    I have the one you was supposed to order! - there is nothing to set up really - If it is like the keysonic 540 rf then you have a little white button on the USB receiver which after plugging in, you need to press, and then press the Fn button on the keyboard, restart GUI and it works. Couldn't say if your one would work, but I have 2 USB keyboards and they both work so they are well supported.

    to check this further you can try in tuner config to disable one tuner and leave the other one enabled - for example if when you are watching telly and this is fine and you are using tuner A - try disabling this tuner leaving tuner B enabled. If tuner B is working then you have ruled out an issue with the tuner

    if that is the case then i am wondering if it is more to to with a tuner config issue, because if you try to record from the channel you are watching it records. Are you on a twin tuner setup?

    So when you do a manual recording it works and records to /hdd/movie ? and when you set up autotimer it sets it up as a future event to record in /hdd/movie ? if you set up a recording without using the autotimer does this do the same and set up to record on the same path?- I assume the time and date are set correctly? When you go to watch the recorded items, it is set up from /hdd/movie and the manual recordings are there?

    Another thing is it could be trying to record from a tuner or service that isn't working

    Not sure what could have caused it but a coulple of things to check would be the hard drive - maybe try to record something manually to see if this works, also look at your timer events to make sure autotimer is polling correctly and the HDD path is as it should be.

    It could affect it if you are getting your EPG from the internet (rytec etc) rather than on air, but so long as your receiver is still connected to the net then it wouldn't be causing the issue if it is still getting the EPG updates.

    If you have more than a single LNB on a motorised dish you can record one channel while watching another, but only if it is on the same satellite. You can watch a channel and record another on the same transponder on a single tuner setup.

    Having no problems streaming on NAS - select media player in menu then browse to the file you want to play, then press play or your green button. If you are pressing the 'ok' button on your remote that won't work 'cause it just puts the file in your playlist. To switch to playlist press menu and number 2 (switch to playlist)

    Are you actually seeing the files on your Duo or are they just there but not playing?

    On Vu+ you have an audio button on your remote as glen said often due to audio track. Also menu/setup/system/av settings - various audio/video options. Try messing with these - probably something simple - If it is an HD channel there are often more than one Audio track and one might have a carrier but no audio.

    Now I am able to answer this question I will, this is for Black Hole on VU+ Duo so would imagine will work for you. The Autotimer can be installed on Black Hole by Menu - Setup - Manage Extentions - (wait while updates catalogue), then select 'Recordings' - select AutoTimer, and then green to install.

    This works perfectly with CoolTV Guide, to install this, press Green to access Green Panel, then press yellow, and select Addons Download Manager, Select Black Hole Plugins, then select Cool Tv Guide v5.5.0 to install.

    Restart GUI, then to access the Cool TV Guide, you need a long Blue Button press, then for example select Cool TV Guide (this uses epg information already stored on your reveiver, so if you are using CrossEPG you still use this to update EPG). On the EPG channel and timeline screen, once you have found the service you want, you can do a long Green Button press to send the event to your AutoTimer, where you have further options to set the parameters for that programme. You can tell it to require the description to be unique for example, which means if if finds something that it thinks has been recorded before, it will not send it to the timer. This isn't foolproof where different episodes have the same description. When you exit AutoTimer it prompts you to check, select yes as this converts the selection to timer events, if you select no it will wait until the next polling time as defined in the settings.

    After installing AutoTimer, you should also set it up by accessing it in the plugins menu, and select it to poll (send selections to timer) and how often, and set other options as needed.

    Took me a while to get this working, but was important so I was always going to get there!

    You do need to be using Oscam to get Boxnation, and it isn't as hard as you might think getting Oscam set up as a server, while making sure that only the lines where Boxnation is working are serving the requests. Oscam isn't great as a server because it does things it shouldn't and will probably annoy your peers, unless you are only sharing local cards and not hops. One way to go about it is to set up a dedicated CCcam server on a PC and then use the line where Boxnation works on Oscam. There are other channels like this, such as PickTV. Whatever you decide to do the answers are already here, and sure there will be other ways around it:smile:

    Is the Android platform really suited for this purpose? I bet it still thinks it is a Phone like my Smart TV device does - I would imagine it is client only. If I am wrong then that would mean there would be something out there that could allow a server to be run on my tablet - now that would be cool!!

    Nothing in your config that will stop EMMs updating locally - if you want to use clients to update EMMs then you can change your fline from

    Code
    f: User1 pass1 1 0 0 { 0:0:1 }

    to

    Code
    f: User1 pass1 1 0 [COLOR='#FF0000']1[/COLOR] { 0:0:1 }

    the red highlighted number is what allows your card to receive EMM updates from any clients

    Of course that is supposing your card can be updated in CCcam, and it has been suggested that maybe it can't - if not then Oscam is usually very good at this!

    wouldn't know what you are missing if we dont know what you have already got:feel_good:
    Post here your CCcam.cfg file blanking out sensitive stuff like ip addys passwords and ports - quick look in google suggests can update in CCcam - but sure someone can confirm it here at some point!

    These issues have been ongoing for a while, and has been blamed on a server issue, which is odd considering other receivers can cope with the same thing. The only way I got it working properly was internally. Basically I had Oscam running as a server and I created a a local share to the EagleBox from my reshares on the server. I then had to restrict the server to only allow certain CAIDs and services to work for the local share using the oscam.services function. I don't think what I did to get it to work is practical to anyone really! I think the problem is the ECM handling is all over the place and it can't latch on to anything for any length of time.

    If you are like me, then you might want to get everything that can work to work, if only for the sake of it. Problem is that if what you are trying to do is only something that could be a good tool for someone who is trying to set up a payserver, then not many people here will be willing to share that information with you, and if they did, that information would be removed. The information we share on this forum is for the benefit of the Hobby, not to the detriment.
