Not exactly a good idea to do that although it depends which model your official stb is? as long as active ethernet and telephone leads are not connected to your official stb then i think it should be ok to test channels are working on your card.

Yes i would agree that a new aerial is in order thats for sure..it will be a wideband aerial you are after which most are now.

Is your cabling also 40 years old or has that been replaced at some point..have a look at your signal strength and see what that says.

I will have another look at your configs later as i have to head out for a bit but i would look into what firmware is on your smargo and what type it is and also if it requires updating or a better version maybe.

I am only recommending a better reader but you might get it going with what you have.

Did you install this system yourself because your pole must be completely straight and adjusted on the correct bracket by way of a spirit level..you need to set it at the exact point on the pole where your clamps attach to the pole otherwise usals will not function properly.

What protocol is the user showing as that is making the request for nollywood mate..i dont actually think you have a problem tbh as it just seems to be false requests that certain users sometimes do especially csp/multics users.

Yes so your caid is 093e and it works in your receiver but that is an internal reader.

Smargo readers are notoriously problematic from what i have read over the years so i would recommend either an ftdi pheonix or an omnikey reader for your card,smargo readers also can cause problems if the wrong firmware is on them and i believe there is clone smargos.

If you only have a smargo then as stated above try (mouse) protocol and /dev/ttyUSB0 for your device name and try again.

Smargo i assume you are using which i,m not keen on, use an ftdi or omnikey external reader if you have one.

For a start your device looks all wrong mate but you should be able to scan usb in oscam and see what it tells you,,,edit your server and user account configs to something like this below and try again.

Also ask an admin or mod to edit your newcamd port out for you.

This is a common fault with V1 and certain batches of V2 clone units..is your box official or clone?

You will have to edit the *** with you know what to view that link.

I buy mine from a company i get most of my sat equipment from at a much lower price but you might find them cheaper via searching...its a pity you have already wasted money on a modulator without doing some research or asking on here!

Modulators only transmit rf signals...what your mate needs is something that will send the voltage required to power a tv link which standard modulators do not do.

Madhatter one of your user accounts has a hashed out option (#au = omnikey) unhash that if you use that user for au.

Is this familiar to anybody? Will reflashing with the hard drive already plugged into the motherboard help?
