so i guess you have tried to re flash a few times? other posts elsewhere
say it has worked after a few attempts with the same problem as yours.
will the box not clear if you hold the button under the front flap
and keep it pressed when you turn on at the rear switch.

i have read elsewhere this problem has been sorted
by bullying the box, and to do that you put a image
on a usb stick and keep flashing the image until it clears
the problem this can take a few goes before the box boots up
again, it is said it has take as many as five or six times before
the box clears. i have never had a problem with my duo2 but
it could be worth a try to see if this clears the problem

vu models can be a bit tetchy on which usb stick they like.
has it worked previously on that box? have you formatted it?
i use a HP USB Disk Storage Format Tool that i downloaded free
and this works first class on all usb sticks, have you anouther stick
and see if that works, i found all the vu boxes iv'e used all work with
    the sandisk usb stick

if the box was set up and working before your move
have you tried first to re start the cam your using to
see if that gets the chns open, if that does,nt work try
checking the cam config, also if you use the cccam, try
typing your box ip in your browser as the example

check the panel for info and if it shows any cards

new boxes are more of how much you want to spend
and do you need a single tuner ,or a twin tuner also
some models have provision to change tuners and others
have sat and cable tuners fitted, technomate have a good
selection linux new models now and the prices are good
as for hd unless you have a official box and subscription
the hd chns on 28e and 13e for one provider cant be opened
but there are still lots of hd chns available on most satellites
with a motorised dish, and advice on which box to go for is
your choice on the spec, make, style and price also cccams
can be used on all linux boxes, i think everyone will have
a opinion on what the best box is only you know what you expect from it

as far as i'm aware they will also renew all the coax cables
if you want to use more than one box ask if it's not fitted as
standard for a twin or a quad lnb, but if your get a subscription
from them why dont you use a motorised dish for the vu box.
with a twin tuner you can have tuner A set for the motorised dish
and tuner B connected to the mini dish and get the best of everything.

you use a dreambox control center and dreambox edit
you can add lines by the remote but not by usb
i have sent you a pm on how to do it, i dont want to
post again on the forum as i'm sure the info has already
    been posted for other members

hi there pls i have a dr hd15 box and it keeps freezing .pls whats the solution. thanks

    **************************************
have you got the latest D15_138p firmware on it?
or is it just certain chns that are glitching and freezing

iv'e had both models and as for picture audio etc:
they are like every other vu model great receivers
if you just want a single tuner for viewing satellite tv
then i would say try a zero the quality on these boxes
are great quality and at about £100 notes super value

i know you can watch a program and record a different program
on a different channel on the same satellite. or do you mean you
want to watch different channels on a tv in anouther room ?, to do
this i think will need to use a twin lnb and anouther box. but if i'm
wrong someone will tell you if it's possible

sorry for silly question but im going to order one tomorrow have seen one from the back tunner a has 2 lnb inputs what that mean and the other had the cable tunner but the a tunner has 2 lnb connections what the 2 for or is it if 1 not work other might cheers

it means it has a twin tuner for satellite
i use mine with tuner A on the motorised dish
and tuner B on a fixed mini dish for 28e, you
can add extra tuners so if you want cable then
you can buy a cable tuner they are very easy to fit etc:

ok just removed the old.. and installed the 2.3.0 as suggested. went back and changed the cfg file and restarted.. yet still getting nothing. no ecm info for the record im running blackhole 2.11

if your doing it this way the cams will load and you will see and be able to change
cams if you load more than one cam

first you need to download the correct cccams packs for the blackhole images
you just transfer the cccam or ccams that you want to the tmp folder with your
DCC panel,:-- open the dcc and click ftp then in the left hand window find and
double left clicking the tmp folder to open it, then using the arrows between
the windows sent the cam packs to the tmp folder, then close the dcc next go to
the VU and with the remote press green then yellow then on the second line down
manual install bh packages>ok now you can see all the cams you sent to the box
with the dcc now just click>ok on each of them in turn and follow the on screen info
until you have installed one or all of them, and when the manual install panel is empty.
exit the menu and re boot the box and then when it re boots, press the blue button and
using the buttons on either side of the OK BUTTON on the remote you can select the cccam
and if you have installed more than one cam you can change to cam you want to use

if you have the tspanel installed you can get cccams from
the vu section in the ts panel menu, and follow the on screen
info to install it,as for which is the best cam, i would think most
versions will work. i use the 221 others prefer 230 as for editing the
cfg file you do that in the etc folder where the cfg is located on the bh image
and you do press blue to select the cam and start it.

this is my way with blackhole images

    manually install BH cams

HOW TO ADD C-LINES ON A VU OR DREAMBOX
    ---------------------------
first you need to load a DCC panel on your computer
and open and run the application, when open the DCC panel
it must be set to show a connection on the panel between
the computer- sat receiver-router to get this your put a dot
in the router in the connection box at the top left of the
dcc loader panel, when you have this connection you will see
on the panel all the equipment joined by a green line to all
three items. the panel will now work with your vu sat box,
after you send the shortcut icon to the desktop to open this
panel, you can now close it down, until it's needed
    -------------------------------------------------------
next you need the notepad that has you c-line or line on
your desktop.where you open the notepad and highlight the
c-line or lines by scrolling the mouse pointer over the line/lines

c-lines look like this made up example---------------

    [c:nutter.no-ip.com 57000 rupert ax1256gh]

then when highlighted you right click the mouse and from the
small panel that opens left click copy, now you can close the note pad
and open the DCC again, when it all connects again
you left click FTP from the list on the left then the panel changes
then in the left panel scroll down until you find a folder named ETC
you then double left click this folder to open it,once open
you scroll down the files until you find a file named CCcam cfg
on this file you right click the mouse and from the panel choose EDIT
this will open this file next you scroll down to the bottom of the file
and leave a couple of lines blank under the script on this file
now you left click the mouse on the chosen line where you will see a
vertical line appear.then if you look at the top of this cfg file you
will see on the left hand side a row of 6 small boxes one with scissors
counting from the left hand box on this row you left click on the fourth
box a long [paste] now you will see the c-line or lines you have added appear
in the CCcam cnf file, next you must left click the left hand box on this row
this is the SAVE and exit button, once this has been done a small panel opens
asking are you sure as a change has been made click [YES] and then close the
DCC panel down now the channels will open. JOB DONE

this is a warning please be very carefull

NEVER CHANGE ANYTHING ELSE ON THE VU FILES SYSTEM
UNLESS YOU KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING OR THE BOX WILL GREEN SCREEN
AND CRASH, IN CERTAIN CASES THIS CAN DAMAGE THE BOX, AND IN
MOST CASES IT WILL MEAN THE RECEIVER NEEDS TO BE RE-IMAGED
AND THIS CAN BE A VERY LONG PROCESS IF YOU DONT HAVE ALL YOUR
FILES LIKE/ CHN LIST/CAM PACKS/ cccam CFG FILES ETC:on your computer
