Thanks Ten Below!
Milhamu it's the same card I had for years, same card that worked with CCcam 2.1.3 for years, then all of a sudden this error kept happening again and again and again!
Changed versions and finally solid again (at long last!)

HI musogeek and many thanks for your detailed post, but unfortunately I think everything you have advised to do, I already have, but it's the reader section that I've trying to figure out. I can confirm as mentioned above all sensitive details (such as port) has been replaced.
Things I have working just fine...
1. Oscam reading my local
2. Oscam connected to CCcam via nline
3. CCcam connected peers server/clients
So in summary everything is working at present with OScam linked to separate CCcam, however I'd like to get rid of separate CCcam and have everything running within OScam, but that there is where the problem is.
All I'm trying to do at present is instead of using separate CCcam to read clines, I'd like to have OScam use them instead. I believe 'cline' server details need to be entered as 'reader' within Oscam which I've done, but nothing clears...

Does this reader (which is peer's server) require a separate cline in my home receiver? Surely each reader shouldn't then require a separate cline to connect to my server?
I'm very unclear with regards to 'groups' and what should/needs to go where, which probably isn't helping matters.
Still need help getting this working please, anyone? I'm sure it must be a simple process for those that know how?
I still haven't got this working. Can anyone see from my config what the problem might be please? I'm sure it's a simple error for those in the know. As above I already have a nline in cccam.cfg in AZBox, but that's all. Do I need to add another nline or cline for AZBox?
Hello
Everytime I visit this forum recently, it's very slow and often times out, of gives 'data base' error? Anyone else having these problems. I use chrome but have tested with other browser with same results. Connected fine and everything else running ok.
Thank you
I have another question please. I've seen that other peoples oscam.server config for JSC viaaccess has 'device = /dev/sci0' but mine is current 'device = 0'. Should I chance it to the former?
I can see peers shares just fine in OScam.
I'm not sure how to check reshare with OScam? I take it I should see log within main page of webif? I see log requests for my local when I view that, but nothing when I'm trying to clear peer's local.
Sorry I'm still very new to OScam, and only reason I've made the switch is this. Problems like my company. :beated:
Speaking of which, are any of you experiencing problems with this forum? I keep getting redirect 'database error'?
[EDIT] I can confirm peer's local is working and reachable when I test in separate CCcam if that's what you mean?
Hello
I have this ongoing problem that is driving me nuts. CCcam keeps crashing and resetting due to 'stack smashing detected' and for the life of me, I cannot resolve it. I wish CCcam had a face I could punch! I would call it nasty names too!
My Debian server was running perfectly for a long time, then all of a sudden I started to get this error. I have searched high and low, but no one seems to know how to fix it. I know it's something to do with my (only) local JSC, as if I remove that, CCcam does not crash, and so suspected smargo reader. Here's what I've tried since...
1. Re-installed server.
2. New smargo. Tried various different settings, re-installed drivers etc.
3. Re-installed server with latest Debian.
4. Various different version of CCcam.
5. Re-installed on different PC.
6. Purchased Omikey, re-installed server, this time running OScam + CCcam.
7. Ruled out any possible bad peers.
...but problem STILL persists.
I am currently trying to figure out how to use OScam own CCcam protocol, so can bypass having to use separate CCcam, which may or may not solve the problem, but as I understand it OScam's own CCcam isn't without problems.
Here is check.log....

I've only needed one group up until now, don't really understand the group relation yet, so perhaps that's the problem? Do I need to create another user for each reader?
I've since tried using OScam's CCCam protocal instead of newcamd, but still cannot get peer's local to clear, but at least my local is now showing as local, not hop 10.
Any advice where I am going wrong here please?
I'm probably getting the TBS6922, so will loop out of AZBox in living room to TBS6925 upstairs, so would this be ok? I know from looping between AZBox (master) and TM9101, both can control motor (subject to AZBox in standby when using TM9101). Any reason why TBS6925 shouldn't be able to control motor with AZBox on standby?
Do you guys think this would work OK or will there be signal lost? If so, how about a two way F splitter/patch cable to motor?
Hello
I'm currently running an OScam server + CCCam. At the moment OScam simply acts as reader for local, but as CCCam continues to behave badly, I'd like to make a complete switch to OScam.
I'm trying to add a server as 'reader' within OScam, and while everything looks ok, and Webif shows I am connected to peer server, nothing is clearing. I'm using AZBox to test, running CCCam, which has one nline connected to Oscam. My local clears (all be it at hop 10?!), but nothing clears from peer server.
Here is reader config, I have of course replaced sensitive details.

Many thanks musogeek!
Whitelist has been updated. The following includes hex for channels across all satellites...
Can you explained the difference between blocking all emm and the whitelist please? Do they not do the same thing? If so then I understand why you would only use one, but if they do offer different protection, is it not wise to use both? I understand some people don't like to as the hex can often change, with means having to update whitelist constantly, but better to be safe than sorry no?
Also I'm still a little puzzled with regards to the difference between 'ecmwhitelist' within oscam.server (which I have as above) and the separate oscam.whitelist file (which I do not currently have)?
Damn it! And I thought it would be so easy! Are there not any motors available that have twin inputs/outputs? The extra arms sounds like a good idea, but I can almost already feel the headaches in setting this up! I'll only be using one STB at any one time, but will need each to be able to drive the motor. I don't fancy faffing about having to control motor with one STB just to view on another. As such looks like I will have to loop and run cable from living to upstairs. Damn cables, I was hoping to get rid of some, but now looks like I'll be adding more! Grrrr.

Hello
I currently have a 1.2M Trixa motorized dish with a single LNB (not sure of model). I need to replace this with a twin LNB, but wondering which one to get? The Inverto Black Ultra 0.2dB looks good, but wondering if there are any others I should consider?
I imagined to fit it, it would be a simple case of swapping out old for new, but then of course I wasn't factoring in the extra coaxial cable! The current one feeds to the motor and then out again via loop. Do I take it then that the additional coaxial from twin LNB should be feed directly to my second STB? But this causes another problem as I then won't be able to move the dish using second STB. Is it not possible to have twin LNB going to separate STB, but still allow both STB to control satellite position?
Thank you
Haha! Epix! Well done byemjj! :)
I'm back! :)
It's now time for me to update. Judging by stevejo's last post, I assume I update as normal, but I just want to double check. I normally do this by inserting my card back into my trusty TM9101, but I'm just wondering if there are any precautions I need to take this time please?
Also on which sat are you guys clearing +1 to +8? I've tried 26E and while I can clear JSC Sport 1, I get no signal for the rest of the channels. Double checked freq etc and all appear OK.
JSC +1 to +5 26.0E 12380.00 H 27500 3/4
JSC +6 to +10 26.0E 12341.00 H 27500 3/4
Are these freq correct please?
UPDATE 8th Sept: Today I've been learning about oscam's 'whitelists' and 'blockingemm' options. I learnt about whitelists here and then found the most recent JSC whitelist from oscam wiki. I know that I should create my own but at present I can't as card needs new entitlements, so for now will use these...
Quotel:0500:042400::::2F,34,52,57,73,78,7D
Problem is that if I enter this via Oscam Webif 'Readers', after I save, the ECM whitelist is converted to...
QuoteFFFF:FFFFFFFF;FFFF:34;FFFF:52;FFFF:57;FFFF:73;FFFF:78;FFFF:7D
...which of course doesn't look right. I'm thinking then that perhaps there should be a separate file for whitelists? I've read the wiki guides but still very unclear.
SUMMARY:
In summary then, please can someone explain the following.
1. Safest way to update entitlements?
2. Can UK users confirm if they are clearing +5 to +8 on 26e? If not where are you clearing these channels?
3. Currently only have 7.0W satellite postion in STB, Eutelsat 7 is grouped within this. Should I add a 7.3 position for Eutelsat 7? Will this make a difference in clearing JSC?
4. Should there be two entries for whitelists? One separate file, and then a second entry for oscam.conf?
5. Via Oscam Webfi 'readers', should I block all emm such as 'unknown, unique, shared & global'?
Please can someone help answer this questions, even if you are only able to answer one or the other. I really want to avoid purchasing new subscription only for it to get blocked shortly after.
Thank you
if your reader is in oscam that is all you need to do bud
It's as easy as 1,2, 3! :)
Is that all I really need to do then? When it comes to updating entitlements, I normally use my old (but trusty) TM9101 to update. Can I still do this as normal or should I update some other way? Is it still recommended to block all emm's and add white list (although not not sure how to do this)?
Thank you
Hi stevejo and thanks for your help.
I do have viaacess card, running Debian server with Oscam/Omikey to cccam.
Using Oscam webif, via readers I've check marked the AU disabled box. Is this all I need to do or do I need to edit ccam.cfg too?
Hello
I will be renewing my card soon, but looking at the terms and conditions, I've noticed something that I don't think was there before, no doubt due to new footy rights.

3*Orders & Use.
3.2- If you are using your card for Sharing system , then it will be Freezed , for this situation your card is not guaranteed and we can't reactive it , because aljazeera using a tracking system it can knows how dose the card works and if it was working by normal decoder or for sharing .
3.3- if you contact aljazeera by email or phone and inform that you are using your card outside the arab country then your card will be freezed
3.4- if you use your card for public view , like restaurant , bar , hotel ,,,, it will be Freezed . this card for home use Only
3.5- any card has been Freezed by al jazeera , then we will can't active it , replace it , or issue a refund
3.6- If you order wrong card type , and it been active we can't return it back , you must be sure what card type your decoder are accept , there is 2 types of cards ( I***** ) and ( Viaccess ) ,
3.7 Never use your card or insert it in decoder while your decoder connected with the internet , because it will send signal to aljazeera system that you are using your card for sharing . then it will be Freezed.
Note : when your card stop working , you must contact us . if we found it been Freezed , then we can't help you anymore . and you will need to buy a new card .
So my question is how to continue to use this card without it being disabled please? A few suggestions I've read is to block all emm's and add white list, but no idea how to do this? Also suggested to connect oscam to oscam to peers, but again no idea how to do this?
Thank you
