affected

hey ppl.just another curious silly question,was checking out an ariel the other day{soarview},when i disconnected the existing ariel from tv,my vu duo stoppped working,cant understand why,just to give ye an idea of my setup.theres 2 tvs connected to saorview booster,then theres 2 tvs on sat,everythings on individual cables ,no digitizers, splitters etc.anybody any logical reason why 1 would effect the other,cheers lads,n ladies

short and sweet ,can saorview be recieved by tuners on vu models.

thinks this may spell the end for football as we know it.back to the days of londoners playing for london clubs and mancurians playing for united,and outcasts from the oil rigs playing for city.lol

cheers mate that seemed to work a treat,wpuld love to know what happened in the first place,i cant understand how the osd settings just disappeared,or even how the box turned on in the first place,any way thanks again lads,

hey guys,before i went to bed last nite i put vu duo on standby,got up dis morning and and noticed it was on ,switched on tv and cud hardly see anything on the screen,it looks like its on a lower mode than 1080,absolutley ridiculous,even when your looking at the menu or epg its all jumping all over the screen,went into av settings everything is as normal in there,ie. on hdmi ,on 1080,now if i try to change any of these values i get black screen of death,also noticed the osd had reset so went into osd settings to readjust this only to find nothing in the menu,completely gone.any body got any ideas or any similiar experiences,would be most greatful as to even look at the screen is eye hurting,cheers miltownman

ps.have just noticed now that sound is also gone,wata balls,if i have to reflash this again my missus is gona stick the usb ,well lets just say somewere it wont work

download from the openbox channel list on this forum,unzip usin winrar,transfer to usb key,insert usb into box ,menu,tools ,upgrade by usb,change to misc. files,look for TP.PROG i think,select this so as theres a tick beside it ,then yellow for upgrade ,once done reboot ,

how come wen i loaded this all der was der was fav1
fav2
fav3 etc.etc, and channels all over the place,tried 2 different channel list got same thing on both???/

ok cheers mate will try dat,just 1 thing is there a bootloader to go with that also,i didn see 1 on the thread for it

ya updating tru vix panel on box,using vix 2.3 as released in november by phoenixusing same bootloader dat accompanied it,im just gona leave it til it crashes again ,,cause iv no doubt it will,,,thanks again for the help and support

when you say 'software update' are you talking about updating Vix to the latest version from within the panel? Your profile says you're using Vix 2...what version have you loaded? (2.3 came out on Christmas day!)

I can't see you having problems if you never upgrade again...latest software will bring bug and stability fixes as well as new features but you could say 'if it ain't broke...don't fix it'!!

spent most of the day yesterday fiddling with da thing every time i got same results,everything works perfect until i do software update,then it just wont restart,iv it al setup again now without updating software so just gona leave it.dya think il be facing problems down the line if my software aint up to date....

wud der ever be sum kind of bug in software updates,started from scratch again reflashed no problem used wizard tru the steps,perfect,until again i went into software updates and now im back to to square 1 ,not getting past the starting screen upon reboot.really hope ders no major damage done

im using same image as i downloaded in first place,just noticed der now that wen i try to configure tuner b in also crashes ,and also when i tried to restore settingd id backed up on vucc it said folder empty,wtf.i only backed it up 2 days ago after customizing.ya the updates wer tru vix on the vu on 2.3.

sorry mate,in first place i done software update,dats wen system failed,i actually ment bootloader wen i say updater,dat issue is sorted thankfully ,but if u look below iv opened a whole new can of worms

if its image ,this can happen if it didnt 100% reflash .so you need to unplug system then start all over again..

so i managed the reflash,resuts aint good.now for some reason it wont recognise the tuners,when i go into tuner config.system crashes,wen i press blue.for extensions system crashes wen i press epg system crashes,i didn have these issues all along with same image,does anybody have ne idea wats goin on before vu meets concrete,please,very stressed miltownman
