EPGimport plugin is required (there is also other plugins that i prefer personally)

Your only getting openTV data currently, which comes off the sat stream, hence you only have some data and not all.

You will also need somewhere to store the data, a hard drive or usb stick. Storing epg data to the internal flash is not a good idea.

You can also backup your current image to a usb or hard drive, that enables you to restore exactly what you currently have before making any changes or testing anything else.

We have gone way off topic for this thread, i will move these posts to a new thread of your own shortly.

Autobouquetsmaker dose not produce EPG data it makes channel lists

You have an EPG data problem

Read and understand the basics first, see BASIC SETUP GUIDE

If it were me...... i would spent the money on the old non FBC tuner type - please note the old tuners are NOT dvbSX - so multistream channels dont work

(i personally don't watch them anyways)

abu baniaz has said the the FBC tuners on the VU (and gigablues) always remain powered on.

So the Vbox will always see the tuner as being active and stay on. ( you can test this by placing your ultimo in DEEP STANDBY )

Theory: The Moteck may be designed this way. If it was faulty it would not move the dish etc. Point to note here aswell. There is mention of this in the troubleshooting in its manual saying its because the LNB is powered.

My primesat Vbox remains powered at all times the tuner is active.

When my ultimo is in standby the primesat also goes to standby

When i select an IPTV channel my tuner goes off, and the primesat again goes to standby

The primesat also goes to standby if i use other tuners.

As far as wiring goes, there can be one way of connecting up the Vbox so doubt it is anything to do with that.

It is your tuner set up that bugs me,..

I dont use the FBC tuners (because they cant blind scan) i have an old normal type (non FBC) Twin tuner in the 3rd slot that comes up as tuner I and J

The vbox with the 1.2m dish are on tuner I and another 80cm usuals dish in on tuner J.

When i bother i add other fixed dished to the FBC tuners.

Is i get a chance later i will try and mess about with the FBC tuners.

if i was using my current non FBC twin tuner - with one dish and twin LNB like you have.....

i would have the tuner setup like this:

I think Mav and Dan are Siamese twins..... as they behaved in the same manner, now both have gone bye-bye......

When time allows, it would be good to make a "how to install tutorial" out of the shit show that that thread became.

As you say a lot of good info there already :thumbs up:

Okay if you have a specific question then ask.

You are going to have to do a lot of reading, understand what is required, make yourself a plan of what your going to do, then do it.

    Very Basically

    1. Read and understand what is required before you begin.
    2. gather up all the required tools- Angle finders, signal meters, cabling, spirit levels, spanners ETC ETC
    3. Check line of sight for your required sats at your location
    4. Get mount and pole perfectly aligned
    5. Get basic elevation and DE inclination for your latitude and longitude - refer to your manual
    6. Install dish to pole with basic setup
    7. align with signal meter using 3 sats to get the dish to trac correctly (use 1 far west, one far east and one about in the middle)

I moved your post to its own thread.

Right what is confusing ? you could not have possibly read that thread in its entirety already.

I said in the thread i linked to above and will say it again... if you want to install a system yourself, for the first time... you can expect to spend several days doing so.

If you don't have the patience to do it yourself, get an installer to do it for you.

    Mav24

If you are going to have a go at installing yourself, read this thread:

The motors are very similar, the same principles apply to all installs anyways. What works for one person will not be exactly the same for another.

Take you time and read that thread in its entirety, despite several members spending a lot of there time, explaining everything in great detail the OP became abusive and was banned, however everything you need to know is there.

    qwerty

It looks like you have it running, but not the right version....IE it dose not look like a samur build to me.

    This is what i have

    Code
    root@vuultimo4k:/usr/bin# oscam-emu -h
      ___ ____ ___
     / _ \/ ___| / __|__ _ _ __ ___
    | | | \___ \| | / _` | '_ ` _ \
    | |_| |___) | |_| (_| | | | | | |
     \___/|____/ \___\__,_|_| |_| |_|

    OSCam Cardserver v1.20_svn, build r11718-798 (arm_cak7-icam_(samur))
    Copyright (C) 2009-2020 OSCam developers.

Whenever replacing a bin it needs to be named EXACTLY the same as you currently have, in order for the oscam script that you have to work with it.

In my case i have the file named as oscam-emu.bin

When i test a new bin, first i rename my current oscam-emu.bin to oscam-emu.old

That way i can just have to rename my file if i wish to go back to an older version.

You will see here, i have tested several bins on the old image i am currently running

    old bins.png

    So this is the procedure:

    1. rename current somename-oscam123456.bin to somename-oscam123456.old

    2. FTP the new-oscam.bin to usr/bin/

    3. Rename new-oscam.bin to somename-oscam123456.bin

    4. give your newly made somename-oscam123456.bin file 755 permissions.

    5. Reboot your receiver and test.
