  • Dm800 sim 2.01 clone safe image=open pli 2.01

    This is a stable image that i am currently using on this weak box and i will be returning the box to my friend with this installed...open pli are the best images for dreamboxes in my opinion and great for streaming...


    Bootloader 84b included//tspanel included..install and update!!!


    Only issues i found were that the swap file does not autostart after a full reboot but mfaraj57 is aware of this and will sort it in the next TSpanel release...thanks mate..


    I am using the internal hdd for swapfile but i noticed that inside his box there is a free usb port which is a great idea actually...use that and swap file 128mb like me...



    Also do not use the device manager to format hdd,s...i am using a toshiba 160gig from a broken laptop and the device manager seems to screw the hdd up and i had to flash dream-elite back to the box to reformat it...might just be me tho but the hard - disk built in utility on open pli works just fine...enjoy

    This image is courtesy of Toysoft from the ferrari forum so all credits go to this dude...bootloader 82 included.


    I have a friends dm800 pro here atm with sim 2.01 and i have to say its a weak box but this image and the open pli i have tried work well...use swap file tho...currently i am using 128mb on open pli and there is a big difference to be found...


    No bugs found and very stable...also has my favourite army skins so try them out...army curve///


    To install cams go into plugin downloads and select dream-elite=bh softcams...


    Only issue is TSpanel will not work so take note...otherwise a cracking image...enjoy..

  • VU+ Duo hangs randomly


    I was not suggesting that you upgrade your image just for fun mate...why would i?you are obviously having issues so all i meant was that you are best to use the latest image on whatever developer you chose and in your case blackhole...i use bh on my official duo also and there has been many changes in bh images recently so i dont think it would do any harm trying the latest image buddy.


    There is also a section on this very forum called softcam packs for all images so you might want to look at that because you could end up with the wrong cam from the tspanel...dont get me wrong the tspanel is fantastic and the work put into that is second to none...


    It would also be convenient if you knew someone with the same box as you could simply try the psu from that box to eliminate 1 possible cause that your duo is currently suffering.

  • High ecm times on BT Sports 1HD during the football game

    Last year i think people had problems with *** sports...high ecm times of upto 600 ms but only when the footie was on..when the fotie stopped times calmed back down to normal...i kinda suspect it might be something to do with the rom revision of the card but thats just a guess really..


    What is your rom revision mate


    I had 5 watching bt sports 1 hd and 3 including myself watching bt sprts 2 hd

  • DM800 HD PVR Excessive crashing


    I actually have a mates dm800 pro sim 2.01 clone here atm and i had a nightmare with it due to the box being **** so to speak...very weak processor on this mdel..he gave it to me because it was running like a bag of nails but i have found 2 stable images for it but setup with usb stick/hdd is recommended.


    If you have a similar box i can help...

    I have to agree...i recently purchased a venton hd2 receiver for a mate and stef who dealt with me on the transaction was superb and even issued a discount solely on the basis that the reciever i was looking at was not in stock at that time...


    Its mad that some people open a shop of any sorts and think that poor service will allow them to stay afloat///madness really.

    Haha i know that ****hole of a website you speak of well pheonix... i spent a few years as a mod there too..luckily i resigned months before F.A.C.T stepped in and closed them down..sad thing is they then went on and opened a paid cs server website afterwards.


    I definately think the reading of private messages is the lowest you can go when it comes to trust and if it is true that they were doing this then they will lose trust from more than just standard members... and i beleive the website myself and pheonix speak of were also doing this **** although they would never admit this even to staff...unfortunately all forum administrators have these powers if they wish but tbh if you are ohnest you have nothing to worry about..pm does means (PRIVATE) MESSAGE tho!!!


    Anthony at satstation i heard was selling dm800 clones and passing them off as official boxes a few years ago so this thread has kinda made it look like the rumour has some truth in it...weird thing is and could and probably is pure coincedental is that i put a dreambox authenticty test link on the said forum and low and behold he vanished from the site a few weeks later as the site sponser!!

    I have just read your first post properly and it seems it might not be software related then as you have tried official software....as you will know these boxes are extremely robust so hardware faults i think seem to be almost non existent on official vu boxes..


    Also installing cams on bh images has always been the same..ftp to tmp and install via remote so i,m not sure what your issue was there? whether an image ran stable for a while or not does not really matter..you should always update to the latest available image that the developers have issued especially if you are having issues!!!!you might as well try the latest software as from what you are telling us you dont even have time to install a softcam before the box breaks down anyway...


    If it is a hardware fault then hopefully it is just the psu thats at fault here as that can be replaced easily and cost effectively...when you are inside the box checking your fan etc make sure all connections are not loose also...

    Because i have never tried to receive both composite and hdmi from the same receiver this info could be irrelevant...with virgin media official boxes i remember composite would not work if hdmi was selected as the main source.

    Well what i meant Pheonix was that if the hard is inistialized it will format it to ext4
