There two types of backups, Image backup and settings backup.
I'd recommend creating both.
An image backup is handy if everything goes wrong and you just want to revert back to your previous working image.
A settings backup just backups your settings/configs etc.
This is handy if you want to upgrade your image but want all your previous settings reloaded onto your new image.
A good tutorial on how to perform an image backup is here.
A settings backup is near identical.

Does it complete the flashing of the original firmware?

You could try an older original firmware from here:

No idea how it compares but the "f" is for feedhorn.
QuoteWith the launch of the first DTH broadcast satellite in Europe (Astra 1A) by SES in 1988, antenna design was simplified for the anticipated mass-market. In particular, the feedhorn (which gathers the signal and directs it to the LNB) and the polarizer (which selects between differently polarized signals) were combined with the LNB itself into a single unit, called an LNB-feed or LNB-feedhorn (LNBF), or even an "Astra type" LNB. The prevalence of these combined units has meant that today the term LNB is commonly used to refer to all antenna units that provide the block-downconversion function, with or without a feedhorn.

Either wrong firmware / channel list or a bad flash will cause this error.
To fix it, you'll need an rs232 null modem cable (You may be able to get an rs232 to 3.5 null modem cable as your 52e doesn't have an rs232 port on the rear, only a 3.5 jack as far as I know)
Google will help here.
Looks something like this:

Then download the erom upgrade tool and official firmware which can be got from here:Quote
Lastly, follow this guide -
It's all in post #6 by master G.
Press "menu" button on your remote.
Scroll to plugins.
Press "ok" on remote
then press "green button " on remote.
This will download a preview of plugins from the image feeds (vix in this case)
Scroll down to "softcams" and press ok.
Then select the emulator of choice.
The emulators that you download from these feeds will not have any configs.
In order to get configs for the emulators, click on the other links that master G provided.
The last link contains a tutorial on how to install these configs (ipk file)

If you have the images, you can use vu+ toolbox to convert them to .mvi and send them to your receiver.
Download VU+ toolbox here
Open Xorion BootlogoMatik
Click on " Add bootlogo" (bootlogo wait/backdrop etc)
Search for your preferred image.
Select your preferred resolution (this depends on the quality of the image you want to use)
Click "convert to .mvi"
Stick in your receivers ip and password (user is normally root)
Click "Send Converted Logo(S)"
Job done.
Reboot receiver to see results on your tv. -
Your router will probably assign a new ip for the wetek also.
I'd recommend logging onto it to see what it is and changing it to a static ip so it won't change.
That way, you'll always be able to see your webif from the same assigned static ip. -
Not at the moment due to the new pairing system implemented by them.
Some work but none of the premium content. -
1) A basic understanding will help (but the only way to learn is to take the plunge but your in good hands here)
2) very easy once setup, will/ should take of itself really
3) readily available but some images have autobouquets installed by default (which take care of the most popular satellite packages EG: 28.2 13 19 etc)
I'd recommend vix as it has all these things installed and our forum sponsor will flash it for you.

Looks like your router may have assigned your wetek a different ip.
Log into it and see if you can see the assigned ip to your wetek.
Or if your running enigma2 image on your wetek, it should be there under network - adapter settings. -
Change the mode on your remote, it may become usable again (or may not but worth a go, quicker than trying a fresh install)

when comt 2.18b8 patch.zip for ariva 202E,
No such thing as yet.
As far as I'm aware, the 202e has M3606 processor which uses the current firmware 1.2x (along with other various ariva models)
The firmware 2.1x is for models with the older M3602 processor (120,200,220 etc)
Your current patched firmware is here:

Scroll to the port number and just enter the new port number using the remote keypad.
Or alternatively you could try this method (original author cuebase)QuoteDisplay MoreIf you have a line and want to transfer to the box do the following.
Open notepad on your PC. Copy and paste your line details into notepad. Save the file.
When the file is saved you must rename the file to allshares.dat. Be sure you can see the file extensions on your PC. Foe example when you saved your notepad file make sure you can see the full path, the notepad file should have an extension like this .txt if you can see this then your ok. But remember if you cant and you rename your file allshares.dat it will end up like this allshares.dat.txt which is wrong.
Once you have your file renamed copy it to a memory stick, put in the box then back to the usb menu scroll wright till you see allshares.dat and press ok. Thats it your done.

I don't have experience with one of these but normally if you mount a network share (then browse for your "mycloud" ) you may be able to access it from your receiver then.

Have a look here to see what you like/what's in your budget range and post up any questions/queries you have about the one/ones that take your fancy:
