    might be barking up the wrong tree whether this is related, and I have mentioned it before, but I noticed that JSC sports have changed the ECM length, so if you have a viacces card on 042400 caid being read in Oscam, then you need to amend your ecmwhitelist if you are using it. If you don't use this then you will be ok anyway - change whatever you have there to 52 and 57 - if you don't then it won't clear - maybe if you are relying on peers for the service, maybe they haven't done this - maybe it is more simple than a conspiracy!

    I have two c-lines to chose from, one of which is a test line (tried to contact the guy I got the main line from but I get no answer to emails, plus nothing from his website either)

    One of many reasons why you shouldn't use a payserver - while you are here - have a look around and you will find you don't need to use them :choler:

    Just a quick revisit to this again, my entitlements updated last night finally on my $KY ex contract sub card with Oscam/dvbapi using the methods described here and in the tutorial I posted a while back. I think the issue I was having was the channel I left it on. Previous months I had success on PickTV, but yesterday I read somewhere that $KY1 is the one to leave it on. Think was about midnight that I got the unique EMM, just the one, and it woke my card again, so now I can watch PickTV!

    when i add your line, oscam chang it to 4AE1@1F1F1F:2F,42 !!!
    Is it okay like that?

    I have seen a lot of posts saying that that is the correct format, but if you get the 1F1F1F there has been an error. I found as I said in the tutorial you have to do a separate entry for each caid/ident combination and separate each by a semicolon

    Code
    ecmwhitelist = 4AE1@000000:2F,42;4AE1@000011:2F,42;4AE1@000013:2F,42;4AE1@000014:2F,42

    OSCAM 1.00-unstable_svn build #4862
    Eagle box
    Config as Above Did NOT update my entitlements :doubt:
    is there a reason ! oscam alone with dvapi enabled and tuned to sly sports

    Thanks

    for emm blocking i always use this in the reader entry for my card, so it allows unique and shared, but blocks the rest

    Code
    blockemm-unknown = 1
    blockemm-g = 1

    also the entry in oscam.dvbapi is important to as posted earlier.

    I always have au = 1 so it saves me having to specify cards to send the updates to - incase I make a mistake - think from reading the wiki that au = 1 will send emms to all cards.

    I did have an issue updating my white card for FTV entitlements this month, and am not using it now - but it was fine the 3 months prior to that, and my MTV card activated straight away! - think problem with sly is they don't send out many emms so it is a pain - probably still easiest to leave in original box for a couple of days i think!

    that looks fine although i never needed to use the fix9993 = 0 bit and cccmindown = 0 isn't needed it will default to 0 anyway. If you have a lot of peers then you could change cccmaxhops = 10 to something like 3 because anything further down than 3 hops starts getting a bit messy.

    Groups are one of the most handy things in OSCam because it gives you complete control. If you assign a different group for each card or each proxy, then when creating a user account, you can decide what card or proxy you want to share with the peer. If you are sharing everything with everyone then you don't need to use them, but I found in the end that it is best to define many groups.

    Very important - If you are using OSCam in your own receiver to view channels as well as a server, you are probably using DVBAPI - If you want to view all the cards and proxy cards, then you need to add all the groups, so if you have 2 cards, and 3 proxies, numbered 1 to 5, then in your user entry for dvbapi you need

    Code
    group = 1,2,3,4,5

    You will only use cards or proxies that have their group defined, so it is quite important!

    From what you said you have the line in right, if the line is tested and it is coming back successful there is not much more you can do to get it working. I remember on certain channels where ecm requests are less frequent I had to wait a couple of minutes before it started working. I have seen an answer given to this problem in another forum that it is not a fault of the receiver, it is the server, but if something is not working in this receiver but is in another then that is just a cop out! I think there was also an update to the firmware a a while ago that was supposed to address the issues. I never used a line on this receiver from outside my own network, so I was able to resolve it.

    I had issue with this - I found that just waiting a while led to it eventually working. For me it seemed to me ok with the first ECM request, and then failed for the next one, and then worked after about a minute of waiting. I watched my OSCam server log to see what was happening while it was having the issues, and an issue I found wasn't helping was that on a channel with multiple caids such as JSC+ 1, it was having issues in determining which one to use. I found that if I defined the services on my server to block out caids that could not be decrypted by the server made the whole process a lot smoother. One of the issues with the EagleBox reported is the way it handles EMM requests. Not got this receiver now but that is what I did to resolve it.

    Have a look at your configuration - check the storage device is the desired one, sometimes this gets affected if you mess around with storage devices. Also you could try to update your rytec providers incase this has changed. Sometimes the epg.dat config file can become corrupt and if this is the case it might be worth deleting this before downloading again. As a last resort you could try uninstalling and reinstalling your epg plugin. Also bear in mind that if you have old channel lists, the epg data might be pointing to different channels! Following all this should get it up and running.

    the autotimer would go further than the standard timer that caz has highlighted. Had a look and although I have found autotimer files on the internet I don't want to recommend any incase you break things! - if you can't find one for your image, then I do know that if you changed to the Vix image, the autotimer is there already! I am using openAAF image on my receiver and it is there. Might me easier to change your image if you need this function tbh.

    For reading cards, I would say OSCam is your best bet, and it is also easier to get your cards to update with OSCam. It is possible to use OSCam on its own as a server, but you will arouse suspicion as to a lot of people OSCam server = card faker. If you are honest and your peers trust you, then it is a learning curve but good knowledge to have. I found a couple of fundamental flaws with the way OSCam handled requests when I was using it, but I had a quick look at it the other day after updating my firmware and OSCam version and these issues seemed not to exist (although I can't be 100% until setting it up in full again as a server)

    I noticed you did look in to setting up an OSCam/CCcam setup on Ubuntu, and this might be the way to go. You can have your cards read in OSCam, and then send them to CCCam via nline 256 using CCcam 2.1.3 - but before doing this, have a look as the CCcam sections in this forum where you can get details on what cards can be read and how to set them up.

    Probably best not to get too many cards as again people will get suspicious!

    There isn't a series link as such, but the thing you are looking for is called 'autotimer' - with this you can automate based on certain criteria, such as record a programme of a certain name on a certain channel within a certain time, and you can tell it not to record it if the description matches one that has already been recorded. It doesn't quite amount to a series link, but it is the closest you can get to one! It was already on my image's addon server, so have a look there or just use a search engine and manually install it. It works well with cooltvguide.

    On a Triax TD88 and Inverto Black Ultra, not too far from you, I am pulling it in at about 50 ish percent and getting good clear viewing on most channels on the nordic beam at the moment, saying that, conditions are good! - The European beam is getting my bar to 90%!

    Beware of planning regulations... If you go above 1 metre, and any of your neighbours don't like it, then you could find yourself with a letter asking you to take it down. Also some dishes quote a size that is not along the biggest dimension, so a 1 metre dish might actually be more than that, and still be in breach of planning regs. If you live in the middle of nowhere then you would probably be ok, but if you live on an estate of terraced houses like I do, then it is good to be aware of this.
