sorted thanks peeps! - Turns out the latest unstable version of oscam is very unstable :-)

Ok just put a second box in for the missus (blade 7000) added to lan along with my VU+ Duo, when both boxes are on the same channel one box gets kicked off with error tcp_conn_close , if both are on different channels they are fine? Is it something simple?

Looks like im gonna have to try this one on my own :-)

ok i have agreed a c-line to use for s*tanta ireland but the line includes the full sly package , i want to add a reader to my oscam server to read only the s*tanta ID? so i assume it would look like this:

Then if me or my dad / sis etc want setanta on sat it will use the 2nd reader .

However , how do i get the server to cache so that i send very few EMM requests if we are all watching the sat footie at 3pm? can i add emmcache= to a remote reader line?

smargo works really well with oscam , down to 69ms now!

Turned out to be dodgy copied smargo was the issue!!!!

Had 1.4 , looks like it was a fake aswell , windows oscam had same problem so to be honest if I cant set either servers up i need shooting:

So when the new readers turn up tomorrow if they dont work im ordering a gun :-)

Think I may setup OSCAM on my duo to read the card in the local slot as ANOTHER backup LOL

Just ordered an ORIGINAL Smargo :-) and an omnikey 3121, am not going to be caught short for a tenna!

omneykey 3121 , sounds good! , ebay here we come, any better models or are they all the same?

I am really starting to go with a faulty smargo???? Cant see what else it could be?

That's cheap we pay 30+ vat for tplink! Very good deal!

Personally if the response times on windows oscam is the same as debian , debian is getting binned! For general ease of use and access the windows version is brilliant....

the 127.0.0.1 is just a sort of loop back to its own local host, for n lines it would be the actual address of your pc so : 192.168.0.x , or if you unplug your debian then you could just set your pc to the same ip and wouldnt have to change anything on the boxes! if you keep your oscam files mirrored on both machines its literally just a case of change PC ip address to linux server ip address , move cards and off you go :-)

ubuntu server 10.04 x86 reinstalled, about to try automated script for oscam / ccam install!

Windows Oscam setup and Smargo detected - will try card later at home! - Surly this is a good fallback if u can just unplug smargo and lob into ur PC?

popped it back in and it cleared *** 1 , sports etc ok, really strange!

new2 no im having a nightmare lol! , rebuilt server , put configs in (new setup) and oscam server sticks on :

then goes no further!

just sits there, cant log in through webif

Also setup windows server (far easier to use BTW) and all works fine except smargo reader detection!:
