Replace the dns part with your server ip address as you don't need a dns if your server is located within the same network as your client receiver (your server's ip shouldn't change within your lan if you've set it a static ip within your router as per tutorial)
Leaving it as is means your client receiver has to venture outside your network to your dns provider then is redirected back into your network and some routers are flakey when this happens. (some don't support it, it's called nat loopback and may be disabled as default from within your router)
So change your line on internal receiver to this option (fill in the blanks as required)
N: 192.168.x.x 10010 test1 ***** 01 02 03 04 05 06.......14
Replace in red with your server's ip. -
The line you use within your own network, are you using a dns or the server ip? EG:
N: my.dns.com 1001 test1 ***** 01 02 03 04 05 06.......14
Or
N: 192.168.x.x 10010 test1 ***** 01 02 03 04 05 06.......14Also, what emu are you using on your problem receiver?
You can remove totally the dvbapi section as it's not needed on a pc server (unless you also have a tuner installed on pc and want to use it to watch tv)
Looks like you haven't a local card setup, only using a proxy, does your peer understand what your trying to do as he can see it on his server.

Have you tried to remove the server plugins/addons from your blackhole image?
Think it's called mediatomb (UPnP) or minidlna
Backup your image first though as it may break something if they are removed (never tried it myself)
You probably won't have access to your hdd from any device on your network afterwards though (may also disable tuner server if you have it set up) -
Why not try a backup image first, easy way of seeing what you like.
Duo2 backup images can be found here:
http://linuxsat-support.com/fo…605-Vu-DUO2-Backup-Images -
I use Vix mainly but that's a personal choice.
All images do more or less the same thing. -
May need rebooting, if it doesn't work, see can you ftp into it and there may be an image backup or settings backup in media/hdd or media/usb (some images backup before performing updates, but not sure about obh)
It could be called "image backups" or a folder "vuplus" or something along those lines.
You could then reflash the backup (after dragging it from receiver and loading it onto a usb key) or if it's a settings backup, flash the base image again and perform a settings restore. -
It should be in the description (100x60) (220x132) are the sizes.
Not too sure about what skin is best to be honest as I don't really use blackhole.
I did like the MX_Adriatic Blue skin but that's a matter of preference really.
Try a few and see what takes your fancy. -
When the plugin is open, scroll down to the second page (think there are 3 pages in total) , your looking for the "picon" icon.

hit "ok" on your remote then scroll to the desired set/satellite.
It then should kick off the installation process. -
Post up your server configs (hash out any sensitive info) relevant to the account which keeps disconnecting and we'll see what the issue is.
Also include the image, emu and/or config on the problem "client" receiver (it'll give us a better understanding of the issue) -
Easiest way would be to install our addons panel and you'll be able to download picons directly to your receiver from it.
Linuxsat panel can be found here:
http://linuxsat-support.com/sh…php/112243-Linuxsat-Panel
Other than that, you can download your desired picon package, extract it out and send the entire folder (named "picon") to either the root of your receiver (or usr/share/enigma2) or root of attached storage (usb/hdd etc). -
You could give this one a go (haven't tried it myself though)

Have a look here:

Try changing to a different skin on your receiver (try vix default skin first to see if it will appear normal size, keep away from hd or fhd skins as it looks like the plugin is not skinned for those resolutions at the moment)

Or try the latest movie browser plugin :

Sab titan looks the better of the two but you'd be better off (in my opinion) going for a linux combo receiver.
With that, you'll get the full epg for both satellite and terrestrial as opposed to just now and next on satellite (28.2) on both the ariva and sab.
As regarding difficulty of using a linux receiver over the two you mentioned, it will be different but not daunting and will have a far superior osd / gui than the ariva or sab.
There will be vastly more plugins than the few your limited to with either the sab or ariva.
Channel list (bouquets) and epg (program guide) can be updated also from the net/satellite.
I have the edision os-mini combo, and find it a very capable receiver and it won't break the bank (about €35 more expensive than sab)QuotePS - what does Patched firmwares give a box?
Patched firmware normally gives you access to cams/emulators ,which aren't included in the standard firmware
It may also give you access to some extra plugins that wouldn't be suitable for the younger/prudish . -
This is normal.
It's basically a cccam wiki/ operating parameters tutorial.
You can delete it if you wish (any line in cccam starting with "#" is automatically ignored by cccam, hence all the # at the start of every line) -
Are they the same make/model.
Have they the same mac address.
If so, this thread may be helpful.
http://linuxsat-support.com/showthread.php/32309 -
Use "Allcode and bootloader", and yes, there is a usb dump/backup to usb for channels.
-
You'll be able to watch the free to air channels, as for decrypting some channels without a card or share, this is not possible on astra 28.2 (main satellite serving UK needs).
There are however some other channels on some other satellites that can be viewed with the aid of keys.
If those interest you, a motorized satellite dish setup is probably the best route to go down as not all are located on the one satellite.
This thread will give you an idea of what opens with keys and on which satellites.

As for iptv, that's a whole other story as it isn't received from satellite, only streamed from the internet.
