HbbTv support was added into the ViX images from builds 450 upwards, this is provided in the form of a plugin rather than going down the dubious route of releasing a HbbTv and light image. This is as a result now also available to ALL OE-Alliance teams as well.

Menu> Plugins> green button> extensions> hbbtv ( not the ones ending in -po or -src ).

also be aware that the solo has very little memory so HbbTv may not work at all on this receiver.

Glad to see it working on other images nice feature the Plugin and i see the point of not having different images, But then again it has been available in Blackhole since august so other teams have had time to refine it so to speak.

it's also handy while you have the Blackhole Image on there to do the FPGA upgrade for the tuner as it may not have been done if it has it wont cause any problems doing it again. To do this press green button to access the plugin menu and look for the FPGA upgrade plugin and press OK, This installs firmware specific for the Tuner and has made it slightly more sensitive.

Also why not load one of the many available pre-configured channel lists either from the Blackhole image feeds or download manually and upload via Dreambox edit saves time scanning every satellite

I have vu solo and vix imagev I can see hbbtv turning green but no extra function I have tried long press on red button but nothing happens ant ideas cheers
    Wwe

I can only answer for Blackhole image and it works on that image, I am unsure if the Vix image supported hbbtv.

I have used both and both are great, currently running ubuntu latest the only reason i like this is the fact that you can insert a new CCcam.cfg without having to stop/restart CCcam like you do on debian, or that could just have been me. Anyway both very good

Yes the LNB is perfectly straight when pointing at 0.8° west.......As it was before I started.

    Thanks.

Thats one problem you can rule out then :-)

The only other solutionis as i mentioned you are not correctly tracking the satellite ARC

or it could be an obstruction say a tree of some kind or even interference from overhead cables

Point your dish back at 30° west and then look out from beneath the dish and see if you have any obstructions in your line of sight

You dont 'Skew' an LNB on a motorised system as when the dish moves and rotates skew is applied then, your LNB should be perfectly straight when pointing at 0.8° west.

This sounds very much like an ARC tracking problem as already stated you can pick 30° west up on a standard Sly mini dish

Vix normally has CCcam switch built in or it did have on the last version i tried which was 2.4 they may have changed it now but it has been built in from day one on there images.

I have also tried some of the free ones on both 19.2° east and 13° east and all was working fine, as mentioned the little hbbtv logo changes colour when on an active channel. As for the Button press i dont use the default keymap on Blackhole i just use multiquickbutton and assign which button i want where

there is a windows tool called win32diskimager-binary (also used to put the stock image on sd before installing on the pi) with this you can put the sd card in your PC , back up the image file to the computer using the reverse process to when you flashed the .img to the SD card, and to restore, just flash the image back to the SD and put in the PI

Yes thats how i loaded the image in the first place will give it a bash after, Just curious here does anyone know how many peers the Pi can handle with Oscam i would have thought it would only be a few which is all i would need for a few exchanges, I am mainly concerned about the loading with all connections.

Would i be better with a dedicated server.

    Thank you again

Thanks again musogeek i got a mate to try externally and its working 100% no problems, when you say back back it up can i just backup the whole contents of the SD card onto a Win PC or is it better to do it through putty

    Thanks again

Thanks for the reply Guys very much appreciated, currently just getting my head around linux some great Tut's on here so thought i would start small with the Pi.

@seamouse had exactly the same probs give it the No-Ip and it wont work even though the ports are open and are assigned to the Pi.

musogeek thanks i shall give that a try although my router has the option of always assigning the same IP fixed in the menu and i have all my ports assigned to the pi for opening and have used the canyouseeme.org and all is well, if it is still the same i will try the fixed ip.

    Thanks to you both

    Hi all,

Really new to this but have succeeded and got my raspberry Pi doing internal sharing, Its only a FTV card but wanted to have a little play until i move onto building a server.

Anyway as i say i have no problem sharing internal via CCcam or newcamd but i wanted to test external as in give myself a line with my No-Ip addy and go outside and back in again.

Its got me stumped on the Pi.

    Anyone thanks
