Hi, I'm sorting out 3 of these for my mate at work who is planning on using them at his home in all the bedrooms. He purchased them directly from China for around $100 each including delivery, and they turned up in 3 days!
However the ones he got are called Cloud I-Box's. Other than that they are excatly the same.

I have been fiddling with them for around 3 days now. They were shipped with Openpli, but i wiped that and flashed it with the VU Solo VIX image from the VIX site.
They worked perfectly well with the sly auto boquets, cccam etc etc.
I turned them off and put them away.

However, I opened one again and turned it on, and nothing! Just stuck on the Loading page with the VIX logo spinning in the corner. I tested them all, and the same with all 3 of them. :(
After researching the world wide web, i realised i had to download the clone version of the VIX image which is used on the clone VU Solo boxes... :)

All working well now.

I'm personally not into clones etc, and truly beleive in "you get what you pay for". And these things run VER HOT! after some usage they will probably start freezing. I suppose they are OK in a bedroom environment but not somewhere where they will be used constantly.

You could, if you were a little techie, take off the bottom cover and fit a small PC fan in to keep the heat sink cool...

I do love the remote though, and these are better that than the F3, F5 etc.

I have exchanging CLines for a few weeks now... and all is fine.

Up till today when someone asked me for my NLINE... remember reading somewhere that this is not a good idea.
I've tried to look for the thread and cant find it. :(

Could someone shed some light on this please?

This is the exact message i got from the chap wanting my NLINE including his poor spelling. :)

BTW, i know Cline = Connections; FLine = Friends
what does the N stand for in NLINE?

When I copy the Connections from server1 over to Server2, can both servers run at the same time or will the Clines I have received stop working because they are being used twice?

The normal process would be for eg..

cccam port on Server1 4444

C: mydns.dyndns.com 4445 Friend1STB password

This will ensure that if Server1 goes down, you will be able to fall back on your peers in Server2 until Server1 is sorted.

That sounds like exactly what I want to do...
I have managed to change port numbers, but am having difficulty with the N:line side of things. Could you break it down for me please?

Server1 currently has my card in it and the nline i have for it is:
<local ip address> 10000 <username> <pswd> 01.....256

Server2 has a very similar Nline...just with a different ip address

any help pls... :)

You could use 2nd as backup if needed....give it a different static IP > copy lines over > if it goes down change the IP from server1 to server2....but bare in mind if your server went down due to internet both will go down obviously!

But when setup correctly its the user playing that normally messes it up!...save any updates till midnight and you should be ok! nowadays i go weeks without looking at my server...and the dust on the keyboard tells you how many time ive restarted it lol!

Get your setup sorted and apart from dodgy internet firm, power cut or end of the world all should be cushty!

For me this stuff is pure hobby. :) I'm hoping for the rest of the people here too.

I only do it coz i wana see it work, thats it. lol, sad i know. But once its all up and running, its boring, if you know what I mean. hahahaha.

As a PROPER geek, i have 2 x broadband lines, virgin and BT. :) so 1 will be running from 1 provider and 1 from the other...

I am in the process of copying lines over from server to the other, and most of them work as they should, but I have just come across 1, it's a NLine, and once copied over to the fresh server, i'm not getting anything on my TV.
Now before I go and # his line out of my server, I just want to make sure I have set it up correctly.
What am i to do with his N: line?

Any advice people?

Hi guys,
My Ubuntu server is working very well, thanks to many chaps and chapeeses on this site. :)
A small injury left me sick for the last for week at home, and while i was REALLY bored, i decided to build another server from a basic machine that was lying around.
It's an exact replica of the original CCcam/Oscam running on Ubuntu 12.04.
I only have 1 sly card and reader which are sitting happily in my original box.

I have tested the 2nd server with a simple CLine which i copied from the 1st server and all is working well.

I'm wondering how I can really use this server to take the load of the 1st one? (Not that 5 users is much load, :))
Do i just copy all the CLine's from the 1st server and put em in this one, and hand out a 2nd cline to my family, so when/if the 1st server goes down, the 2nd line carries on?

Much appreciated for your advice.

I'm very new to this Ubuntu server stuff.
I have recently, with extreme difficulty managed to exchange a line. :)
The chap was very helpful and walked me through it, as it wasn't working as expected.

He asked me what setup I was running, and I said CCCAM/Oscam.
He said "pls don't Oscam my line, or I'll have to remove yours"

What does that mean?
I have given Clines out and would like to know if someone has Oscam'd my line?

But what i was wondering, do i have to add individual lines to my VU+ box?
Can i not make 1 MASTER Cline which will include ALL other C,Nlines from my Server?

I'm sorry if this sounds confusing...

Currently my config file on my Ubuntu server looks like this

then each of these lines have corresponding Clines which are used in my VU boxes.

I was wondering isnt there a way that these lines can be consolidated into one line, somehow? So if i get another C or N line i just have to update the server and not worry about updating having to create another Cline for my VU boxes.

Hi guys,
I have accumulated many clines and 1 nline from peers.

As you can imagine my cccam.cfg on my server looks complicated/messy.

For example, I have 1 cline which gives me access to certain chanels and another line that gives me access to other channels.
Now if i want to re-share these lines with my VU+ solo2 and Vu+ duo, how can i do this by only inserting 1 cline into boxes which will link to both lines on the server?

I hope the question makes sense...

Thanks for the advice.
I have been monitoring this chaps ECM via CS Studio (i hope I got the right software?) and comparing it to the 3 others. His ECM has come in at 22288. and he always seems to be watching Boomerang+1 or National Geographic UK. :)
Does that mean anything?

I just hope he isnt using my card for dodgy income.

the nline he gave me, i configured it like this on my Ubuntu to view on my VU Solo2...

Ubuntu Server cccam.cfg:
N: HISIPADDRESS HISport# user pass 01.......14
F: user pass 2 0 0 HISport# 2 0 0 {0:0:1} {} {}

cccam.cfg on my VUsolo2
C: myipaddress myport# user name and pass he provided

It's working as expected, just want to make sure the config is correct.

I have done my 1st line exchange. The guy gave me his NLine for my Cline.

The question is, what do I do with NLine?
I have a Ubuntu server setup, do I enter the Nline in the cccam.cfg file on he server, and create a f:line then give myself a c:line or enter it directly into my receiver?

Hi, just popped my Sly card in the SLY HD box to receive my movies entitlement.
BAck in the cccam/OSCAM card reader, everything working fine.

Entitlments to expire end of June...
will need to set up AU by then...
any help anyone?
