    try to save the picon into hard drive and download epg to usb and it should work i hope.

    This should really be the other way round if anything - Picons are not stored in memory, so if installed to the HDD it will cause the HDD to be awake more than needed. Best place for picons is USB stick (although I use internal flash this isn't always recommended as so to preserve the flash) EPG data is stored in memory so should be OK saving to HDD, as this will be read on boot and kept in RAM.

    If you still have newcamd protocol set up in Oscam, and the entry in oscam.user that was set up to send your card to CCcam on the same receiver, then as you intend not to use CCcam alongside oscam on that receiver (as you are using dvbapi instead) then you can just create an nline on the other receiver in CCcam.cfg - This nline would be the same as the one you was using to connect Oscam to CCcam on the same receiver, but instead of the IP address being 127.0.0.1 - you would need to enter the IP address of the receiver running Oscam.

    Alternatively you would have to enable CCcam protocol in Oscam and create the an account in oscam.user as per below;

    in oscam.conf

    Code
    [cccam]
    port                          = 12000
    version                       = 2.2.1
    reshare                       = 1

    in oscam.user

    Code
    [account]
    user                          = local
    pwd                           = pass
    au                             = 1
    group                         = 1

    in CCcam.cfg (on other receiver)

    Code
    C: 192.168.x.x 12000 local pass

    replace x's with the rest of the Oscam receiver's IP address

    OpenWebif - on the ViX 3.0 image on my receiver - has the following options;

    Openwebinterface Enabled yes/no
    Http Port (definable)
    Enable Http Authentication yes/no
    Streaming Port (definable)
    Enable Https yes/no
    Https Port yes/no
    Smart Services renaming for XBMC yes/no

    What receiver/image you using?

    There are several plugins that exist that may be able to help - buyukbang can set daily tasks to set box to standby at set times each day, or you can set it to reboot, and then with another plugin called StartupToStandby, you can ensure that after a reboot your receiver will go to standby mode. Also there is a plugin called enhanced movie centre which can also set daily tasks similar to what I have just described.

    Have a look at your image's plugin feeds and you most probably find one or more of the above mentioned.

    Sorry i have must have done this wrong because i cant see the plugin,

    I have gone to extensions folder as your replay says and i have copied across the entire unzipped file including the first folder which says New Stream TV by ramier etc.. is this correct. So the unzipped rar has gone into the extentions folder as above and then rebooted i am running nemesis 2.6 on dreambox original

    The contents of the "New StreamTV by-ramiMAHER" once you have unzipped are intended to be installed to root - and the file structure is already set out - problem is this MAY need to be adjusted to whatever image you have as file structures can differ slightly, so care should be taken if doing this manually because you might be overwriting stuff and changing permissions, as well as putting things in the wrong place. It Says it should work, but I would say it is best to back your image up before attempting to install anything manually in this way.

    :beat_brick: going a bit off topic - it isn't an Amiko Alien 2 debate, the member wanted some tips about what receiver to buy - think he probably has enough input now so I think this thread has run its course!

    Fairly said jimux, I understand nano you don't like this box and your dispute with the retailer still hants you, but to help others make the decision I think we should stick more to the topic and be specific rather than ranting. From reading nano's and other people's experiences however I would probably nowadays spend a few more quid and avoid sh4 based receivers, although from my own experience with the Qbox Mini, I know you can tinker and get good out of them, albeit not as up to scratch as the mips based receivers (mainly due to support) I am sure there is a market for the Amiko Alien 2 for hobbyists who want a cheap box, and are willing to do much tinkering to get things as good as can be.

    From what you describe - all is ok but you haven't got a reshare - because you are using it on a PC server and connecting to your receiver your receiver will only see cards that have a reshare. You are effectively resharing it from the server to your receiver. There isn't really much you can do on a CCcam server to avoid this.

    i know mate i too want to protect it but some ppl just come to conclution your a pay server with no proof the others are on multiroom so i can afford to get it.

    You must understand why this conclusion has been assumed. Consider this, if you are not a payserver, how many of the people who are ultimately connected to your server are? Is it responsible to be on a tracker? Do you know who you are sharing with? It is little wonder why you are getting hit so much and running in to problems. Accusations are being made because you are going way beyond what is necessary to fulfill your needs if your needs are not commercial.

    Do you have all the cards that have been noted? Because it is a lot, and it is hard to understand why you would need all of these, as well as struggle to cope with the demand while running 2 sly cards.....

    Is there someone that can provide me a cline with reshare rights to check to be sure? If so not now as i am not home i will be home 8 hours from now. Thx in advance you people are helping me alot

    I don't know what card as he didn't told me he is not so good at these things i thing. And by now i think he is going to terminate it as he gave me cline for few days just to check. I'm stucked

    some things are so difficult to know them without any help :(

    If this person is your friend then you must know what card he has, and surely he would allow you a reshare and for you to stay connected for at least a while longer.

    If you are looking for a receiver that supports most of these features

    Technomate Linux HD Receivers

    have a look as our sponsor at the Technomate OE range. They do not yet support DTV, but with a bit of luck, this will be rectified in the future with driver updates so you could possibly use a USB tuner. All of your other requirements would be met by these receivers.

    You have to forward streaming port and http port in the router to the receiver if you want to connect externally. As i mentioned before, you can change the streaming port and http port from the receiver - go to your plugins menu on your receiver and select the 'OpenWebif' plugin.

    In your router, ensure you have fixed your receiver's IP address, and forward the http and streaming port to the receiver's address. Some routers you can forward ports to a mac address. Enable HTTP authentication, and then ensure you have changed your password in telnet as mentioned before. Then you can add the settings on your android app.

    Of course to connect externally you need to use your external IP address or dyndns address in the app.

    I think you are missing bits of information that are vital in order to do this, so you might need to take a step back and take note of all the steps needed in order to ensure you are not missing anything.

    Can someone help me please. I configured oscam and everything worked fine I can watch 1 channel and record another great, but my line provider do's not like me using oscam he disabled my line which is a dual login. Do's someone know of an alternative to oscam eg newcamd configuration where I can record 1 channel and watch another. Please help

    maybe if you were not using scumbag payservers, you wouldn't need to be asking for support on here - oh and read the rules - especially rule 1 and rule 13.

    <1> An Introduction post is required before you start using the forum, requests for support without an Introduction post will be ignored.

    <13> If you are the supporter of a Pay Server DO NOT ask for support, your request will be ignored.

    should be if that is the case from both sides of the connecton, but bear in mind that a lot of ISPs manage traffic in a way that can slow things down.

    All routers are different, on my router you can input the mac address and define the IP address to be assigned to that device and it fixes it, but if you are connecting on the http port but not the streaming port, then so long as the ports are pointing to the same device, the fact the http part of the process is working would indicate that the IP address is correct. Maybe you should try to choose a different streaming port in the webif settings incase your ISP is also restricting outside access to certain ports.
