    Yes that should do the job. Several android apps are around that act as a client for your receiver's streaming interface, so will be able to access the recordings, tuner, and even the EPG. As I said there is XBMC for android as well, and this can now use an external media player rather than the one built in, so hardware decoding will work.

    It might be a solution, but it isn't clear about the processor on that link - You need hardware decoding and multi-core processing for it to be ok for HD to work.

    Also you could try the Raspberry Pi and XBMC - you will need to buy a propriety codec for a couple of quid, also - HD streaming wasn't too clever last time I tried this, but this was a couple of months ago, and there is now 512mb ram as standard so might actually do the job - not sure.

    Not sure you actually know what CCcam is. It is a Software CAM emulator that can be used with various Conditional Access systems such as Conax, Viaccess etc. You can use it with various Sub cards in a multi card reader, or you can connect it to a card/cards hosted remotely via Cline or Nline.


    Your geographical location has nothing to do with what version of CCcam you are using.

    reflashing will not lose your recordings - they are stored on HDD or other drive - reflashing doesn't touch this.


    No point doing an image backup if it is giving you these issues - not sure on BP image but you might be able to backup your settings - ie - plugins - channel settings etc.


    Of course if you are running CCcam/oscam you might want to back up your configs.


    Alternatively you can try what Ten Below suggested, or post screen shots to try to explain what is going wrong - because you said it isn't working but you haven't explained what is happening, what you are pressing and what messages you are getting etc - which would help if you want us to help you we need a better idea what is happening, rather than you telling me why you are trying to install the file.

    then before doing anything else or installing anything else - try to apply the fix. When it asks you if you want to do an online update once the image is installed - refuse, and then do this after the fix is installed and the receiver is rebooted.


    It is hard for me to suggest anything else because I am still finding it hard to visualise what you might be doing wrong, I did ask you to describe what you see after following all the steps of the fix guide, and you then went on to tell me what led you to search and find the fix, so no closer there... might save a lot of time doing the reflash and then trying again. I remember when I had the Duo and tried this image I managed to apply the fix after flashing but hard to think back to exactly what I saw! - should be as simple as pasting to /tmp and then installing with the BP panel and rebooting - should not have to chmod to 755 for this I definitely don't remember doing this.

    If you are using winscp, just browse to the tmp file, right click on the file and you will see a few boxes with ticks in, and a space to put 755 then save


    I have never had to chmod to 755 on package (IPK) install, only if I install plugins etc manually direct to the folders.


    If you can be a bit more clear about what you see, what you click on and what goes wrong, then we might be able to get a better idea


    You are just saying it doesn't work, and I haven't yet got a clear picture as to what you are doing in the image.

    /var/volatile/tmp and /tmp are essentially the same thing - /tmp - at least in the image I am using is just a symbolic link to /var/tmp - and /var/tmp is a symbolic link to /var/volatile/tmp - The arrow you are talking about sounds like an indicator that it is a symbolic link. Try to find /var/tmp and /var/volatile/tmp - if one of these does not have the small arrow on the folder icon, then it is probably an actual folder rather than a link, and this is where you should put your file.

    I think nano is right, on this thread you have used big yellow text (that I had to edit) and you are demanding and expecting a bit too much. This is a hobby that we do in our spare time, and although we can nudge you in the right direction, you need to spend a bit more time looking for answers that are already there, and less time asking questions. The questions should come after you have done your part in trying to understand what is there. A lot of us have some knowledge, but we might not have used your image, receiver, or had the need to configure things in the way you want to, so you have to try to put some of the bits together yourself.


    Oscam is a learning curve, but you need to install it first

    It has already been said that the card you are trying to get working is not one that most people here would be familiar with, so use search tools as nano said, once you have done your groundwork.

    Not familiar with this card - is it DVB-T ? - you have logfile in /var/log/oscam.log - have a look at the output on that file - or get it from the status page in oscam webif - post here so we can see what it is saying, hashing out any sensitive bits.

    did you extract the file - so you have a file called "oscam"? - this extracted file should be correct for your receiver, and if you replace the existing one and ensure that permissions remain 755 it should work after a full reboot - don't just do a GUI restart ensure a full reboot. Considering it is a big jump from an old version, your configs might also be conflicting with what it is expecting, so may be worth you checking your logs - you can see where your log file is on your oscam.conf file;


    logfile = (path and filename of logfile)


    if this isn't present then you can set up a log file by specifying a path to a logfile.


    If you reboot and get nothing in the logs after a restart, then there is something else preventing this from starting.
